Hello developers, I request you to please port Samsung Galaxy S5 lollipop rom to our Samsung Galaxy Alpha ( Mine is G850Y). It will be very excited if anyone do this.

Correct me if i am wrong, but as far as I know there is no android 5.0 of 5.0.1. for exynos version of S5 so it would be as difficult to port lollipop from snapdragon variant as it would be from any other S801 device.

Or is there any chance for custom lollipop rom for Alpha before they wake up??

Little, because CM12 is not even ready yet and CM is usually the first custom ROM to be ported to devices. But who knows, time will show.... :fingers-crossed:

your right 900F is SnapD & get android5,900H is Exynos & still dont get lilipop yet

Uhm. My country have a team, they port cyanogenmod 12 and fix bug for all drivers at price about 150-200 USD . if everyone agree, i will try to ask them try port s5 lopilop on galaxy alpha (Mine is G-850L). We donate together.

I don't think that porting Galaxy s5 stock lolipop from samsung is a good idea.. It's going to be very hard, maybe even impossible.
I would first try to port cyanogenmod 11... This phone has so much potential, but with stock rom from samsung this phone is nothing.

That's all fake. No hope from samsung for lollipop ota.and for porting lollipop i tried alot asked for dev help no one helped me.it is impossible until kernel of s4 is ported to s3 anyway.

We need to wait for the Note 2 Official Update to lollipop , because Note2 and S3 I9300 have the same chipset . When Note 2 Will get 5.0 Lollipop then we will get PORTED ROM with S5/S6 Apps.

Plus when note 2 lollipop drops along with its kernel sources our AOSP roms will also get much consistent .!!
So don't expect and to be honest I don't want samsung to give 5.0 because it will be heavily bloated and slow... its better to stick to AOSPs like ARCHI DROID which is so much better than the standard cyanogen mod , and the one that @JustArchi will release this time will be based on 5.1 and will have much deeper optimizations than any other rom.. So that in everyway Is a better choice ..
Samsung is one of the major OEMs which led to android fragmentation , so don't expect them to give a 2012 phone android 5.0 even though it can handle it pretty good but then again its touchwiz , which ruins everything .
That depend's on the user preferinces . I hate AOSP , i want a samsung phone not a htc !

Hi, I am G850Y user from Taiwan. My device stay at 4.4.4 for a long time and still have no update news now.
Then I come to XDA and search some lollipop rom, but unfortunately all of them are not for G850Y.
The rom of SM-G850F Galaxy Alpha OzcanRom attracts me the most.
So I try to replace the boot.img (kernel) from Australia version and the modem.img from my original version.
(If it is not allowed, please let me know)
Finally, I got a very smooth lollipop system and I think it is error-free.
I think you can try this way to make you own G850Y rom.

Yes, I did it.
It is easy to do by using Winrar, just replace the image which you want.
Lol just sell it its garbage everyone here regrets buying it
Next time do more research before buying a phone

The only ROM for G850Y: 'ResurrectionRemix' hasn't been updated since July 2015 (current version is 5.5.0), while for every other version, it is updated almost every month.. not to mention 'ResurrectionRemix M' also released for them!
Disappointed on buying the G850Y.
Just change the model number to SM-G850F and you can get a lot of ROMs. Just go to file manager, build.prop.
i tried to Download Albe95 ASTRA Note 5 PORT V2.5 but didn't work. I need some help with a compatible rom for my phone like that if you can and i really enjoy xda.Thanks for help anyway. Now on my device i ahve CyanogenMod 13 by nightly and i want a samsung custom rom with android 5+.

Hi I am a Galaxy s3 user who installs custom roms to improve my device. I have installed many TouchWiz and pure stock roms for my device and i have liked TouchWiz roms. But i want a Full lollipop TW rom for my device. But I dont see any rom that sufices my wants. That is why i am asking skill full developers to port/make a full Lollipop TW rom. I have a idea and i dont know if it will work. Why dont we port the firmware of the Galaxy J2 to our S3. The reason i said that because they are both quite similar. The screen of the S3 is better than that of the J2, the processor is similar/better, and most of the S3s specs is better or similar to the J2. Or can someone port the Motion rom from the s3 Neo to the intl ver of the S3. I cant port roms because i dont know how to that is why i am asking great developers to help us.

Developer @forkbomb444 is working on the kernel for s3.

So about the S3 i9300 I read some where that Oreo 8.0 would not wok on this phone because the way the boot loader was made/written it does not support Oreo's Script what so ever.. Really Ever... Their's something that was written in Oreo that our phone will never ever see. Do some research online you'll find about what I'm talking about.. With that, The S3 is still the best Sounding Audio Device ever made on ARM!

My intention is to make announcements that rom is working and phone is fast and responsive. Rom name suggests that is still beta. Thanks for the efforts. Great job
