you cant ther is not offical firmware >4.2
but try the ROMs that I developed: http://supranet.org
But i see rom and he have android 4.3 or 4.2.2. How he author install this android?
Android is not a simple file.
Unless the LG update, which she will never do, it is necessary to make the port of a ROM Project (eg CyanogenMod) from scratch to make the device support Android more updated.
Ok thanks

CyanogenMod 11 ROM working on S5839i?
Hi!
I'm a bit unexperienced, and not sure about the differences among the S583xx models.
I have a S5839i which is still running Android Gingerbread 2.3, however quite badly (e.g. some calls do not show up).
So I'd like to update it to Android Kitkat 4.4.
For the S5380 I found the following manual:
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/update-gala...nstall-1430916
However, I am not sure if the CyanogenMod 11 is compatible with my model.
On the release note http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2587481 , it is stated:
So no idea, if this includes my model (is the S5839I as sub-model of S5830I?)
If so, is there any other way to update my phone to Android Kitkat 4.4? If not, is an update to Android 4.3, Jelly Bean possible?
Thx a lot!

i haven't show this phone
but if you have cwm recovery available in the phone than flash the kitkat rom package using recovery
Where will i find Kitkat ROM package? And how to install this package?
It simply is not possible on many devices, but if you are lucky, your device may be supported by CyanogenMod, or some other custom ROM. If it is, you can get custom recovery and install the custom ROM which will bring the latest versions of Android to the table. I would look on your device forums for any information first.
Checking for an OTA the old fashioned way (Settings > About Device > System Updates) might also work if your device is well supported by the manufacturer and/or carrier.

Very unlikely. Even KitKat doesn't run well on this device due to obsolete GPU drivers, so the chances Android L would run here are slim to none.

So this is why my kitkat in p713 is laggy because i can't even play clash of clans smoothly. Thanks for the info digdis. Maybe it's time to go back to jelly bean
I have the latest firmware (v20D, i think) with Android 4.4.2, maybe you should downgrade to a 4.4.2 firmware. And thanks for the reply, Digdis. I will stay at 4.4.2.
And sorry for my bad english
Lll
When i was looking for custom roms here, i found that they are generally modified version of stock jelly bean.
Isn't possible to take some kitkat rom of other samsung phones? Or nexus as they are supposed to be smoother? Or device like LG L20 which have configuration as ours s5282?
I am aware of drivers and different hardware thing (little bit), but still there must be a way to cook Kitkat with drivers for our phone?
Please do reply and suggest as much as possible.

how cyanogen works? correct me where i am wrong, they take some roms and modify for the required device.
Which roms are those? i heard they build kitkat for some nexus for which kitkat update wasn't available. How did they do it?

Cyanogenmod is developed as free and open source software based on the official releases of Android by Google, with added original and third-party code. Cm does not contain any bloatware and It offers features and options not found in the stock rom. Cm is much more custmizable than stock.
Hi everyone,
I need to install and run an app which needs Android 4.2 as its minimum requirement. Which of the ROMS for the LG Optimus L3 E400 do you think can do this? I have the impression that some of the ROMS look like Jellybean or Kitkat but are actually Gingerbread that was made to look like Jellybean or KitKat. My impression might be wrong, so its why I am asking which ROMS will actually register and run as Android 4.2.
Any reply is appreciated. thank you so much.
