[Q] I9300 Perseus Kernel - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

After installing, the Adaway webserver no longer stays on & I'm experiencing serious lag in games, when playing more then a half hour. The RAM is close to full & I would have to exit the game & re-enter for it to stop. Also some apps just hang sometimes. When I pulldown the notification bar it would just stop half way sometimes & I would have to keep clearing RAM for it to stop. Is there anyway to fix these two problems? I'm on Jelly Bean 4.1.2.

How to fix long timeout after app crash on ICS??

Moved to ICS and found anone annoying issue which i cannot fix:
if application crashes then everything freezes for quite long time(may be up to 30 sec) before show notification about crash.
On Gingerbread it happened instantly.
Probably, it's because Samsung ICS firmwares are still experimental (dispite being called as "release"). But... Is there any solution to eliminate such long freeze time?

[Q] Awake bar problem in battery usage menu

Hi everyone,
I have a SGS2 with I9100BVKL1 FW on 2.3.6. Yesterday i rooted with CF-root and after that flashed the original FW. This morning when i got the phone off charge i realized that in 3 hours the battery drained to 65%.
When i go to Battery Usage under Settings i noticed that the Awake blue bar is interrupted (i must mention that in that period where the Awake bar is interrupted i didn't touch the phone).
I also attached a photo of the screen.
Can anyone tell me if that is normal (the awake bar being interrupted) and if not any remedies?
Thank you in advance
P.S.
Sorry but i have the phone in romanian. The awake bar is the "Activ" bar under the WiFi bar.
I get this sometimes. Most likely is you have data networking on (mobile internet) and/or certain apps keep trying to update or sync at regular intervals which 'wakes' the phone. Until you root and remove all bloat, this is unavoidable. Oh and uncheck GPS settings in Locations & Services menu.

Thank you
Thank you for the response.
I ended up install betterbatterystats and i saw that under wakelock the aplication Tango was most active. I unistalled that application and now there are no problems. It was probably trying to access the net to do i don't know what.
Thanks again for the reply.

[Q] FC's after hard CPU/RAM games

Hi all!
I'm facing a problem, mostly with FIFA12 and Dead Space. My device is a WT19a, stock rom, locked bootloader, and i have some widgets on homescreen, including Smartcontacts.apk (from Xperia NXT UXP pack by przemo5020). When i end a game and get back to the homescreen, a FC's comes out saying that Smartcontacts.apk has been stopped. The only thing i can do is to reboot my phone, cause i can't go to the homescreen again. WTF happened?
sorry for my english
The games might still be running on background and eating up a huge amount of RAM causing other apps to FC. After you finish playing, stop them from Running services at settings or force stop them to avoid restart
Hope this helps

(Verizon GS4) Rooted 4.3 Serious lock screen/home screen lag

I am currently running rooted MJ7 (Verizon Galaxy S4) and have window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animation duration scale all turned off in developer options. I hoped that this would reduce screen and lock screen lag, however, I am getting pretty pissed about waking my phone and have to wait for 10-15 seconds for any touch response. This happens about once or twice an hour. It also occurs every so often once the screen unlocks and I will wait 10-15 seconds for anything but the wallpaper to load... I have hard reset multiple times hoping to clear the issue. I use zero widgets to avoid load time (however the hardware in this phone should be able to handle pretty damn much anything), and I manually clear cache and kill apps regularly....Nothing has helped... Any ideas or anyone else experiencing this?

Do you have lock screen effects turned off (light and water)? Turning those off really helped with the stutter I used to get when unlocking. It wasn't nearly as bad as what you're describing though... are you running any performance tweaks? Any 3rd party apps that change system behavior? I would freeze any non-stock apps and mods for a day and see if you still get it.

Haha, I actually feel quite noob at this point. Immediately after creating this post I went through my running applications in rom toolbox and noticed one little thing... There was a system cleanup tool running a total clean at every system lock, thus killing all running/background apps. The lag was simply the phone restarting the necessary applications... After eliminating this procedure I no longer experience the severity of lag. Whoops.

Background application download problems after Marshmallow update when using Power Sa

*edit: I apologize for the thread title, I didn't notice that I went beyond the character limit while typing.
I seem to have noticed that when using apps that download and sync things in the background (Spotify, Messenger, etc.) while Power Saver is enabled, they stop updating once the screen is turned off or when multitasking. I can tell they stop transferring data and performing tasks once I switch apps because they vanish from the notification shade.
I've never had any problems like this before on Lollipop even with the power saving mode active. I usually have my phone on Power Saver all the time, and it's frustrating me to an extent seeing as to how Marshmallow is forcing me to have it turned off just so I can use my apps properly. I've tried checking app optimization and the apps I mentioned have been turned off for optimization. All my applications are updated as well.
Is this a common issue? Any help with fixing this would be great.
