I'd be interested to know as well.
They typically make them proprietary. I'd say no. Besides...ours isn't just a charger but a battery pack as well.
You can buy one on eBay, Search for "Gear S Cradle" or "Gear S Charger"

Lol , I'm thinking they meant JUST the cradle part and not the micro-usb wall charger like you are referring to??
Other cradles are wrong shape, and so will not work. Samsung has them for sale now on their website. I already have an extra one for work and gym now.

I would just match up the voltage and amperage from the original charger. Just about any micro usb would work, I even charge mine from the standard usb port on my pc if I have to.

but battery lifespan wouldn't be affected isn't it?
not that ive seen so far, I have a short cable coming off a kvm switch on my desk that I use occasionally, no issues with battery that I can see.
Bought a cheap chinese cradle and swap internal board and battery. Work like magic.

I just made a portable usb charger for my g1..it works just fine for road trips and to power it all you need is a 9v battery and a usb cord.
See it in Action Here
Tutorial here
Under the Hood.
A 5.1 zener doide
a 330ohm resistor
female usb port
9v battery connector

Mad creative, nvr thought of this b4, I might have 2 make 1
That is pretty slick. I think that I will work on making one with and Altoids case like some that I have seen
Dude, how many batteries you need to fully charge g1?
Mad creative, props.
cool idea. Try hooking to your phone and carry it through the airport.
lol i dont know about the airport lol....and probly 2 if its off. ive noticed when i have it on charge it only keeps it from die.ing but ive used it like twice
are you dropping the voltage at all to charge it? I dont think its a good idea to apply 9V straight to the usb plug of the phone, unless it has a really good voltage regulator. USB + and GND is only 5V of potential difference.

fwiw but this built around a 7805 might be a better idea - http://www.instructables.com/id/Portable-USB-Charger-Version-2.0/ or another one along the same lines:
http://www.stevediraddo.com/blog/index.php?entry=entry090409-172310
a 7805 would waste quite a bit of the power in the battery
This should work the same

True, mainly going for protection rather then replacement g1.. always open to suggestions of improvement though..
i regulated it with a 5.1 zener diode and a 330ohm resistor...so that brought the power down

Is this any true? I guess there was a reason why HTC devs put this, but I don't see any radical differences between the original charger and unoriginal ones...
Apparently it does charge it slower but if you use it, it will charge the battery like normal without doing any harm to the phone. Though it's best to use the oem charger.

I've got an HP 2.1 Ah adapter that I use with the DNA & does just fine. I think it might refer to the amount of amps being put out. I don't use any chargers less than 1 Ah.

Yes it is true, it was implemented with the software update. They used to simply check the data pins. Data pins shorted = fast charge (Current > .5 Amp), not shorted = slow charge (.5 Amp). This was done because the USB spec says devices can't have more than .5 Amps of current from a computer's USB ports. After the update they are checking something else though. I have several chargers that still charge fast but one dual charger rated at 2.1 amp that will now only charge slow. The charge rate won't be a problem if you're charging overnight but if you're trying to charge and use the phone at the same time you could potentially still be draining the battery but at a slower rate. The best example of this I can think of is someone like me who uses the phone in the car to stream music and navigate with GPS and screen turned on. Some of the custom kernels will override the charge current limit. This is no problem if the charger can handle it but is a potential hazard to your computer's USB ports.
I buy from eBay this stock looking travel charger... From the back they seem the same but the one I bought don't charge my phone like the one that came with the phone? Also the one I buy came for UK plug and im using a converter from UK plug to EU or GR Im not sure if the rest of the Europe uses the same plugs..
Is the 2nd charger fake or it has something to do with the converter?

2nd pic ebay charger
Sent from my LG-D855 using Tapatalk
to me it looks like a fake...
but just talk to the seller on ebay - maybe you can get your money back
The Charger on the bottom doesn't offer the same amount of power as the stock charger (the one on the top). The Stock Charger offers 1.8 Amps, and the one on the bottom only has 1 Amp (at least from what I can make out in the picture, I'd need a clearer shot of the one on the bottom to be absolutely sure) so the second one will most likely take almost twice as long to charge your phone.
the original output is the same so, by aspect could not be fake, i belive is original, i compare it to my charger and looks like the same, only difference is the language of the words in the charger, by that you dont know!
My original charger of G3 say this:
model: MCS-04ER
input: 100v/240v 0.3amp
output: 5.0v 1.8amp
made in china by SUNLIN (look, is made in china but is the original that come on the box of my G3!)
and the simbols/draw's on mine looks like the first image of this thread...only the model number is different!
i belive is original!!!!

If I use any ohter charger brand on my phone (for example, Samsung) with an output of 5V and 2A, will it work fine with our LG G3?
Yes. Phones these days have smarts in them and won't accept more power than they need to charge so there is no risk of using a charger that's "too powerful"

Are you using different usb cables with this chargers? Try out both using same cable and tell us how it works. USB cable is more important then you think. If you are using low quality cable it could cause charging issues.

Hi everyone
After I've had to exchange my first two Mate 10 Pros within two days because of a faulty USB C connector (they wouldn't charge or keep a USB or headset connection), I've now been using the third one for 5 or 6 weeks.
Now, suddenly the phone won't really charge when plugged in over night, although it says charging.
I've made a screenshot of that, where you can see that it thinks it's charging, but is obviously not.
I've gone through all the apps, nothing has been keeping the phone awake, so it must be some system process, I guess.
In that case I was using a USB C Dock, so non OEM, but that has been working for weeks, and now it struggles.
As soon as I reconnect, it does start charging again.
Also, the phone won't accept any cable but the stock Huawei for supercharging .
Do you guys have similar experience?
This is the most expensive phone I ever had, and I'm seriously disappointed by how difficult and picky it is about charging...

Have you tried using the Huawei charger and cable? Do you still experience the same "not quite managing to charge" issues with them? There are plenty of sub-par cables and accessories available; I've in the past had many issues with el-cheapo MicroUSB cables.
As for fussiness, Huawei's SuperCharge is no more or less fussy than Qualcomm's QuickCharge - if the cable isn't designed for it, it won't switch into that mode. This doesn't necessarily mean that you have to use the original cable - just that you need to use a cable of decent quality (i.e., not poverty-grade speaker wire with USB connectors on the ends).
In order to get supercharge feature, you do need to use the original cable. Or at least a cable that support 5V charging ( oneplus does the same thing with their amazing Dash Charge ). That cable is different from other cables, so thats why it doesn`t accept any other normal cables. Are you using a case on your phone which blocks the type-c to not stick very well in the phone`s usb-c ? It happened to me with a random usb-c cable at work while trying to copy data from my phone on pc, and the original case that I got in the phone`s box, was blocking the usb-c to fit into the phone which resulted in phone being disconnected from the pc multiple times

there is my link or search like wireless s7 charger XD
Get some charger right now ! have a fun with charging !
Hello! I also got a wireless charger same as yours, from the guy I bought my S7. What really is annoying me is that the phone gets too hot while charging and I'm not sure that is very good for battery. Also it charges slower than cable charger, so I'd abandoned it in a box.

I understand completely. I opted to spend a little more and get one that not only stands the phone up but, will charge in portrait or landscape and keep it cooler while charging with a built-in fan that comes on while charging. This could be your answer too ..if you're still interested in wireless charging for you S7 or similar phone. Right now, Amazon has it for $19.99 usd (2 Feb 2020).
It's called the "VersionTECH Qi Wireless Charger" You will use the power brick that came with your phone to power it.
You'll have to search for the title above at Amazon since I'm limited from adding the link currently..
I've been very pleased with it for several months now. :good:
Anyway, hope that helps ... Let us know.
