Google services have nothing to do with the rom. What gapps did you use. The ones in the op are older.
So I didn't flash the SuperSU by accident, does this mean I will have to wait for a root for Lollipop to come out? I just wanted to see how this rom looked

Reboot to recovery now and flash it. No wipe or anything needed.
My recovery seems to be gone, I press volume down + power but it only glitches or something and then just shows the boot screen..

Yeah think it was a one time thing. Also noticed that the battery and data traffic in status bar overlap a tiny bit more noticeable when you have both incoming and out going enabled

Ya, we don't really like the traffic monitor as it is. Centering the clock helps with this but we are looking for other implementations of it.

Edit: Cons - no lockscreen notification, no non-intrusive mode in phone, hardware buttons in lockscreen does not have torch option, and no notification bar ribbon or toggles.

A small note I'd like to mention to anyone who's "lost root" after flashing any SLIM ROM, by default root access is disabled, you must go into developer options and on the click on "root access" you'll notice it says "disabled" so just click it and grant to apps and adb
Just to save you from panicking and coming back here all worried lol

If it's gapps for 5.1.x then it's OK, must be minimal gapps, you can install other stuff manually from Google Playstore.
EDIT: Would recommend using the gapps suggested in the main post. It seems 64bits variant. It's 88mb, so must be minimal.

Time for some PA Love
New Build has been uploaded.
Changelogs : https://plus.google.com/+Aospal/posts/HXncwLNiKG2
This time new CM12.1 debased trees has been used.
Happy Flashing!
Regards,
Sanyam Jain aka MIB007
Any feedback on this rom, how does it perform, what is the battery life like and important, are there any FC happening and how stable is the Rom. I am planning to install this rom but would like to get the above info before I try. Which is the best kernel to be used along with this Rom.
Yureka's stock rom is pathetic especially after moving to Lollipop.

Do you need any specific Custom recovery or any will work fine. I installed it using the CWM 64 bit recovery but the phone did not go past Yu boot logo.
Needs Work
Though the ROM is fast to boot, its missing so many settings - such as the soft reboot option, notification drawer setting, battery icon settings for the status bar and so on. Plz add the omissions. I tried your 20th May build.

I'd say its about a 9 stability wise. Everything seems to work. Needs some testing out in the masses to let me know what needs fixing still.
I use it as a daily ROM for weeks now.

Well in my opinion CM is a based on AOSP however it's not AOSP.
The reason why some people ask CM or AOSP is because if based on CM obviously we'll experience known bugs and so forth however if based on AOSP we won't experience the same stuff and we have reassurance that its built from AOSP, less bugs, less bloatware and a better stock experience. And that's why we ask, so we know what to expect. CM is not AOSP for many XDA users, correct me if I'm wrong.
What is the size and the original file system (Fat32, ext2...) of your SD card before formatting for internal use ?

About ROM
Github : https://github.com/BrokenROM
From Lead Dev, InkSlinger420
This started as my personal project..I was looking to start something that was exactly what I wanted on my nexus 7 instead of either a Rom with a bunch of features you need a search to find (not that there's anything wrong with that, just not my cup of tea), or too light where i needed a module to get it (not that there's anything wrong with that either). It is very early in, but I and my team are trying to make this a enjoyable project and keep it updated as best we can regularly. Keep it friendly, or GTFO.....Thanks guys..
Thanks to Slim for the best base...and anyone (person or team) who has helped me along the way..
Standard Disclaimer
No one besides yourself is responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please do some research if you have any concerns about features included in the products you find here before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if you point the finger at us for messing up your device, we will laugh at you. Your warranty will be void if you tamper with any part of your device / software. That said, I have tested this, and wouldn't post it here if I thought you would have issues from using it.

Installation Procedure :
Flashing procedure for the noobs out there:
1. Make a backup of your current setup
2. Wipe system, data, cache and dalvik cache.
3. Flash ROM and GAPPS
4. Reboot system and setup
5. SuperSU will ask you to update binaries. Don't worry, root is good. Just select yes to appease the app.
6. Profit!
If there are other kernels, mods or bootanimations or whatever other fancy stuff you add, do that after the initial install and boot. Be warned. If you have problems and are running anything besides stock BrokenOs, we won't support it. If you're flashing anything to your phone, we assume you have basic troubleshooting knowledge. Thanks for your cooperation.

BrokenPop is the Broken team's LP offering. the vast majority of the base is tracking from AOSP but there's much help from the hard working Slim team as well! Those guys kick ass. If you're looking for a clean, lean moderately themed M offering, your search is over. More features will be built back in as we move forward but it's time to show you around the new Broken goodness.

There's no problem with him posting this on XDA, official XDA staff are the only ones who can dictate what is or isn't posted here.

Good!
Well done dev for bringing this ROM to OPX. Nice experience testing this ROM for the first time, good battery backup, smooth, fluid, no heating problems. So far, I found only some minor features missing in this ROM: option to disable HW menu buttons, other than that I'm quite satisfied. Oh, and boot animation can be improved as well I guess..
Gapps link not working anymore. Can I just use any gapps?

I always use opengapps for all my ROM install, never having issues with it.

I'll look on the hw menu buttons. and about the boot animation, you have to stick to it or flash a custom one lol

Use any gapps for it, i dont have any problems with open gapps but nowadays open gapps are giving some issues, so for a safee side use banks or slim.
