When switching to silent mode, media volume doesn't change at all. Sometimes I forget this and get into troubles...
A link media volume with ringtone & notification option into sound settings would be very useful to me.
There is no more work being done on KitKat

Ah, ok. I'll wait for Lollipop then. Thanks.

Is there an app/widget that can mute ALL sound settings in one go?
ie, mute all sound settings (un/lock screen, touch tones, ringtone, msg notifications etc.)
Or do i have to go to sounds each time and mute them seperately?
Seems annoying that i have to go into widget locker each night to mute the lock/unlock sounds.......
Cheers.
Sound manager in the app store. You should also have a toggle to turn silent mode on.

cheers, tried audio manager and its perfect!
Is there any way to completely stop volume adjustments in settings like stock "turn off sound" accessibility settings, I find it useful in school, Im open to a root solution
Another option is to disable the volume adjust sound and have an override to mute volume again like some apps but I can't work out how to stop the beep on volume adjust?
Thanks in advance

You can try Volume Control+. When you add the widget choose 'Volume Control+ Silent Switch. One tap on the widget and my volume is silent and locked. You can also set the widget to toggle between normal, vibrate and silent. It's the best I've found and I've been thru most of them. Btw, I use the pro version..so not sure what settings are available in free version.

I have 4.3 on my S3 and I can no longer link ring volume and notification volume in settings. I used to be able to control both with the volume rocker, but now the rocker only controls ring and not notifications. There's no longer an option to link volumes in settings and what's worse, when I tried a few apps like Quick Settings, the option to link notification and ring volume was grayed out.
It's such basic functionality, it's really annoying I can't find a way to do it.
Any ideas? Does exist any mod?
Can anyone tell me specifically what/when/why this icon comes up in the sound panel ...and whether or not I can remove and unlink it's volume with my media volume. It's making my volume adjustments stall. I have no UPNP, share, Bluetooth or anything on ...
The last icon which looks like Miracast or something similar
After getting my op3t I was quite disappointed when I saw that you couldn't have silent-vibration-normal modes on the slider. Neither you can hold the down volume button to get to vibration mode.
I tried many apps that tried to modify the slider setting but none of them really worked. But finally I came across this.
This app won't substitute dnd for vibration mode but it will give you fast and easy access to vibration mode. Just download it and set the quick setting tile within the first 5.
In the screenshot you will be able to see there is the vibration mode symbol. That is the tile I'm talking about. You only need to press it once to get into vibration mode. And to get volume again you only need to press the volume up button.
But it gets better. Even if you can get to silent mode from the tile. When the slider is on the silent position this title will change to silent and won't change even if you press it.
