I know they are relativelyinexpensive item, but when I broke one & lost one I went out to buy a replacement. I could get any number of palm stylus 3 for $9 or 3 for $19 but none that fitted my XDA IIs. Then I went online and found the cheapest I could get mine was 3 for $30. Has anyone found any cheaper ones?
Also be aware of the 3 in 1, if the tip comes off for the pen, it can get stuck in the clip that holds it...
Good point about the 3-in-1 stylus. While in Hong Kong, I tried a few different brands until I found one where the cap didn't come off. I had to use needle nose pliers to pull them out. It is better to find this item at a retailer because you do want to test them. It is a great accessory though.
Replacement Stylii
Has anyone had any luck finding replacement styli for the Blue Angel? Mine broke last night, and I can't find the second which -- theoretically -- came in the box. I found my styli for my old XDA, my XDA II and some plastic one for an original Palm Pilot I still have laying around... <sigh>.
Anyway, I see them up on eBay -- and the sales prices aren't too bad. But the shipping and handling are three times the cost of the stylus -- and the price "break" for ordering multiple items only makes shipping for the additional items cost as much as the stylus itself!!!
Anyway, any direction you can point me would be most appreciated.
Thanks!
has anyone found a cheap stylus yet? i would be willing to buy in bulk and sell them at cost to everyone on here.

Just got a couple of these from the Sprint store, only $30 each out the door, 20% discount for premier customers. Worth the couple extra bucks to have it yesterday instead of next week.

that's great
I tried going the sprint route with premier discount, but as I only need one igrip and Sprint requires 2 items to qualify for the discount, factoring in sale tax it comes out to nearly $40 w tax for the igrip + the cheapest 2nd accessory for any phone i can find to qualify for the premier discount, so I end up going for online, as I didn't need it right away and can afford to wait.
I also ordered one last week and received shipping confirmation today, with delivery confirmation number. Pretty good deal if you ask me
Yeah got my tracking nun this morning, can't wait

Ok, I will be the one to ask, will this work with any cases? OB defender in particular? Thanks,
Brew
NO it will not work with OB defender, the defender is too big.
It is compatible with SOME thinner cases, there's a removable insert, take out the insert to use the dock with cases, install the insert to use with naked phone
it will work with TPU cases, some reported that it also works with thin hard case, check the other threads about iGrip or Car Docks
thanks.
Brew
Thanks for this. I was actually looking at this dock the other day. I couldn't pass it up at this price.
ordered mine now! thanks OP
Ordered mine today too. Thanks OP.

Can anyone tell me if the iGrip does NOT come with a car charger, and I would need to buy one separately. Correct?

Correct. You'll need to purchase one separately. I've been using the car dock for about a week now. I have a thin carbon fiber look hard case on my EVO 3D and it fits perfectly when you take out the insert in the car dock.
Thanks OP, I just ordered mine as well.
I already have the official HTC car dock, I'll compare them and keep the one I think is better.
Just figured i would share... i won a bid on eBAY for the Original OEM Docking Station which is typically $49.99 - got it for $21 - SHIPPED
If you are in the market for one, i would definitely go to eBAY. It works perfectly, excellent build quality too. Comes with a charger (says it's 0.15A) so i'm using my A/c charger naturally... lol
Do you have the URL?
For that price...sounds too good to pass up on it.
I noticed the $49.99 dock (/w extra battery) is straight from Samsung's site.
I did find that exact item for $40 on shopandroid...but still considered it a bit pricey based on my current budget.

well... it was an auction on eBAY
Just search for it on ebay but not "BUT IT NOW" i won the auction .. however there were probably 10 other auctions that were the same and nobody bid on them. it was very easy to pick up
Does the dock have hdmi out?

I bought an OEM Samsung EDD-D1G8BE for around $25 shipped, saw it on a few daily deal sites a while back. It is a Samsung GALAXY Multimedia Desktop Dock (the box has a "Compatible with Galaxy Note" sticker on it.) It has a LINE OUT and the micro usb, but that's it. Also, it doesn't fit with any case I have tried. I was wondering if it is really a true LINE OUT or is it the same as the headphone jack. When using the line out you can still control the volume with the phone, which is not the case with LINE OUT, as far as I know.
Puremobile is haveing a 35% off sale! and they have the nice OEM desktop dock!
http://www.puremobile.ca/samsung-eddd1e1begcan-galaxy-note-desk-top-dock
Check it out! cost me 45$usd after hst and shipping.
10$ cheaper than bestbuys before tax/shipping. (maybe they will price match)

After returning two cases to T-Mobile, looking at the lame Incipio cases at ATT, looking at Amazon every day and almost pulling the trigger on a cheap enough Supcase, I finally scrolled thru all the crap on Ebay and ordered 3 cases for a grand total of 22 dollars, yes 20 dollars less than the cheapest case at T-Mobile or ATT. Can you believe the S-View is 65 dollars at Att online, 59.99 from Samsung and lucky for me back ordered or I would have wasted money lol. I'm sure one of these 3 cases will be a winner, a man can dream right?
I originally had 6 cases in my cart and then narrowed it down, I have a white Note 3 fyi, here are the links to the 3 finalists in case anyone likes my taste, it took me 2 hours to wade through pages of them. I only looked at sellers in the United States, only Free shipping and of course buy it now. Can you believe some guy was reselling 5 dollar Upcases from Amazon for 49.99 on Ebay? I doubt anyone is dumb enough to buy one, especially savvy Note 3 owners. Guess I'll be reviewing these 3 cases in a few days lol

The Caseology case could be found cheaper on Amazon and that S View case you bought will not work as stated by other users in the S View threads. The $65 cases are the only working S View cases as of this moment. If you can cancel that Caseology case, you should and buy it on Amazon. It's the same seller too.

The Caseology is the same price once you add the 3 dollar shipping charge on Amazon it becomes 7.99 as well.
I put in a cancel request for the S-View one, worst case he sends it and I don't like I can return it. The description does say it will turn off and on the screen and you can use clocks and music etc thru the window, I sent him a message saying if they don't work I want to cancel but he is 98% rated on Ebay big seller so I'm sure he won't want a bad review either way.

They put "Leather" and "Matte" in their title. That's what got me since on Amazon it's either matte or the leather version. I was thinking of just the leather case which is $5 shipped.
What is everyone running for their Note 3s? (since many standard docks dont fit our larger, aka perfect sized, phones

I've ordered one of these, but it hasn't arrived from Korea yet:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/141179770720
I'm very much hoping that this (which I also ordered, already received, and works great so I'll probably be getting another one for my desk) will fit into it, and I'm pretty sure it will:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6SPYJS/
If not, I'll just order the official LG charger to fit in the dock. It's not much more expensive.
Also, check out the Car Dock Thread. There is some discussion of wireless docks in there:

I did a diy a while back (couldn't justify spending 50+ on one) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2537590
Still working perfectly to this date.

iBolt qi wireless charging dock build
Here's my build post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49542102&postcount=224
This is a copy of the post I did for the same topic when I had a Nexus 4 about 9 months back. I also used this setup for my Galaxy S4 and now I'm using it for my Note 3.
I just finished installing my Smart Fit2 (model TCD-C800P). There are plenty of pictures of it and a link to order on the thread for LG WCP-300, but I mounted it on a different base. It was designed to hold the WCP-300 Qi charger, but works fine just as a mount with no charger, and is inexpensive. I paid $19.95 including shipping and I think it's a few bucks less right now.
The base I used is a 17mm ball adapter on a PanaVise vehicle specific mount that fastens to the dash frame behind the radio trim. That part took about 10 minutes to install and used the existing radio screws/holes. The metal bracket fits without any noticeable gap in the trim. I picked this method to keep the phone in easy reach, out of the windshield, and as a bonus it's where I can aim an air vent at it if the charger starts to warm the phone up too much.
If you want to do this in your car you can save from 5 to 10 dollars by looking up your dash bracket on the PanaVise web site, then order it through Amazon.
The WCP-300 charger is $40 from a Verizon store or from their web site, shipping is free.
Not only did the pictures disappear, but when I COPIED the original post the XDA app evidently deleted the entire original post, and the app won't let me insert a new picture, I think they want me to buy the premium app.
Just use your imagination.

Granted it has been 6 weeks or so since I looked, but back in October or November the supply of the SmartFit2 dried up. They went from >$20 to <$100. Great concept, but the dock has been unavailable.
UPDATE: Just Googled this, and I guess a supply must have been located in Korea. Available on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=LG+WCP-300+Smart+Fit2&_sop=15
There is a great youtube video on how to use the inexpensive koolpuck in place of the more expensive one from LG: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTNAPp2UkkI
In the end it makes a nice clean wireless charging car dock.
this was my take on in-car wireless charging...

Ebay was where I found the Smart Fit dock, and mine finally arrived from Korea a couple of days ago (it took just under 3 weeks to reach me here in the US). The Power Bot charger I bought ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6SPYJS ) fits perfectly, and it was clearly designed to do so. The dock seems pretty sturdy and holds the phone securely. The Note's size makes it a little awkward to reach the release button, but I've almost gotten the hang of releasing the phone with one hand without dropping it.
Incidentally, that charger appears to be a generic model sold under a number of names, including Power Bot, MuchBuy, DigiYes, and Koolpuck. The unit and packaging look to be identical, whichever name it is sold under. I haven't had any problems with it and now that mine is installed in my car, I'll be buying another one for my desk.
