Battery goes crazy - Sony Xperia P, U, Sola, Go

Hey guys,
Sincs ~2-4 weeks my battery of my Xperia Sola goes crazy. Everything was fine. At that time I had Xperia Revolution v2 installed [4.2.2.] At some certain point the battery of my phone began going crazy. When left it in fly-mode there weren't any issues with it, but as soon as I browsed in my Facebook app or reddit app or some other battery taking app my battery went from 61% to 22% within seconds. It often turned itself off when being at~20-25%.
Then I tried installing a new rom. (Ultra Xperia V11. (4.1.2.)) Generallly the battery life was increasing but I still have these sudden battery drops from 60%-20%. So it didn't help me at all.
Is it because I left my phone charged over the night?
Please help me! :crying:

Looks like there is a problem with your battery stats....
Reset your battery stats by fully charging it and then discharge it to 0% and let it automatically shut down... Then again charge it to 100% and then discharge it to 0%... Repeat this for 2 times and your battery should behave normal...

I tried this one,
Today I fully charged my phone, then I used facebook, youtube and instagram for like half an hour and It already shut down at 20% or something. Again I fully charged it and then it shut it off after using it. But Still I don't see any changes...

Then try a clean install of your ROM... Sometimes, dirty install of ROM results in several issues...
Clear /system, /data, /cache and dalvik cache and then reflash your ROM...
Hop this will fix your issue...

Within 2 hours, my phone got from 100% to 0%

Ok, I'm gonna try this. But if this doesn't help, I Don't know what else to do. Should I buy a new phone or new battery then?...

Battery problem

Hey dev's! I hope you have the solution to this... but maybe the problem is my battery is dead... :S
3 days ago I installed Cyanocomb, and everything worked right (after clean installation and wiping all the data and stats, including battery stats) but the problem is, when i put the carger at night, next morning the battery was completeley empty! (and I was near to arrive late at work because of the alarm )
I investigated, and saw that when the battery reached the 100%, it doesn't stay between 95%-100%, It only stops charging and drains very quickly.
I changed the Rom recently to Cyanogen Froyo CM6 6.01 and.... It still drains. Maybe I killed my battery? Maybe it's a callibration problem? (I deleted battery stats and used the battery callibration app, but it stil drains...)
Yeah, I know, It sounds bad for my old battery
Thanks for all the advices!!!
Try repairing your phone via seus and see how your battery is on the stock rom

After clean install of the CM6 ROM again, and callibrating the battery 3 times, It seems to work nice again... I hope I'll not arrive late again because of the alarm! XD Thanks pal!
How did you calibrate it??? I´m with a similar issue so i would like to know the process, I was looking for some information and I found this but I'm not sure if it will work on mini pro :S

Cwm advance setting wipe batery stats
After a week, yesterday the same problem again... The battery stopped charging, when I unplug the carger and plug again, It seems to charge 5% more, but a minute later it begins to drain again...
I tried to calibrate (I'm currently using Battery Calibrator form market), but after wiping stats and let it full drain, It needs a lot of time (red light blinking) until I can connect it, but after that it charges only 5-10% and begin to drain again.
I came back to stock ROM, and It is charging again!!! But why with a custom ROM am I experiencing this problem? (CM6 6.01)
Hmm, thats really interesting! I "caught" this issue too lol
Yesterday I installed cyanocomb 1.4 and before I went sleep the battery was on 50%.
After I woke up (~10 hours), the battery totally died. This is surprised me. I put the phone to charge (not from USB), and thats charged fully. Okay, I thought I let it charge a bit more and I will make a battery stat wipe. But after a while, I checked it again, and the battery was on 89% WTF?!
Please, forget this, now my phone is being repaired, it was a hardware problem (I guess is the USB connector)
When the support work is done, I will tell you the conclusions.
Ok, now the phone is repaired, and the problem was the USB connector. No software problem.
Problem solved, theme closed.

[Q] Rom battery

Hello last time when i was running Nessy#Fenice rom, my battery life was great, it could last for 4+ days without switching off my phone.
then one day i flashed another rom and wipe battery stats and the battery was no so great so i flashed back.
HOWEVER, i realised that the battery of the Nessy rom became horrible as well and was like dropping 2% every 30 mins! can someone help?
And also i would like to know which rom has the longest battery life? i only use 2g and occasionally 3g and i use my phone for texting and sometime go on wifi thats it thanks
--deleted--
Did you wipe the cache and the dalvik cache? After a rom flash, you should wipe the battery. Plug in your charger over night, next day you must have 100%, else you unplug for a second and charge again. The battery is full! Let the charger pluged in and reboot into recovery. Wipe the battery stats reboot and disconnected the charger. Now use your phone normally, run down to 5% and reload fully.
That's it.

If the ROM you are using is 2.3, then you can expect lower battery then on 2.2 while using 3G.
Install battery calibrator from market, charge to 100%, wipe battery stats and then use as normal. This should help a bit.

Strange Problem - Battery Wont Charge to 100%

every time i charge my phone to full, the battery level reads that i'm at 91%, never at 100%. i deleted battery stats in recovery but the problem persists. i got an htc inspire and running absolution 3.7. how do i fix this?
my current absolution rom is a backup. i had 3 different roms before restoring this rom. should i have done a full wipe besfore restoring the rom? could this be the problem why my battery doenst give a good read?
How did you charged before wiping stats?
The best way:
- power off your phone completely
- charge battery
- wait till battery-LED is green (maybe just wait a little bit longer)
- start into recovery
- wipe battery stats

the 3 Roms you used before were Absolution, too, but different versions? So a full wipe is recommended, but shouldn't be essential.
In case of trying fully different Roms, a full wipe / factory reset is neccessary, also if you are using a "xyz"-Rom before and want to roll back to a backup of Absolution-Rom.
also your battery might have started to get weaker. if you use the phone a lot and make lots of charging cycles battery life gets shorter. also if you plug it for a minute or for an hour its considered a charging cycle. so if you have a lot, then you might have to get a new one

hi choliemelan.. actaully, i used 3 completely different roms, not different versions of Absolution, just to let you know. tell me what you think i should do.
Its not a strange problem man, google it, it happens all the time, just keep charging it properly and it will be fine. I wouldnt worry about it, some phones go to 100% and drop like a stone till 90% then go normal, its just the way your phone translates it
I had similiar problem...whenever i played games or anything that used 30% battery or battery was below 20% I pluged to charge but it stayed there for 1:30 hour 0o. So i unpluged and played games till 0% and phone "died". Than removed battery for 2 mins and charged to 100% without turning on...
when you use all of battery take battery out(i dont know why but it makes battery better). This battery in androids really mess up things...hope u fix it
Nokia 3310 ftw x)

yeah my battery today started off at 97& after full charge. then when i checked on it 6 hours later, it reads like it started at 100%.. this is very strange.
Kind of similar problem with me, Even after keeping my htc one v in charging for 4 hrs, the battery still reaches 85 ~ 90% always, and then it charges at snail's speed.
If i restart my phone at this point, the battery indicator shows 100% !
I am confused, since if it was a genuine trickle charge, the battery percentage should remain same even after reboot.

Battery Life Issues on [ROM]CM9 4.0.4 ICS Liberty[09.Jul.2012]

I rooted and installed the [ROM]CM9 4.0.4 ICS Liberty[09.Jul.2012] last night. It is very slick and so far very stable.
My standby battery life seems decent, dropping a percent or two every hour. However when the screen is active at just the home screen with nothing open, it is dropping at atleast 1% a minute. I am not over exaggerating this, it went from 72% to 65% in 5 minutes just now testing the theory.
I have the following OFF: wifi, bluetooth, gps, syncs (except gmail once an hour), live wallpaper.
I have brightness set to manual, and very low. I have no widgets on screen except a time widget.
I have installed a number of apps (less than 10) since installing the ROM, including facebook, gmail, maps, gvoice, twitter, espn, etc - but nothing that is using location or updating real time at any point (to my knowledge).
Any thoughts on what my issue might be? or any further info I can provide?
Thanks! I love this build so far, I just need improved battery life or I am going to have to try something else.
you tried wipe battery stats?
and for me this situation whith battery in first 1-2 days is normal, than when you uncharge your phone to 0% and charge it to 100% 1-2 times everything settles into shape!
sorry for my bad english

I wiped stats last night after charging to 100%. I let it discharge and turn off on its own, and I am charging it up to 100% again now. I am hoping doing this a few times will make it better, because right now it is unusable.

I find that my battery does that when its working too had to keep a 3G signal. Try witching to 2G when it's just idle

I heard that wiping battery stats does nothing. A google representative said that the stats only show what has been using the battery in the "Battery use" app. Not how it reads the battery.

It's unbelievable,i use very well ,does your battery issue ? did you install other rom test it?

[Q] Innacurate Battery Percentage in custom ROM

I will be as concise as i can be.
Yesterday after weeks on the CM10.1 nightly, i flashed the AOKP 4.2.2 Latest Stable build for my GSM RAZR XT910. Naturally after installation i started playing around with the settings ad instaling apps. After a reboot(i had done many before), my phone showed a battery of 55% when i had around 90% before hand. Obviously suspicious, i shut down my phone and plugged in the charger while the phone was off. The battery charging splashscreen showed a charge of 90%. even booting in the stock ROM showed a battery of 90%. I have wiped the cache, Dalvik Cache.
So finally, what is the problem? Why does this happen? Anyone else had this problem before?

Sometimes you have to let the rom settle for a couple of days, before it becomes "stable" you could let the battery drain until your phone shuts down and then fully charge the battery..that's a way of calibrate it.
