This rom was compiled by me, Scott.Hart.bti has done the real work!
I am proud to present to you BeanStalk Builds put together by myself. This is a build composed off of the CM builds and i have added alot of features on top of it. So you get speed, stability, and ultra customization ability. Many of the additional code additions came from slim ROM and also Derteufels build and have been modified to work with my current setup. A huge thanks to Derteufel and the Slim ROM guys for their work and dedication. Also a big thanks to everyone involved with CM as that is the building stone in this project. Thanks to skyliner33v for the bootanimation and upcoming wallpapers!
I plan on updating this and adding features on a pretty regular basis, so if you happen to like this, keep checking back.

Before reporting bugs, please make sure you verify everything on your end and make sure you do a full wipe and format first to make sure it is a legitimate issue. Im going to say this once and only once... I am doing this for fun. It is my CHOICE to share my work with everyone. If you decide that you do not like my work, good for you.. Big thanks to $droyd$ for his Illusion kernel!
Just in case
This sounds amazing! Thanks! Ill flash later tonight and let you know how it goes! :good:
First thing I noticed was the GPS icon in the status bar isn't on constantly anymore. It seems to show up on and off as it normally should. I'll report back after running it for a while but initially it seems to run very well.
Booting up now.. Needs a new boot animation, it is the 4.4.4 and doesn't fit the screen - nothing I can't fix though by replacing it! Just a minor detail
Glade I handed in my note 4!

This is an issue on all lollipop ROMs for vzw. It works part of the time. Otherwise you can open terminal and type su then killall rild
To get data back
Download smanager (Free app)
It opens to a message..just hit OK
Then theres a weird view.. Look down at the bottom right corner, theres a menu button.
Select New Script
Name it something youll remember like "Radioreboot"
next have a menu again..choose smeditor
Type in Killall rild and Save changes
now go back to the weird view again and scroll down until you see the name you gave it
Open it and check su and boot buttons
reboot
When it reboots, you"ll get the SU notification...OBVIOUSLY grant
PROFIT
The THANKS button is to the right...LOL

HOLY BEANS!!
Ok, that being said, I have not found ANY issues yet..
I am not a bluetooth OR GPS user, so for those areas, I am of NO help..
This rom pushes the Bleeding Edge when it comes to Customizations.. I havent seen this many options on ANY of the new builds...

Wow! I'm glade I flashed this ROM, I love the UI! The keyboard is awesome. Thanks for this ROM. Wow.....
Is there an option to switch the notification to slide down using the right side of the screen and the left for thenquick settings?
getting desperate
so i wiped, flashed the rom then gapps (lp) and it booted but the setup wizard force closes.
it occurs to me i did not update my twrp before flashing. No biggie, ill just manually boot into my twrp right? but for some reason it will not. i am doing this. Hold power + volume down until LG screen , then release and repress. It keeps booting up into the rom and not my twrp. Please, can anyone help me get back to my custom recovery.
Sorry for posting here, i posted in the trouble/Help section but got no reply and i am phoneless.

i have done this countless times and it just keeps booting into the beanstalk boot screen.
Would me not updating my twrp before flashing the 5.0 rom be the reason for that method not working ?

Are you holding the buttons down until you see white screen? Don't let go and repress. Just keep holding them down until white screen pops up.

You have to let go as soon as you see the LG screen and immediately press the button combo again. This should take you to the above mentioned reset area.
Also as long as you were on Twrp 2.8.0.0 we first got you should have been fine.

2) Enter into your Recovery, perform a full wipe (Cache+Dalvik+Data+System).
3) Install rom zip and gapps, wipe caches;
4) Back to bootlader. Flash boot.img (fastboot flash boot boot.img), wipe caches (fastboot erase cache), perform a reboot (fastboot reboot);
Note: For KK 4.4.x necessary CWM recovery from Lloir's thread.
Note: For JB 4.3.x tested with recovery TWRP 2.6.3.0 .

I got the Carbon 4.2.2 too, and I wanted at all costs this port on enrc2b too, 'cause on HOS ville got a very good feel (smooth, fast and a large amount of free memory). Than to Carbon 4.2.2, this one is really better.
Consider that "soul" of this build is the official @Lloir's project CM 10.2.

HTC Zoe. I'm afraid that was rom sense frameworks related. Like HTC Camera.
Sorry but I can't see very well the shot, but you can change icon battery style in Carbon fibers --> status bar --> Battery bar and icon --> battery icon style (Circle w/ percent ?).
ill have a look, thank u very much

Playstore > Contact Picture Sync. Download app and run.
Assuming of course that you have enabled sync in settings of rom and in contacts first and that didn't work.
As for coloured wifi signal I'm pretty sure there was an option in carbon settings for that. Don't have it installed at the moment to give you the exact path though
hey
so i couldnt fix the cantact sync "bug" yet. sync is on, but facebook doesnt ask me(as usual) if i want to sync my contacts and the Contact Picture Sync app, works, but just for maybe 5 out of 50 persons =(
every contact is an google contact, i think the contact app trying to sync them from google, nut then im confused why some are able to get the infos from facebook.
strange...
but there is an other problem:
on every call, the person i called gets some kind of echoe (he hears his voice double). when i lower my speaker volume, it is better, but still hearable.
and nearly 30 times a day i get "kicked" out from the network. not just that the phone is loosing the connection, i have to type in the SIM pin every damn time.

//edit: can some explain me the GooManager(are there updates?where to find?are there notification for update?) and this nightly thing? thanks very very much

Hi, concerning synchronization goto settings --> account --->f acebook (for ex.), and you'll see, under "contacts/people" --> synchronization not active. Tap to enable.
Concerning miss data connect, I experienced same issue until my kernel wasn't flashed a couple of time, like in OP post #1 instructions: «Before enter recovery for flash rom, and immediately after, out recovery. Obviously in bootloader».
I can assure you that I see places that before won't connect in "3G" and now instead works great.
Note. If u flash kernel, better will be to flash again the rom (do a nandroid backup first). Good luck. :good:
hey, ill have a look, thans very much.
can u recommend a kernel?

Features
https://carbonrom.org/features/ (Pretty much everything.)
Nexus One specific:
Trackball wake toggle (Settings -> CarbonFibers -> Buttons)
Download here.
Read instructions before installing.
Installation:
If you don't know what hboot is, please read this first: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270589
HBOOT /system size 220
I recommend cache at 10mb
Wipe data.
This must be done before flashing zips if you want Mounts2SD to work properly, as Mounts2SD's zip writes to /data.
Install ROM.
(Optional but highly recommended) Install ext script such as Mounts2SD download here - same zip as my CM11)
You will need an ext partition on your SD card.
You can customize the settings after installation with the Mounts2SD app. You may want to move application libraries, for example.
TWRP also seems to not like Mounts2SD. CWM and 4EXT seem to work fine for me.
Known Bugs:
Don't even try screen recording
Evervolv base
HWA video recording/playback not working
no MMS
wifi tethering not happy - only works on no password
Keyboard
If system language is set away from English because of SIM card, keyboard will crash. Set up phone in English.
I myself am having some trouble downloading large applications, not sure where this problem is from
Big thanks to:
Evervolv - device/kernel/other repos. They're the guys that keep the old Nexus One going 4 years after it came out.
CarbonRom and all those who maintain the sources they use (Slim, PA, AOKP)
WoH, csytracy who helped me earlier on
dk_zero-cool, for mounts2sd.
spezi77, for maintaining some handy sources with qsd8k mods
Some of my sources are available on github: https://github.com/parkedraccoon/android_device_htc_passion/tree/kitkat-carbon, https://github.com/parkedraccoon/android_packages_apps_CarbonFibers
Carbon is just about as slim as CM, but does not include a music app. That's how I left the boot animation and some audio files in there.
Old downloads:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6H3m9ss3c8scnRKMGRPLS1QaW8&usp=sharing
Old Mounts2SD:
Some have reported problems with the current Mounts2SD script. Attached to this post is an old installer I used to use back in the 4.1 days that seems to work on sd cards that the new Mounts2SD does not. It is an Aroma installer - I recommend default settings except check dalvik along with apps.
Why is this not the main zip? Because it takes more effort and the current Mounts2SD script seems to work fine for most.
Looking for ART? I have not been able to make ART boot on Carbon, even when using the exact same method as with CM. I may continue playing around but I doubt I'll find anything.
Thanks, I try it now!

It's an issue in Carbon itself, actually. I'll try and make a workaround if I have time this weekend (again, I'll be busy)
It's beautiful.
The Carbon ROM is the ROM that has more style, so far, to Nexus One But most important is fluency. So I want to ask:
Is it as smooth as CM 11?
Anyone who can answer estrablecer diferecencias Thanks beforehand.

In test carbon for hour and I thing cm more stable cuz wifi region my phone freeze and become unstable
New update posted! Lots of new things. I love removing things from the Known Bugs list!
ROM itself:
Gesture typing fixed!
The ROM is not so tightly bound to 220MB, so it will take less time to install. Recommended hboot size is still 220.
Default ringtone not existing fixed. (This fixes the 'soft,' actually completely silent, notification sound, at least in some cases.)
I have fixed the error in CarbonFibers on Notifications menu where it crashes.
I may push my fix upstream to Carbon but for devices that do not require slimming, it is not needed.
Carbon:
Force high gfx mode (transparent status bar/navbar) is now officially part of Carbon. Performance -> Force high-end graphics. Surprisingly enough our very own drewis/texasice's commit is used!
Slim's PIE added
Lots of small tweaks, etc.
Check first post for update link.
Cool
Thanks for the new arrangements, and say why do not you fix some.

So far so good,
Cam+video working, which is a plus over some of the others
Data not reconnecting after reboot, but "Smanager" works to fix that
Looking forward to more options on theming and customization...
Texdroider dpi changer works to set at 480, and THAT is important to me
I flashed SuperSU using TWRP after first boot, then upgraded the binaries and NO ISSUES
Looking good so far guys

An even simpler option to always fix your data on reboot without the use of a third-party script manager is to add a script to your init.d folder.
1) Use your favorite root file browser to navigate to /etc/init.d
2) in that folder, create a blank text document and name it 00killrild or whatever you want so long as it starts with 00
3) edit the blank file to have these three lines only
#!/system/bin/sh
su
killall rild
4) set permissions to -rw-r--r--
5) once this is done, reboot. Now your phone will always reset the modem on boot and will do it slightly quicker than an app without the dependencies that brings along with it.
All of this is assuming that init.d tweaks are supported by your kernel (so far, the majority of these custom roms do support it).
Good luck!
Everything so far works well apart from a message that keeps popping up. "Call forwarding services has been canceled" anyone else having this problem?
EDIT
Data works for me without 3rd party apps or adding scripts.
Been running this since last night and like it. Runs very stable and apart from the typical data issues on reboots I haven't noticed any serious bugs.

you can use /data/userinit.sh to change the settings
thanks to @reaper90 for the original script for EliteKernel
Download
reaper90 said:
How to use:You can edit the script by using "edit_userinit.bat" in the .zip file, you can also start installation process right after you finished. Of course it is also possible to change the values on your phone once the script is installed. The script as it is provided by me only contains the default values, so if you don't edit anything, it won't change anything.
How to install:
1. Unpack the.zip file
2. Connect your phone to your computer, make sure USB debugging is enabled
3. Run "install userinit.bat" file and you'll be guided through the installation process.
The installer will push the script file to the right location and automatically set permissions as mentioned by nik3r. You'll need to reboot in order to make your settings apply!

I tried to install the ROM but it failed.
I flashed the boot.img in bootloader and did a factory reset.
I use latest twrp 2.8.7.0 and was running Lloirs ROM 20150917
same story here, this new version seems to have a lot of snags more than the previous one, wifi fails often, the google apps did install well but had problems to start, this is the first build having small problems so far(your original private build was very good CARBON-5.1.1-UNOFFICIAL-20150920-0305-enrc2b. or). I will continue to test and report with exact facts later.

Hi there, please follow OP instructions, it worked for me fine that way, make sure that you don't flash anything in the first boot up, and double check your vendor & bootloader
Yeah I am going to flash the stock MTC20L now just to see what's up, I've followed the steps to the letter and still looking at the boot screen with the circle. How long does it take for that to load the first time for you guys?

Hi, set up your apn manually, and check their security app, you have to give data permissions from there, set it to always or yes

Privacy mode not working, just a heads up. Set a PW for the phone, then went down to set a PW for privacy mode and it will let me set a PW for it but then when I return to the Privacy mode menu in security settings it will not allow me to enable it. I slide the button to enable it and it will ask me for the privacy mode PW, I enter it, but it will not activate. It just spits me right back to the menu to try to enable it again. Strange thing, if you go one screen back it will actually say it is enabled beneath "Privacy Mode" menu option. But if you click privacy mode to go into its respective settings, the slider will not be enabled and all options will be greyed out. Fresh wiped, reinstalled everything, and re set up the device and no change. Anyone else with this issue?

Guys I found out that Enforced GPU rendering is enabled by default, make sure to disable it, go to Accessibility >> Developer options & disable it from there
