I upgraded my N5 to an OPO a few months ago so I haven't used the N5 since then. I wanted to play with Lollipop on my N5 so I plugged it in and checked for an ota, which it found immediately. My phone was dead initially and I didn't allow it to build up a charge and I continued to mess with it so I accidentally killed the battery while the ota was downloading. I let it charge to 100% and tried again but it won't see any ota update and says my phone is up to date.
Anyone know how I can force an ota or get it to download (without sideloading it)?
Thanks!

So my 10.1's been stuck at 46% on the 3.2 update now for about an hour. Has anyone had as long of a delay?
Not sure how long to wait or, really, what if any options I have...
TIA
I am installing the update right now through OTA.
For me it stayed in '46%' only for a couple of minutes. Now i am at '51%'
I have heard it takes a while, I'd sit tight if you are still waiting...
On another note, does anyone know if this update to 3.2 breaks root?
*EDIT* Did update, root not lost.
Update: Called Samsung tech support. They instructed that if the update hangs the fix is to just turn the tab off and then on again. Update started again and completed without error.
Noticed my phone tried to force an update today while working, caught it with 4min left. I know there are issues with unlocked phones and roms and updating so i wanted to get a thread up here to let people know.
Update will FORCE itself, latest deffered time is 2/5/12, 4am (est for me)
So this should be a warning to apply the update in some capicity before you end up looking at your phone stalling out in the middle of a forced update due to bootloader/roms.
Woke this morning to my phone in recovery, it had done something but the update didn't go through. Rebooted back to my unlocked Rezrom 1.5 , later it tried again but I deferred it.
Hello,
I started OTA update to android 3.2 on my dads galaxy tab 10.1 3G (original rom and unrooted, it downloaded successfully (89 or so megabytes).
Then it restarted and updated with no problems, but then notice came up that another update is possible (~39 megabyte size).
So I downloaded it and galaxy restarted to install update.
And now it is stuck at 22 percent on logo screen almost for 1 and a half hours...
What do I do?
I believe resetting it manually is far from safe?
Good lord, why do you use OTA update. There's the downloadable which is more stable , And Odin > Kies by a long shot, a very long one.
I didn't know better...
The thing is still on
I think you can cut it off? I'm pretty sure it needs to download it all, then install it first making it safe
Thanks,
I disconnected the thing and next reboot update went as it should, although very slow.
I think they pulled the Android 10 update. I had the upgrade to Android 10 pending on my phone since it dropped. It randomly rebooted on its own while in my pocket (had to unlocked screen to complete boot). Fearing the worst I checked the OS version and found I was still on Android 9 with the November security update. When I check for updates, it says I'm up-to-date.
Did anyone else hold off on upgrading to Android 10 and found the update missing from their phone today?

Yep they pulled it.... I flashed back to Android 9 last night (due to wanting to install the Jan Sec patch) ...thinking I'd see the immediate update when returning back to the Android setup. I thought it was a fluke so I flashed again. Nope... they definitely pulled it.
I had to sideload the Android 10 OTA to install it via ADB.
Ever since i bought this phone in March, every update is installed Twice! - Once i update any security patch, next day same update is pushed and i have to update it again for the notification to disappear.
Due to this my Phones Motherboard already have been bricked once...
Now - A new patch have been released and i updated. Again today i am getting notification to update phone.
PLEASE ADVISE
So you've replaced the motherboard once I'm assuming? Maybe you should try downloading the last version of the firmware installed and try a clean install?
