Is possible use Android Rom from HTC Tattoo? In the future. Ofcourse. Becouse hardware is similar as hardware from touchcruise.
No way!
Greetings

could you please elaborate "no way"? What is the obstacle? I am sure may of us would love to see Iolite with Android.

because porting android needs a lot of rewritting the drivers and how to speak to youre phones hardware
and even the great phones like my blackstone dont have android running
and they are trying to acomplish that for over a half year now
and many other huge phones dont have a working android for there phone
and it arnt that many people here with the iolite so i think we dont have programmer how can make it for us ive it would ever be accomplished on other phones
best regards
miniterror
I donĀ“t can better say this.
Greetings!
HI!
Sorry for stupid questions...but I dont understand why someone should write new driver? Hardware are (almost) the same. Why you can't use tattoo's drivers without changing?
Best Regards!

well its like putting diesel in a benzine car

Im starting to regret that i bought this phone.
DLOAD bootloader still locked after a half of year. No active developer and no interest from the famous DFT team. Shame. What do you think i want a unlocked phone, should i sell my lumia 800 ?
Regards,
Oli

Oh im not joking I dont really see any inprovements in Lumia 800 DLOAD developement I see amazing custom ROMs for unlocked ones but no progress in DLOAD unlocking, quite a pitty
fyi man i dont mean it badly
i agree. And finding a qualcomm one is a *****,found one with 2.3 and eaaarly firmware,it was still DLOAD One nasty thing is we won't get wp8,and probably when devices with wp8 appear, dust will settle on our loved lumia 800

It's not like our devices will stop to working when WP8 is released. Another thing: no one is preventing you from messing around with the bootloader, there is a lot of information in the Dev. thread to get you started on working with the BL. And saying there is no progress in Development and Hacking on the Lumia 800 is just plain wrong...
No,it will not stop working, but there is no development for us with DLOAD bootloader(90% percent if not more)...

How is there no development? Developers will still try to target as much devices as possible. And you call a 103 page thread about the bootloader no development?
yes since nothing has been achieved?103 pages,2 pages, same to me if it doesn't work

What are you referring to by "doesn't" work? The technique there works for every Lumia 710 user and some Lumia 800 users. The thread contains valuable information about the bootloader itself and the filesystem on the phone. By saying that "nothing has been achieved" you are ignoring and offending the hard work of tenths of developers that risked bricking their devices by doing pioneer work. This thread has a great number of explained approaches how different levels of unlocks could be achieved and discusses how the current methods are blocked. Even by reading the last two pages you can see that there is still some movement. But most users just come here and complain without even trying to help to improve the situation.
If a fully unlocked phone is your priority, and the features that comes with it, you've chosen the wrong OS. Don't buy a phone expecting it to be unlockable. Your fault really.
Buy an android if you want a hacked device.
Sent from my Lumia 800 using XDA Windows Phone 7 App
Im not really talking about OS. Im a .NET developer and i want to experiment with interlop services in developement, also all of the otger devices like HTC Titan are fully unlocked so its a shame that Lumia family stays locked and even if i read whole DEV tread and i know everything about bootloaders in lumias, nothing interesting was achieved in DLOAD territory DEV thread is now filled with speculations but not with the actual progress.
Well, there's an easy solution for $99/yr

Right, never owned a windows mobile in my life, Im an android person, but Ive just bought a nokia lumia 800. The phone is a few months old but its in decent condition for its age. What can i do with this phone OR do to it (without screwing it up). I know the lumia 710 can be jailbroken (hate that terminology, jailbreaking is for ios devices). can the same be acheived with the lumia 800?? I guess i should do a search. Easy to do or a ball ache? Im still going to stick with my htc sensation but its handy to know this stuff and where better place to find the experts than on xda forums :highfive:
Any help and advice will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
Edit.................Ive just found what Im looking for thanks

hi nice to see another lumia fan well it goes somthing like this
if your lumia has a qualcomm bootloader your free to install the custom rom in the dev thread on here but as i have found your phone might be on 7.35.0.0 and come up as qualcomm device but if you dont have access to the nand (in windows it would come up as a flash disc) then your pretty much stuck with stock roms and stock apps untill the dload bootloader is cracked. have a read in the dev forum there quite bit of info to get you started

Yes, no better mobile phone operating system in my book. I couldnt turn down the chance of the lumia because it was cheap. And a change is as good as a rest so the saying goes

Tip for when you need the phone to last longer (like weekend visits etc.)
Sync and mobile data is a huge battey drain. Disable mobile data and it the phone will last for days.
My advice is go slow..
With Android, most of the stock google applications like gmail were garbage so you had to go to the marketplace to find better versions.
Also, you have to root Android phones to get rid of crapware installed by carriers.
With WP7 and the Lumia..
Like iPhone, all the stock applications are excellent quality. The Mail program for instance is second to none; I don't even have any supplemental programs to it..
Also, while the Lumia will come with carrier crapware, you have probably already found out you can simply longpress and delete these with out jailbreaking or rooting. I understand this was a rule Microsoft imposed on all carrier programs to create another selling point for WP7..
So the only reason you would need to unlock would be to install homebrew applications, custom roms, or simply dicker around with the phone. All of which are fun to do but unnecessary.
In short, I found with Android (I had a Samsung Vibrant), you HAVE to unlock and Root just to have a good quality system. With WP7, you don't - the phone is good out of the gate and you only need to Root & jailbreak to do some higher level experimenting.
Good luck - hope you enjoy the phone!
What should I do?

Hello,
I have some carrier crapware into my Lumia 800 - it doesn`t let me to use another SIM card but the provider`s (it`s locked on Bouygues Telecom - France) And I was wondering if a NOOB`s guide to interop unlock my phone exists. Thanks.
Android convert
My first visit to the lumia 800 forums and I am in the same boat as the op.
I've been an android fanboy for several years (htc desire, samsung galaxy s, htc sensation, htc one x, acer iconica a500) and have found myself obsessed to the point of addiction. Yesterday, I bit the bullitt, put my one x on e-bay and ordered a network un-locked lumia 800 to be delivered today.
I would like advice on how to unlock the full potential of my device and will be reading this forum very carefully before I do anything risky but, before I start, could somebody possibly advise as to wether there is anything that is important to address before and during my initial set-up?
Hopefully I will not become too obsessed with my new venture and any informed advice would be much appreciated to a windows phone noob
ps Had a windows mobile 6.5 device a few years ago
Ive left the Lumia 800 as it is. I wanted to jailbreak it as I wanted to install a specific gps app, which I have on my androids but do you know what?? Nokia Drive is really really very good imo. Im happy with it as it is. The interface took me some getting used to though but thats just me. I will probably end up jailbreaking it in the end as this is what Im like, but for now, its ace

First few hours on the device and loving it. Couldn't sync google contacts which was really bothering me but did an update whilst searching for a solution and the update had solved the problem!
Would love to 'jailbreak' it (like to mess) but, rightly or wrongly, I am getting the impression that it's not possible on this. Any ideas how to do this? Is it like root access.
It's all very different to android but makes a great change so I think I'll be staying with this little beauty for some time.
Hello,
I'm senior member, and i don't understand why there is no hack, unnoficial rom, or challenge about the Lumia 920 hacking.
It's a very very good phone, like the venerable HTC HD2, but....why there is a little subject in the Lumia 920 Windows Phone Development ?
I know Windows Phone 8 is newer and we need hacker but i hope we could doing amazing things like the other phones

Because like the 900 before it, it is impossible to crack the boot loader and so most devs have given up.
So....i'm sure that our famous Cotulla can do it

It's why I'm still in possession of two HTC Titan I (Eternity); it is the last WP device to be successfully HSPL but it is by no means a sure thing as later "new" Eternities were a crap shoot when it came to unlocking their bootloaders.
Hopefully someone can crack the bootloader

The ONLY phone that i know of that falls remotely into your question is the HTC HD2 which is a windows phone that can run android thanks to some REALLY dedicated devs, But to answer your question directly, No, the lg g2 does not have windows roms and very likely to never have one and also there are no android devices to my knowledge that can run a windows os.
