I'm using Micromax Canvas Magnus A117, can you help me a bit? WHEN I port ROMs the mp is,8mp? And when I replace the gallery and camera of my stock ROM the gallery works but the camera Force closes. :/ You know the solution for that?

You mean copy or port!? The camera works with ported ROM camera apk but it doesn't work with my stock ROM camera APK.
Ps: I tried pasting camera.custom in /system/lib and camera.default.so too.

if it doesnt work, then it is maybe because of your ported rom does not support 13mp camera

Nice UI as before dev, still have things that needs to be fixed
somethings not working :
1) Settings showing wrong RAM & Memory information.
2) message settings force closure.
3) proximity sensor not working while attending call by default.

message settings FC because of dual sim. if only 1sim inserted, you can access message settings
Yeah I tried it too. tried replacing it with samflare mms works fine.
I think Mms for Vacs needs to be recompiled including option for dual sim. But haven't done that before will try.

tried your metall.. mms.apk ......its working...
can u pls make a patch to make the fonts as like in note 3 rom....in this rom the fonts is too large.
the lockscreen is good but if u make a patch of lockscreen exactly like in note 3 it would be better becoz life companion is not replacing by any other names..

Whenever I flash a new ROM, I usually modify the framework2.jar & framework-res.apk to enable all apps in floating & multiwindow and 4 way screen & lockscreen rotation which I would like to share now.
Please flash it in recovery & enjoy.
You may wipe cache & dalvik cache (I don't normally do that)

I installed this on DN4 and it works great (this should get implemented as a standard feature, imo).
I noticed a bug: When I edit the apps that actually show up in the sidebar, it takes the wrong app from the drawer. I chose for example tapatalk, hold my finger down on it and swipe it over to the sidebar and it gets changed to hangouts when I release it.
(I've read somewhere that this might have something to do with the number of apps in the multiwindow selection)
Here's my workaround for that: Open the sidebar, push "edit" and then the "reset" button. This way, you will move ALL apps into the sidebar. Now you simply have to move the ones you don't need back to the drawer. :good:

How to flash update?
boot into recovery and flash the zip no need to wipe anything. Don't flash after flashing rom...flash after first reboot.
tips:
make a vcard backup of your contacts because this contcat app on miui rom will not show your sim card contacts...so make a backup on sd and then import.....
The rom includes miui latest app store and theme store...you can make mi account to download and use themes...[SIZE]

For enabling push notifications
go in the app info of that app and click on permissions, you'll see a red cross sign of the end of the permission page....click on that sign and a pop-up will appear....click accept and you will be able to receive push notifications...
gallery lags a bit....it'll be fixed soon though i have to concentrate on my studies as well.....transition between recent apps...also lags a bit...that is a kernel bug...requesting @hyperion to fix it as soon as possible

Hi,
I flashed this rom on my a116. Though, the rom looks fine, I am facing few issue.
a. No status bar on top, hence no battery indicator, signal etc.
b. Can not change wallpaper of home screen.
c. Taking a lot of time to boot.
d. Can not kill recent apps.
e. Cache cleaner shows increase in used cache most of the time whenever try to clear.
f. Many more feature enabled/disabled not working.

Q1.How to enable ROOT ?
Ans. SuperUser app has been included for controlling the root permissions.
Q2. Mobile Data ( 3G OR 2G) not working what to do ?
Ans. Just disable your mobile data first from the settings , then restart your phone , after restarting check your apn settings and complete them , then enable mobile data and it will start working.
Q3. Xposed does not works on the ROM.
Ans. MIUI does not supports Xposed instead of that you can use WSM Tools.
By using WSM Tools you can use the Xposed modules which are supported by WSM Tools.
Q4. Unable to download apps from the Play Store and large files when using mobile data ?
Ans.First open the Downloads app present on the home screen, go into its settings.
Change the download limit to unlimited and also disable Xunlie Download Engine . Now try downloading apps from the play store it should work and also you will be able to download large files.
Q5. How to move apps to SD-Card ?
Ans. Moving apps to sd does not works on MIUI.
Q6. How to Turn ON flash light from Lock Screen ?
Ans.The lock screen on the MIUI v6 or v5 had a few extra functions than the standard unlocking and shortcuts. One of them is turning flashlight On directly from the lock screen. For that, while the screen is active but locked, you just need to long press the home button and the torch / flashlight turns on. It would not turn off until you prompt it although the screen would go blank in a few seconds.
Q7.How to Change the look of Multitasking / Recent Menu ?
Ans.By default, when you press the Recent key (the left bottom one), the recent apps show up, and it is just the App icon that is seen. But, you can make it look like the iOS multitasking screen where large thumbnails are shown, with the preview of what is going on in the app. You can change that by “pinching out on the empty area in the multitasking screen”. Pinching in / out is what changes the look, basically.
Q8.How to Enable or Change Notification Light Color ?
Ans.There is an option that allows you to change the change the notification light as well as turn it off completely. To do that you have to go to Additional Settings section, and tap on notification light. There you would find four option, first would allow you to switch ON or OFF the Pulse Notification light while other options allow you to change colors for notifications, calls, as well as messages. You can choose only 2 colors ( GREEN OR RED ), which will appear in the LED present just below the home button.
Q9.Facebook Messenger pop-up head does not appears , what to do ?
Ans.Go to Security icon on the homscreen > Permissions > Again Permissions > Open Messenger > Enable Display pop-up window.
You can follow the same method for other apps as well which have the feature of pop-up head notification.

as MIUI ROMs are quite heavy, they need much more RAM and Storage to operate.
the only thing i want to ask is that, Is there any camera improvement in this ROM? because the V5 has good camera but when I used V6 by Junaid Butt the camera experience was very worst compared to V5.

Performance has improved from the previous versions.
Camera remains a little downside of the rom because of the kitkat kernel.
Let me correct you my friend that Junaid is no developer , he has just posted the work Lino for MyPhone A919i.
He is just a noob , he copied some elements and lines from my original MIUI thread.
I dont understand that why is he posting the rom without permission of the developer , if the dev wants he can post it by himself.
I will report against his thread.

Boot animation shows constant white symbol it doesn't convert to orange..and in notification drawer it shows no service in place of name of netwrk operator..rest is awesome.. Keep it up..and camera isn't much clear..:thumbup::thumbup:

Boot Animation is changed by MIUI Team , so i wont change it.
Operator name is not being displayed and in place of that no service is being shown , i will fix it up soon :angel:
Try some games on it and post a review.
Bro system ui stopped sudddenly when I enter the file manager..and remains constantly.. And goes only after reboot..

0. Make sure you have enable OEM Unlock in Developer settings!
1. Download Rom *.zip file, then upzip to get *.tar.md5 file
2. Download Odin3 v3.12.3
3. Flash Rom (*tar.md5) via AP on Odin
4. Wait until it is Pass then phone will auto-reboot, reboot to recovery
5. On Recovery, choose "Reboot system"
6. Reboot your phone and enjoy !

Thanks for the mod, I'm currently using another ROM but and it is working well, however it is based on an older firmware.
Will definitely give this a go and see how it goes.

Just to add on more details :
1) Before flashing this ROM, I was on the last update that makes the phone totally unable to charge.
2) I'm unable to flash anything into the phone including TWRP. Older version of original Samsung ROM couldn't work either.
3) I found a custom kernel on other thread and successfully flash it into the phone.
4) From there on, everything else works like normal. TWRP and this ROM went in smoothly.
