[Q] How to stop 1 app from updating - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

My phone is running a custom 4.4.2 rom. Recently, an app I use a lot stopped working after it was updated. I reinstalled an older cversion from a Titanium Backup. How can I stop that app from updating? I want to leave auto updating on as a general setting in the Play Store.
TIA

[Q] Planning to uninstall Maps

Hi,
I am currently on Galaxy S2, Gingerbread 2.3.3, and am planning to uninstall the System app Google Maps using Titanium Backup.
For now I will use a third party app (Sygic). However in the future I may want to install it later, but if possible I will choose to install it as a normal app instead of restoring the system app.
Questions -
1. If I remove Maps, will it affect any other part of the system that you would like to caution me about?
2. If I replace the system app with normal app, will I be able to upgrade to next version of android whenever it's rolled out for my phone?
You may just freeze it...
But as I know, there is no problem after removed it from system. I've my maps removed as system as well and installed with Burt Maps which Is non-system app.
PS, if you installed custom Rom, you won't get official update anymore.
Won't effect system upgrade.

[q] few questions before factory restore

My android is causing some problems. I am planning to factory restore my phone.
I have a few questions...
I have purchased lots of apps from Google play store. I do not want all the apps to be downloaded. How can I prevent all apps from getting downloaded to my phone?
There is a firmware upgrade waiting to be installed right now. is it possible to delete the firmware? I do not want to put that on my phone....
Re-downloading Apps
It has been my experience that only those apps that were actually installed on the phone are automatically re-downloaded. So, you could go to Settings, Apps, ALL, and uninstall those apps that you don't want to be downloaded after you restore. It might also be good to reboot after uninstalling, and before restoring.

non rooted tmobile
LG G2x
what android version you are using?
if you use android 4.0 or above
you can just go to manage apps and find google+ to disable
if you use android 2.2/2.3
i suggest you root the phone and remove it by some app or titanium backup
or you go to google play and disable the auto update of the google +

Reinstall apps from play store?

Anyone know how to get the play store to automatically reinstall all of my apps? I just rooted and lost them all, couldn't exactly do a Titanium backup since it wasn't rooted before.
I go to the settings in the play store and I see all of the apps there, just not installed. Anyway to automatically reinstall them without going through one by one

MIUI 10 Stable - Play Store stuck at 100% after Factory Reset and app data restore

As mentioned in the subject, I did a Factory Reset of my Poco F1 (for the 2nd time now) and restored user apps + data from Titanium Backup.
After a second factory reset I still get a really annoying issue: when I want to install an app through Play Store, I have to click on Install, then force close Play Store, when reopening it starts downloading, then gets stuck at 100%. I then need to force close again to have Play Store installing it.
I already tried a lot of things, like clearing data for Google Play Services, Play Store, uninstalling/reinstalling Nova Launcher etc. But nothing does fix it. Any hints? Thanks
EDIT: seems like disabling bluetooth and restarting device fixes the issue. But as soon as I activate bluetooth again (which I use constantly with a Mi Band), the issue is back.
Please up
Still having this issue after factory reset without restoring anything from Titanium Backup this time and clean flash of latest MIUI 10 on Android Pie.
Whenever I want to install or update an app via Play Store, I need to force close Play Store for it to install, else it gets stuck at 100% of download and other install/updates are queued.
Thanks!

Disable Google App
I have the same problem after update to 10.3.1. What do you mean with "Disable Google App"?

Don't you have 'Google' app in your app drawer? Go to Settings>apps, touch Google and in the next screen, 'Disable'.
