Hi all,
My wife just moved from an iPhone to the ATT version of the Alpha a week or so ago. So far it has been all about setting it up to work like her iPhone. Don't ask me why she didn't just get a new iPhone if that's is how she wanted it to work. Anyway, I moved her photos and texts from her last iTunes backup using Smart Switch. Now she wants to file and consolidate her pictures that came in. I looked in the standard DCIM folder but none of the pictures that are in her gallery seem to be showing up there. Is there another place that Smart Switch uses for imported data? Any help would be great.

Today is her last day to turn it in and only pay restocking. So far she is willing to unlearn IOS, but you are right we went through this when the SGS2 came out and she did end up going back to iPhone. I didn't get a chance to look at her phone last night, but she is thinking that maybe they are in Picasa? I never used Picasa, but I'll try to look at it tonight and see what's up. And I'll let you know if she switches back. LOL

So my tablet was stolen a couple of days ago. I don't think I can find it or who stole it at this point. I do remember doing something like registration with Samsung after I bought it to get the TW update. Is there a way I can get Samsung to lock this ish up wirelessly? Or track it as well?

Sucks bro, and not to be smart towards your situation, but next time try something like SeekDroid. Its an app that allows you to track the phone, tab etc. You can wipe it etc.
Dont worry you have no idea how many times I think I am such an idiot for not having an app like that on the tablet! Unfortunately it is wifi only so I am not sure just how well those apps would have worked.
Just go ahead and install Plan B, when the thief connects to the internet then it'll get installed, unless they've reset it already. Keep us up to date on this.

Not to sure how recently your tablet was stolen but LoJackforlaptops.com works with the police to recover iOS and android devices. Contact their global support via their website above and ask to speak with one of their Recovery Investigators.

I recently flashed the online rom and its amazing the gnote went from the device i had settled for to the cellphone i always wanted. the one thing that is bugging me is that the svoice app only works with wifi. I found in one thread that to solve this I have to remove the proxy from the pan, but since I'm a noob would somebody care to help me out with a solution?
btw my best friend has been bragging about siri and that android will never be as good as his phone because of it on his 900$ 4s 64 gb( he bought it unlocked from apple as soon as it came out) and I'm sure he's going to flip when he sees that a phone half of its price contract kicks that little 4s's butt

Not sure what a pan is (APN?). I'm not familiar with network interfaces, but first, i'd check my APN settings.
If that doesn't work, i think it has to do with your version of S-Voice.

on the proxy it says not set. i don't really want to mess with that stuff unless i know what im doing
I don't remember this file being there when I freshly installed JellyBean 4.1.1 on my Galaxy Nexus, any idea what it is/does??

It appears to be on my phone and not the SD card. I'm using the Samsung Galaxy III. I'm going to say, "no" I don't use TB Pro since I'm not even sure what it is. Also, my phone isn't rooted to my knowledge in the event that matters.
if you have instagram installed it belongs to that app, its how instagram knows your device, i recently got banned from ig (dont ask y lol) and ive been looking for a way around it, one possible way around the ban is related to that file....my prob is i jus cant seem to find it, ive formatted my sd via windows 8 so hopefully that will do the trick..

Thanks Virgo! I was concerned it was a keylogger or something spyware related because I couldn't find anything about it. I appreciate the info.

That is exactly what it is homie. I had the same thing on my phone. I was able to find out when it was installed, then looked on my google dashboard to see where I was when it got installed. It happened at a bar. My friend Max borrowed my phone and went into the bathroom. Long story short, he thought I was bang'n his girlfriend. I confronted him, and he admitted it and let me see the other end of the app. Cool stuff as long as you're the one watching, and not being watched. It's from sms tracker agent. Look on google play. Somebody wants to know what you are doing when nobody is looking. If you see this and need more details I can provide them.

Ya I've been being stalked now for almost 3 yrs and well I don't really know anything about it due to the fact that I never wanted to but now I kinda wish I did. I have a HTC M7 w/ Verizon and well this is my 10th device they've sent me and well the same problem still seems to exist. So any assistance you could provide would be more then appreciated. My device is not rooted to my knowledge but it definitely gets hot all by itself. I keep deleting the app from my storage and well it keeps re appearing. The crazy thing is my Dialer is always running and this device doesn't even have service. So any help would be Awesomely appreciated.

It is your app data on your google account, then possibly app data on Microsoft accounts such as one drive and one note. Then any other emails are suspect too. I had to change all three of mine because the app data and system settings that are stored kept coming back. Get a new device, and get all new emails and never ever go back to them. Do not even save your contacts. The data will transfer in your contacts.vcf file. Trust me. Abandon ship.

I have it on my SD card and I don't use TB pro. Also recently my phone asked for a swipe screen lock to unlock my phone (I use pattern lock) and after swiping it asked me for my usual pattern. Is my phone hacked? What should I do?

Hello i have profig and i clicked in it it sent me directly to google play of a lost of tracking i camera etc things all relkaring to hacking a phone. My boyfriend has put listening devices in my house n trackers on my car but hes in total denial to hacking my phone i need to leave him he just wont admit it
uninstall instagram and delete the file. It won't come back unless you install instagram again...probably facebook has this too. I think the file name is com.ebay.somethingsomething in /data/data/

Hi, i have this file coming on all the time and i'd like to know exactly what it is . I've check property few times and once it was created in 1970 (??!!) So I don't think it is from instagram . I've also been jailbroken twice, in a week, then lost my keyboard, then 40 to 50 go from my pics just gone (few were new and not save, but ok) . Then, any info about that files would be great
Move over here from SG3 I never had a htc phone before. The reason for the move because I tried to change the crack screen on my SG3 and I screw up and the phone doesn't work anymore hahaha. I had the original galaxy and move to SG3 so instead of getting SG4 I figure I'll try something new this time plus I heard a lot of good thing about the screen for the HTC ONE which the most important thing about smart phone for me.
I do need help, been trying to import the contact from my sim to the HTC ONE but can't seem to figure out how, seem very hard to do so on this phone I wonder why ?

Have you tried the transfer content option in settings? It helped me transfer some things from my iPhone 4 to that, such as contacts pictures and messages.
If not, do you have a gmail account? You can sync contacts to your gmail.
Not sure but you should probably move your contacts to your gmail account, then back them up. That way when you get your aluminum Galaxy S5 with front facing S-Sound Speakers next year all you'll need to do is login with your google account and they all copy over.

Anyway another question is does T-mobile still offer the car kits that come with this phone on their website ? Cause if they are I will return this to Wal Mart and go order on the website.
No...it was a pre order thing. It's a nice car kit but it doesn't fit with a case so it may be a moot point and not worth it anyway

Well, you got the best looking phone on the market.How is the audio on built in speakers? Everybody says it's awesome! What do you think about it?

Oh man, I thought I was the only one still playing with this thing! Just dragged it out of my box of old phones (all HTC) and I miss the small form factor SOOO much. Too bad it needs a new touchscreen. $21 on eBay, maybe it'll be worth it for a fun little toy?
If anyone has the old ROM please post it, I'd love to use mine as a VOIP phone for upstairs.
