[Q] What's your daily driver? - LG Optimus L9 P760, P765, P768, P769

Hello Optimus L9 users!
My friend has the P760 version.
I unlocked the bootloader and rooted the phone for him, and installed CM11 (I think, long time ago).
I've been to see him recently and he says his phone hangs several times and becomes unusable. Only a reboot helps.
I would like to know what do you people use for a daily driver?
The more stable and fast the better.
Please make some suggestions, so I can decide what to flash on his phone next.
Thanks.

New to the Optimus One

Hey there,
I just ordered an Optimus One (P500) as a temporary phone (for the remaining 8-9 months until I get an upgrade on my contract). So, to start with, I want to root my phone, but I don't want a custom ROM since I understand in a few months 2.3 is coming officially anyway. If I root, will I be unable to update when the official update comes along?
Also, any issues/problems with this phone I should know about.
I'm not new to the Android scene, I was a early(ish) adopter of it, with my previous phone being a Samsung Galaxy Portal/Spica (i5700), it was a good phone however it has far too little RAM (128MB I believe! - although a nice 800MHZ processor but you couldn't tell that it has this by using the phone it's so slow) and has recently become extremely sluggish.
Anyway, just saying hello, I suspect I'll be roaming around on these forums for some time to come once I get my Optimus One
Cheers!
Acoole
Yes. You can root your phone presently and still upgrade to the next version when it comes along, but be aware that you will lose the root privilages when you do so.

Can i change the ROM?

Hello guys, ive got an LG G2 (d805) 4 months ago from a brazillian website, everything was perfect, without useless apps and logo from any operatings. Yesterday i had to reset my device, and now on the apps field, have many many useless apps from VIVO and when i start the gadget, appears that logo too. First question, why that appears now and not before when i bought?
Second question, I dont know what ROM is installed, since i use JellyBean 4.2.2, can i Flash ANY Kitkat Rom? Or should i install an especifcly one? Please, someone help me, i'm new on this...

Yes, you can use any of the roms for the d802 version as long as you do not try and install the stock firmware for it via LG Updater or a KDZ/tot file flasher.

and you'll need this:

[Q] The Most Stable Custom ROM for L9 P765

Dear friends,
It looks like we lost few great dev so far, and face a lot of abandoned rom. Since then, i would try to use one custom ROM for my daily driver, and to use it a long time (since i would go abroad and will not flashing the device on abroad). Which custom ROM is most stable for daily use, and no need to update baseband (because i found it so hard to update). Thanks friends..

Hello.
I'm using currently Rammars Paranoid 4.4.4 http://forum.xda-developers.com/optimus-l9/development/rom-paranoidandroid-4-6-t2933958 , been using it for daily use(mostly twitter, whatsapp and instagram), no problem with that, pretty smooth fast, i suggest using Nova launcher, and if you like eye candy, get the Androidl theme from playstore, as far as you keep away from gaming, and really heavy apps, it is stable. No kernel panics, no unexpected shutdowns/reboots. All great. But the onlydownside, surprinsgly the best battery life i stumbled upon was for rammars lollipop, 5.3.2 the most stable to be exact.
Still, i`m right now about to restore CWM backup of a nandroid (v20h) to be back on stock, becaue, honestly, there won't be a more stable ROM than stock.
If you still have a stock rom installed, updating rom and baseband won't be difficult, if OTA or the LG Flash Tool won't give you anything newer than v20h(like in Europe) you need the appropiate KDZ file.
With a custom rom, seemingly the LG drivers and tools no longer recognize the phone, and getting back to stock or updating bb gets a bit complicated. I wrote down my sad story in Artas' thread, an finally I even succeeded, it's all there.

Sorry for offtopic, but getting back to stock is pretty easy if u use NANDROID, but if you want a full wiple, like the way you bought it, no CWM no nothing, KDZ flashing does the trick.
I'm sorry, didn't notice the baseband thing, on what baseband are you at?
hi i'm used 4.4.4. artas and think it's the better i have a p768

[Q] Do i install Hoapham's CM11 or L90' CM11 with extended kernel?

Hello everybody!
I'm looking to install CM11 on G2 Mini, i already read that CM12 and CM12.1 (and Blisspop too) have bigger battery drain than CM11.. But i have seen some people who installed the Hoapham's one and others who went to the L90 forum and downloaded their rom..
Question is: which one would you recommend to install? I'm looking for good battery life and being able to multitask (main reason choosing CM11).. Or you think that CM12 or another one is good for what i am looking for? I'm open to options..
English isn't my main language, sorry if there are too many grammar or spelling mistakes..
Thanks in advance!
i forgot to write that i have the variant d610ar (from argentina), and for now there isn't official lollipop for this one, unlike d618.. i did unlock the bootloader and installed cm12 a few months ago.. worked pretty well (multitask not available, at least not with many heavy apps), but random reboots every 2 and half days made me come back to stock..
any advice or tip?

The best L9 (P760) ROM

Hello L9 Community!
My old man has the L9 for a while now and it crashed lately (it gives a security error at boot).
So I decided to unlock the bootloader and then flash a new rom on it.
But before I get to that I need to know what the best ROM is. I'm looking for a fast and stable ROM, I don't need lots of fancy costumalization options. Just something fast and stable.
Are there also things I need to know about this device before I start? Because I remember from my G2 and G3 that it was different than flashing a OnePlus device.
Thanks for helping me out!
I use cyanogenmod 11. It's stable and it has some useful tweaks. You have to unlock your bootloader first, than flash a specific twrp from cyanogen post. https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2547442
I hope this helped you
