I tried to connect dualshock 3 with Xperia zu. It worked well with USB connected but it won't connect wireless. It says disconnect USB now, with USB gamepad also disconnects. Whereas it works well wireless with sixaxis controller app
Help guys!

For PS3 use SixAxis. Search it on Google Play.

I don't have bluetooth, only usb

Gamepad takes a lot of power so a wireless gamepad works too good

Xperia P have bluetooth. You can connect PS3 pad to Xperia P through bluetooth.

With a cable or without? With mods like sixaxis or without? I seem to remember a situation where some controllers and controller apps wouldn't function properly on 4.3. I can't be certain.

I had the same problem. The pairing was forgotten.
I had to reboot the tablet with Bluetooth on and it worked after that.
If it doesn't work that way, try rebooting with Bluetooth turned off.
Check to ensure the ps3 controller is charged.
Try a different USB cable as well

Every time I use mine the pairing seems to fail the first time, if I reconnect the cable and pair a second time then it works fine.
hi, is it possible to connect more than 1 ps3 controller to the phone? if yes, How?
Turn on controler and bluetooth
Start scanning for bluetooth and if you see a ps3 controler click and pair
