You should never flash anything that is not for your model number. Different phones have different hardware, mainly the processors. There are plenty of good ROMs for the Sprint version of the Note 3, even a good Note 4 port. Also if you were to flash software designed for a different device you could hard brick you device which would suck. I'd encourage you to read the forums a little bit, there's great information and most people are will to answer questions as long as they haven't been asked already, plus use the search bar here and that may point you where you need to go. I hope this has helped you out.

No, flashing the whole firmware from a different Note 3 is not a good idea, especially a stock firmware package including modem & bootloader files.
You may get away with running a ROM from a different model using the instructions in THIS thread.

I get myself a Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9300T a few months ago. I bought it from Bangkok, Thailand. And I live in Malaysia. That means : my phone doesn't have warranty anymore.
I just rooted my phone last Monday. And now I'm planning to flash this rom - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43677412#post43677412
And I checked in the google, someone said that I have to unlock the bootloader in order to flash custom rom.
My question is : do I have to unlock boot loader to flash custom rom ? ( I have already rooted my GT-I9300T )
Seniors, please help me. I hope that someone will answer me, please don't ignore me. Thank you. All the best for you.
No. You to not need to touch the bootloader at all.

The only difference with the "T" model is it is optimised for Australian frequencies, standard i9300 Roms work fine, and the modems work ok but if you go to the modem thread you can grab the modem/Ril for the T variant you will be optimised for Australia

Nope. Only official ROMs should include modems. When you flash custom ROMs, modem is left untouched.
SOME custom ROMs may have an option to (or force) modem flash, but this will be seamless so you wont have to do anything special.

Not really. The G900A (AT&T version) has a locked bootloader which means the kernel and bootloader cannot be changed. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. There are certain G900F (International version) ROMs that can run on the G900A, but it's still the G900A. For those ROMs you should go to the G900A threads to get more information and ask this question there to get better responses. This is the T-Mobile forum.
Sorry

Again, we need to know exactly what it is you want to do. Then we can advise. You have a G900T and it cannot be a G900F although it can do similar things. Exactly what are you trying to accomplish?

I have a T-Mobile S5 and am using on AT&T with Omega rom which is basically a G900F rom. But I still use the G900T's modem and boot loader. It works very well that way and is not very hard to do. If you go over to the G900F threads and read some of the ROM threads (such as Omega) it will explain how it's done.
Good Luck!

The way I understand it is that each variant of the S5 has specific bootloaders and modems. However, the ROMs can be used from different versions.
Check out this forum for more info on the international ROMs that are available: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5

There is lots of stuff at that link, and before I would flash another phone's software to my phone, I would do lots of reading. It's what I did before I did any flashing to any of my phones.
I don't believe you can use a BL and modem from a phone that IS NOT a 900T to a 900T. However, you can try it. I would do a full NAND backup using TWRP or CWM or something before I would try to use firmware from another mode.
I have a 900T3 - and flashing the 900T firmware caused a bootloop on my phone. However, flashing the 900T3 fixed it.
However, hopefully someone here - or on that other forum - may have more knowledge.
There should be no problem flashing just the ROM, but firmware is made up of a partition table, bootloader, modems and the ROM.

Just flashed AT&T PH1 on my replacement Verizon Note 7. All they changed was the battery. Device shipped with Verizon's PH1 firmware. Happy rooting!
EDIT:: DON'T UPDATE TO PHE OTA FIRMWARE OR ELSE YOU WILL LOSE ROOT CAPABILITY AND NOT BE ABLE TO DOWNGRADE TO PH1. ALL REPLACEMENT NOTE 7 ARE SHIPPED WITH PH1 (rootable) FIRMWARE STILL SO DON'T UPDATE.
I was not able to root ... tried 4 times.. was rooted with last Note 7. which method did you use? I get an error when flashing the Sprint firmware in odin.

its because along with the green battery, AT&T's update includes a new bootloader and checks that blocks Odin from downgrading the bootloader. in short, they patched the root method.

If you took the PHE firmware update you will not be able to flash any other carriers' PH1 firmware or root.

Thanks for the update. That reallys sucks.. The APH1 ROM was very nice and basically you can switch to any carrier you want.
This will kill some of the sales of Note 7. I hope Samsung is listening..

No. No one has uploaded AT&T PHE firmware yet unfortunately
Has anyone pulled the PHE software from another note 7 and tried to flash it to the AT&T Note7. Just wondering if it's still possible.
