What do you prefere silicon or hard case
Pros and cons to both. I use hard and TPU

Which one is better in terms of:
protection against drops
durability
No guesses, only experience please.
I use a black CaseMate and I have no problem at all....I use it for 6-7 months and it looks as new......and it fits perfect on my phone and the protection is very good....and in my oppinion it is much more stylish than Otterbox Commuter.
hmm thanks,
the only difference seems the thick silicone layer at the corners instead of a closed hard cover all around.
I guess it is better to have silicone at the corners to reduce shock but in the long term it will deform faster, what do you think?
Case-Mate
Im loving my Otterbox !!!
hmm I guess I'm liking the looks of Case-Mate Tough more than Otterbox.
buut will it protect well?
I was looking at both the Case Mate Tough Case and the Otterbox Commuter. I ended up going for the Commuter because I think it has better protection. From what I've read on here the Commuter is a bit thicker (more protective) and it's hard shell is made from Polycarbonate which is better than ABS for high impact resistance, which is why PC is usually used in protective gear. It's more expensive than ABS, and the Tough Case and Commuter are in the same price range...so I went Commuter. Happy with the decision so far.
I have the Bodyguardz pure already installed on my GN3, but I also want to cover it with a case. Will the Defender series be compatible with the pure already on?
As a rule of thumb, it is very unlikely that you'll be able to fit any thick (ie: 0.4mm like the screenguardz pure) in any case that is overlapping the front part of the phone. Rugged cases are molded to snap over the phone with very little play (especially Otterbox from what I experienced and have been told). I wanted to go with a Trident Kraken myself but I think I will refrain from doing so because I also want a tempered glass protector. There's some slight possibility that it might fit because the Note 3's screen is a bit "recessed" because of the bezel, so that might give a little room, depending if case manufacturers will compensate for this or not. Sad truth is: someone will have to try and report if a particular case/protector combo will fit or not. Only exception could be Ballistic Case's SG MAXX series, because what overlaps the front is made of silicon, and not polycarbonate plastic which doesn't flex. That's the one I'm actually gonna try with either the screenguardz or mime usa ghost.
I test few screen p. and few cases
First i have invisible defender screen p. Good but to much fingerprints.
Then i buy orzly tempered glass, and is just perfect
Cases:
Ringke max-very good case
Slimpack-same as ringke but more beautiful
Puregear dualtek-for protection the best for me, and very good looking, very bulky
Nillkin bumper-very very beautiful, good protection. But i dont like that is just frame. For me they need to protect and camera. And that will be the best. Like this, just frame and look nice. Less phone heating
Nekeda-cheap, very preaty, i think good protection, but not the best.
Now i use slimpack and orzly
I have a soft jelly case on my Note 10.1 that goes over the corners and covers them. What is the closet good brand version I can get for this 12.2. If nothing similar, what is a top contender for a TPU case? Would this be my best choice so I can wait, but people say they are heavy though, see here Thanks!

I found that the best suited for my needs was the Fosmon DURA-FRO Ultra Slim Fit Case Protective Shell sold by Sfplanet found on Ebay and Amazon.

The silmist TPU case can be found on amazon/ebay.
It's a semi transparent TPU case with an X shape on the back,
multiple colors available and dirt cheap since it is made in China.
I'm using one right now.
It's slim and the semi transparency looks good with the unit.
It also covers the buttons with thin TPU so the bezel buttons wont be scratch while still easy to press. :good:
The best TPU rugged is Otterbox

It is not obvious from all the listings I have seen. I know there is a sandstone snap-on "hard" case with minimal coverage, but are there any full coverage (with at least a bit of a lip) sandstone finish cases? A lot of the listings I have seen advertise silicone sandstone cases, but when you look into it further, they are all the snap on hard type.
I now have three cases for my OP6T and they are all pretty much crap. I like the thinnest case possible with some lip protection and good grip. The included one is the lightest and grippiest one, but looks awful since it is such a fingerprint magnet. I got a KuJi which looks like it would be grippier and it looks okay, but is heavier and not really grippy. I also got the Gogodog Alcantara which is also heavier and way too slippery. I just want a cheap Chinese full coverage silicone sandstone case like I have had for every one of my other Oneplus phones.
