Hello, as stated I just got the azpen. I rooted it and it worked fine. Then left it for a while and it would not connect to the google play store. I tried reseting the cache and such and restarts. Couldnt get it to work. So since i just got it I reset it to factory settings. It still will not connect. What can i do?

Hello guys!
I ran into a problem that bugs me for already 2 days. Yesterday my girlfriend's phone (S3) received an update. She was already on 4.3 so I do not know what the update was for. What happen after the update was downloaded and installed was that she couldn't access internet using wifi anymore. Mobile data seems to work, but wifi doesn't.
I told her to try the following but nothing changed:
1.Restart the phone.
2.Forget the network and reconnect.
3.Download "Wifi fixer" (when she did this she told me she accessed google...but then nothing worked anymore)
It is weird because she can access 192.169.0.1.
She also tried to connect to another wifi and she told me same thing happend so I assume is something about the phone.
This problem really starts to bug me a lot because I tried to search for a sollution but I found nothing that could fix the problem.
I am waiting for your suggestions.
Have a nice day,
Ilie Mihai
Usual steps to try: clear cache in recovery, factory reset, flash firmware with odin.

Could you, please, guide me on how to clear the cache in recovery before I do anything else?
Thanks for your reply,
Ilie Mihai
UPDATE: Okay, I figured it out how to enter in recovery mode...I'll try that and I'll let you know if it worked.
By the way...I forgot to mention. Factory reset is not quite possible at the moment since her computer is away for some repairs and she cannot access one for a while.
I am still waiting for more suggestions.
Thank you!

Do you get an IP, DNS and default route? Does ping or any other service work?
Does she maybe use a firewall?
There are many things to try out before simply resetting the phone.

Here's my problem. I noticed yesterday that my wifi toggle became orange. Not weird cause it happens sometimes. The weird thing is that I couln't enter the play store anymore. I deceided to do a cache wipe, which didn't work. I did then a factory reset, which didn't work either. I reinstalled CM aaaand.... didn't work.
Tried also to change time and the youtube trick, but didn't help.
Can anyone help me out?
I have a Sony Z3 dual sim (D6633) running stock KitKat, rooted. I am posting here, and not in Sony's forum, as I understand this is a generic issue which can happen to any phone, and is not Z3-specific.
I cannot download anything from the play store; the screen is always stuck at 'download pending'. I had this this morning, and deleted all data (settings -> app for google play services, google play, download manager, and download media). It worked this morning, but now I have the same problem and redoing those steps doesn't help. I do have internet access and have tried connected to 4G and to two separate wifi networks.
I did a factory reset of the phone just yesterday because of this issue + because some process was stuck in a loop and overheated my phone. I wouldn't want to reset the phone every day!
Any suggestions? What causes this and why?
Thanks!
PS Incidentally, this proves we don't need a new smartphone every 6 months - we just need smartphones which work and are stable. But this is not what the industry wants, of course.
Solution kinda....
The issue came across me as well i just installed a custom ROM and the restoring backup was taking place. Google play is reinstalling the apps when suddenly all apps stops at download pending. Well the only solution i found was to factory reset my phone (by facotry reseting i mean wiping all data cache ... EXCEPT for system) then reflashing gapps which worked fine for me. Hope this helps
Cant update or download any app.
Did all the troubleshooting suggested by google play support. Havent found any working solution yet.
Did you try a factory reset?

No, but as I see already, many people complain about that.
Sometimes that is the reason. At least you can try clean cache.

Just put fone into full battery saving mode...then put it back into normal operational mode ...that should sort it.I tried all of the normal fixes..none worked except the above..the problem never came back after.

Actually I had fixed that, somehow by removing all data from Google play services, Google play store, download manager, and deleting my Google account, the restarting phone, adding back Google account and then it was working. But now after I put my phone on max lover saver, and when I got back home - to normal mode.. can't download any app again...
Tried the old fix that worked before and it's not working anymore...
I've had the same problem. I just simply went to settings>apps>Google Play Store>Uninstall, then restarted my phone. It took a little bit, but Google Play Store downloaded itself again, and then I had 30 or so apps update just fine afterwards.
