I quite like the today screen layout on the XDA-2 from O2. Is there any way I get this type of layout on my SPV-M1000 ?
Thanks

Click on today tap the o2 today theme and hold it...and click on Beam File send it to spv-m1000 via Bluetooth.
Should Work !!
Thanks - You are right it would probably work except I don't have access to a o2 branded XDA. Anyone care to email it to me ?
Thanks

here u go....contains 3 customized themes downloaded frm the net
original o2 theme
Thanks to all for posting those themes. Much appreciated.
Unfortunately, the theme I was after does not appear here. When I saw the XDA-II in the O2 shop the other day the today screen had a series of icons down the left hand side of the screen and then immediatly to the right of it was the normal today screen items like appointments, owner info etc. I thought this layout was included in the today screen. The nearest I have got to it is the BatteryPro utility but unfortunately the icons are positioned across the top of the screen, there is no option to change the position them.
I have the O2 XDA ROM. Would that work if I installed it over the top of my SPV-M1000 ?
Thanks again anyway.

You need to install the O2 Active UI which is included in the XDA II Official Upgrade (172.XXX)
I don't know if version for Second Edition is available...
If you can get it (the SE version) please pass it to me... I need it also
Cheers,
O2 Active UI attached.
Hi
Can anyone tell me what the icon on the far left of the PZP Today screen?
When I tap on it it seems to change between 4/5 different icons but does not actually do anything?
I would REALLY like an extra icon for 'Meetings' all the other icons are in use and one I could tap as I go into meetings would be really useful?
Regards.
Robin
PS Using beta 5.2 and going to buy today as I don't want this very useful software to expire. ) I hope 5.2 is released today?

Have a look here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=6162
My understanding is that it is only active in the payable version and it allows the application to change mode automatically at given time.
Just found this awesome app to put the date on the notification bar.
It's called Date In Tray
I could not find it on slideme....you haveto get it on the android market and move it over. I don't have the xrigts to attach a file from my computer or I would.
Nice little app.. You have to select the lower right of the screen for the date to pop up. (notifications area is blank without any items listed).

In the Apps settings, you can change the icon color from Black (default) to White. That's why you aren't seeing it in the Notification Area.
Hi,
Glad you guys like our app (BTW: new version was released today and shall be now available from Market). If you got any sugestions or requests or maybe bug reports, feel free to speak here. I'd also warmly welcome people willing to help translate it to additional languages
nice app until it stopped working, stuck on: service disabled you have to upgrade...
Hi Folks:
I am a developer and developed a contact widget that could put all your contacts on your homescreen, and bring up the QuickContact dialog when user click a contact. The app has a free and paid version already available on the Goolge Play Store for a long time. The source code is availalbe on Github.
My widget is welcomed by most of users, however got some serious problems on Sony Xperia devices. The QuickContact dialog seems not poping up and freezes user's homescreen untill they hit the Back button. This is the line for bringining up the Quick Contact dialog for a particular contact:
QuickContact.showQuickContact(context, intent.getSourceBounds(), uri, ContactsContract.QuickContact.MODE_SMALL, null);
I noticed that Sony UI does have a similar QuickContact dialog and wondering how I could use that?
Greetings! I just upgraded from and an LG V20 to an LG V60 ThinQ. Yes, I skipped about 4 generations, but the V20 served me well for almost 5 years, so I figured if it ain't broke don't fix it.
However, the time finally came to upgrade, and now that I have, I've found a lot of things have changed. One that I'm most curious about is the ability to change App Icons to ones that I designed myself. On the V20, you hold down on the stock icon, a menu pops up giving you the option to change an icon or rename an app, and viola! It's that simple.
I've tried everything I can find on the web on how to do this with the V60 and nothing works.. They mentions icons that don't exist, procedures that don's work, and on and on. Does anybody know of a simple way to (a) change from a stock icon to one of my own, and (b) be able to rename an app to a name of my choosing? Under Wallpaper & Theme, there's a section titled MY ICONS...but it's grayed out and I can't get it activated.
If this has been covered before, I apologize.; but I just had by V60 activated this morning, I've been working on customizing it all day, and I have a splitting headache. Any ideas, tips, tricks, or suggestions? Thanks in advance for any and all advice given.

I had a V20 as well. LG no longer supports custom icons on the stock launcher. This functionality was dropped, I believe, with Android Nougat. You would need a 3rd party launcher now
custom icons feature in Apex, Nova, & AUG launchers
It took a lot of will power For me to cut the umbilical cord between me and my LG V20. But I finally did it and got the V60 which I absolutely love. With that said the LG V20 was probably one of the best phones I ever owned and I still have 4 of them tucked away in a drawer. I bought it primarily because I I had not seen Battery replacement feature since my Samsung note 4. The other reason was the 2nd screen I absolutely adored it. The only thing that I don't like about the V60 is that with as big as the screen is, LG could have put in a second screen at the top and had plenty of screen real estate left over, with a high resolution that the phone offers. So actually with the dual screen attachment you would have 3 screens. Go figure, What a wonderful idea that would have been. Who knows maybe by the time we get to a V80, they might think of that.

Sorry I forgot to actually answer the question. Check out Apex launcher classic. It will allow you to change the icons to anything you want and resize Any widget to your liking. Great program I've been using it now for a couple of years. Specially like the screen transition effects. Don't upgrade to the pro most recent version because it has less screen animation effects in it. Very versatile program.
I'm using X Icon Changer. Works pretty well with stock launcher. It's in playstore.
if you don't want to change the launcher for some reason, and you want more work, then you could use App Cloner, or any or those apk modifying apps to change the icon to whatever image you want, plus also disable network Internet access and so many other options. a good one for the dual screen is forcing the app to open in window mode for multi tasking.
