I have a Vivo Xplay 3s where location services aren't working no matter what I try.
I can only get position with gps but nothing via wifi or mobile network.
My Google play services and maps are up to date so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi, is there any way to allow only Google maps to use my location, without other google apps gets allowed to use it anytime? I want to use gps on maps, but seems like location services and other google apps using gps drains my battery. I also have a rooted S3, with AOKP running.
Hi
I do have a problem with Google play's Location.Since I'm in Us ,regardless of changes in location with my Gmail account it still works in Turkish...I changed the gmail account it works fine....Unfortunately all my stuff is on the previous Gmail account.
How do I have to change the location for Google play ?How do I have to change it into U.S?
Allow Google access to location services
Did you allow Google access to location services?
Whenever I travel overseas my homepage which is Google.co.xx
changes to the local country, and the play market get localized as well.
For example I don't have play books in my country but I do get it in the market in certain countries overseas.
It is all done automatically by Google without any specific action on my part, not on gmail or in play store.
I believe its all due to Google access to location services?

Use app called disable services from play store.
And turn off Google services
Press thanx if i helped you in anyway...
This would break google services right? So no more sync gmail and such?
No I m using it for a very long time and it doesn't affect any functionality for Gmail or play store.
Don't know about Google now.
If you use that just check after you disable a particular service.
Don't disable network location and fused location service they are needed for maps to work.

Click to collapse
Disabling a critical service can have negative impact. I would recommend Greenify donation package for this since it only hibernates the service and it can start when needed. You will need xposed for Greenify's experimental feature to work

I don't know if this is related but I tried that app to disable services and disabled all the services in google play services.
Gmail and others didn't work, so I enabled them again just like it was before, but now I'm getting a "can't sync contacts" problem in the google account sync panel in preferences...
Seems only contacts is having problems when syncing. Everything else syncs perfectly.
What should I do?
I tried deleting my google account and then adding it again, but no luck.
Guys is it possible to port Google WiFi assistant to our device,
As far as I know most of the broadband providers use Google caching therefore users get high-speeds on Google services (drive, YouTube, search, etc) if Google is providing VPN service through Google WiFi assistant then we can boost the overall speed.
