[MOD][Xposed][4.4+] Exchange bypass for samsung - Xposed Framework Modules

Bypass Exchange for samsung galaxy s5 OS:4.4.2. If you have already try the other two and fail, you can have a try
I haven't test this module on other phones yet, just write it for my own Samsung s5 4.4.2 and it works.
Known bug:
Need to click the notification "update ur security setting" once per boot, don't have time to fix it.

Tried the LP (not Samsung) version on my Oneplus One running Blisspop. Some LP xposed modules work, but not this one. After install and activation-reboot when I set up my work exchange email I still have to activate the security policy to get account set up.

Note3 N9005 works!
Hi
Just a small feedback:
Works on Note3. Stock 4.4.2 (GNG1)
Thanks for development.
Other two bypass xposed module not working but this works!
Some problems:
-First time to run Mail app it gives a warning message window. Dissmiss the warning message window.
-The mail list update not works when mail app first run. - Never mind run it again.
I suggest to use "NotifyClean" Xposed module to hide the "Security settings... notification!
Notifyclean only removes notification from notification area, not the mail app message window!
Best Regards,
Robert

Didn't work when setting up the outlook app for my exchange account....

small feedback
I confirm too, it works on Note3 4.4.2 GNG1, br

What's exchange service and what does bypassing it mean? I searched on Google and nothing comes up.

Allows someone that this works for to get their company email, & notifications and such without having to meet the security policies the administrator has set. Which can even include what kind of apps you use and if your phone is rooted or not. If this allows them to get their corporate mail, calendar, task, and office notifications to keep their jobs and they can have a rooted phone using any of the apps that they usually would on their regular device without having a company dedicated phone that's completely boring!!!

Flashable Galaxy Tab Email app/Bionix Frost and Simply Galaxy/Sweet Honey/Bi-Winning

PLEASE READ THE OP! YOU MAY NOT THINK SO, BUT THERE IS INFORMATION HERE THAT MAY SAVE YOU TIME AND HEADACHES!
This is a flashable zip of the Galaxy Tab email app for 2.2.1 Roms. It does not work properly with exchange in 2.2 Roms, so please do not use if you are on a 2.2 Rom and need to use exchange. If you do not use exchange and are on a 2.2 or 2.2.1 Rom, it will work fine!
HISTORY: This app was ported to the Vibrant last year and was modded by XDA member, 'smoothone' who fixed the resolution for the Vibrant. Before that, the app was too large for the lower resolution Vibrant screen. It had many problems for exchange users which were only resolved when Froyo 2.2.1 was released. This app has extraordinary functionality, including multi-delete and support for all versions of exchange. It doesn't exactly support 'push' for corporate exchange accounts, but you can set it to sync on an interval of five minutes.
It has been tested and reported working perfectly in both Bionix Frost, Simply Galaxy/Sweet Honey, and Bi-Winning all 2.2.1 Roms. If you encounter any problems, please be clear in describing what exactly is going wrong. Screenshots are in the second and third posts below.

Thanks to krad42 we now have a version with security removed! He can explain it better than me.
I was sick of using pin mode to unlock my phone every time I locked it. Keep in mind there is a purpose of the security tools, prevent unauthorized access and remote wipe incase your phone gets lost. I am actually using delay lock app from market with this setup so that the phone will prompt for pin after a set period of time, but not every time I close out. Go ahead and make a flashable if you would like, hopefully it will be useful for others. Be safe, follow krad's advice and use the 'DelayedLock' app from the Market!

Seems like exchange issues are dependant on the version of the exchange server that someone is synching with. I had all kinds of issues when my job had exchange 2007. Now they are running 2010 and I have not had any issues with stock or tab versions.

Sorry it took me so long to reply, but I can't connect in Firefox for some reason today either on Windows or Ubuntu and IE isn't working so fast either although it is working. Anyway, sad to say I don't know of a Tab version with the security disabled. There were two tools able to do that made for use with HTC phones. Other devs modded those applications and got it working for other devices. Problem was no one managed to do it for the Galaxy Tab version that I know of. It was about that time that Froyo 2.2.1 was released and all efforts seemed to die out. I did try to contact smoothone and let him know there was a tool to remove security, but he had received a ban from XDA and was unreachable. Another user posted that he was leaving xda after his ban. If you have the ablility, I can put you in touch with those threads tonight if you want to take a crack at modding it for the Tab version.
Edit: I'll try looking into it tomorrow also, but I can make no promises of success.

I don't know where you are on this, but I think I've found something else you could use to solve the exchange problems with the Galaxy Tab once and for all. [APP] **Updated 12/27/2010** Email.apk - Gingerbread src code w/o Exchange security I guess the idea is to remove the ability of the app the look for a security code. Sorry I missed you post earlier. I used to get that error message when connected to wifi on my yahoo account. I just checked, and I don't get it anymore. (Strange) I would try deleting your yahoo account on the phone and going to menu>setting>applications>manage applications>all tab> scroll down to account and sync settings (actually it's third in the list on my phone) tap that and delete any cache and data (if there is any). Then scroll down to the email app and delete cache and data for that (there definitely should be some). Then reboot and reset your yahoo account. Let me know if that works.
Edit: Sorry I forgot all about Imap! Something changed when setting up yahoo in android from my last rom to this one. I had the instructions in my file the whole time. You certainly are fast! You know, I pm'd several devs about doing what you did today and never got a reply. Thank you so very much! I have a question though: Since you had no problems with the original or stock versions with exchange 2010 why did you want a version minus the security feature? And, do you mind if I place you .apk in a flashable zip and offer it to 2.2 users for testing (I'll make sure to credit you). Security wasn't the only problem with the Tab email unfortunately. I'd like to get some feedback from exchange users still on 2.2 Roms.

Possible Concern for Exchange ActiveSync users

Hey everyone, this thread is both to let everyone know of a possible issue in Android M and to poll the community to see if this issue is isolated or if we will all be seeing it. First a bit of background on how the security policies work in Exchange ActiveSync as I understand it:
- When you assign an Exchange policy for ActiveSync devices you can basically tell it to require a password or not, encryption, etc. From there the OS of the device determines what that means. For example in Android if you are set to require a password it disables Pattern, Swipe and Face Unlock as choices for securing your phone. It assigns each a security level something like: Swipe = Not secure, Pattern = Weak security, Face Unlock = Medium Security (those are just examples.... I'm not saying thats what they are actually are) and the OS decides what level of security is acceptable when the password requirement is set. It also disables features like Smart Lock for trusted locations/bluetooth devices
As one of the admins of my own network I long ago set my policy to NOT require a password but I still do configure and use a PIN to secure my phone. The reason I set my device to not require a password was solely for the Smart Lock feature.
So the other day I flashed a 6.0 ROM on my Nexus 4 (no factory images available obviously). So I joined my phone to my Exchange server before I had setup any security and shockingly it said that it required I have a PIN. I double-checked my policy on the server and I am most definitely set to not require a password still. So now even with that policy set I am not able to use my phone without a PIN and am not able to use the Smart Lock feature and my fear is that this will also include not being able to unlock my phone with the fingerprint sensor (ouch!)
I'm sure many of you are thinking exactly what I did and that it was an issue with the ROM since it was a port. So with that in mind I setup my Exchange account on my freshly factory imaged Nexus 9 tablet and the exact same issue happens with it.
So either Google jacked up the security settings when connecting an Exchange account or there is a bug that causes the requirement of a PIN even if your policy is set not to.
Anyone else running Android 6.0 connected to an Exchange server that previously did not require a password and now does? One of the things I was most looking forward to was being able to secure my phone using my fingerprint instead of a PIN so this is a big bummer for me
If I am not mistaken, requiring a PIN is the policy of android pay, which comes default with Marshmallow, and is also a device manager. This makes sense, because Google wouldn't want someone draining your bank account in addition to stealing your phone.

If I dont join my Exchange server I can set any type of security I want so its not related to that
Wow, that's pretty upsetting. I too run my own Exchange Server. I always use PIN but I like the Smart Lock feature. And of course I had expected to use the fingerprint sensor. I wonder if rooting and using a combination of Tasker and the Secure Settings plug-in would allow you to get around it.
I currently have an HTC M8 and 6.0 is supposed to be out for it before the end of the month. I guess I'll load that and see how it works.
My Nexus 6 had been on M since the previews. I have a pin and I use smartlock with my moto 360. It's mostly unlocked and exchange works fine. My servers are set to require passwords and everyone at work has iphones with finger print and they work with that also.

What version of Exchange? We are running the latest 2013. My Smart Lock menu is completely greyed out and says "Disabled by administrator"

Nope you are understanding. I flashed 6.0 then activated my phone on my Exchange server and now it says my Smart Lock is disabled by administrator despite my policy not even requiring a password.... very odd
I use mobimail through the OWA instead of going through the Exchange Server Active Sync
I am using Nine as my exchange email client, that allows me to set a Pin on the email itself instead of needing it on the phone. Our company requires a PIN or a Password for mobile usage.
I'm using touchdown and a hosted exchange, no phone pin, nexus 5, Android 6.0 and no issues
I have used Nine before. It's not bad. Touchdown (the last time I used it) was complete garbage.
Anyone using the Gmail app that can still use smart lock in M?
I use touchdown so it's independent of my OS therefore i can set it only on the app.

I must admit it's got worse since symantec bought it..... but i paid for it when it was cheap and it still works so may as well make use of it.
can you post the exchange server-side security settings here? i wouldn't be surprised if google did something to "up" the security of their exchange apk. also - testing with a third party app would be a valid test as well. remove all exchange accounts from your device, confirm your basic security is re-enabled and then try an app (like nine). if the app requires security configuration, it's server-based.

Just an update to this....
I went ahead and removed my Exchange account and immediately was able to access those other features that were previously greyed out. I then installed Nine and setup my account there and it allows me to use it without any security at all. Very odd
EDIT: Wow... Nine has improved! I might go this route anyway. I also like having my work account in a separate app as there has been a few times when I've sent a work email from my gmail account
Ok and not only does Nine have a Dark theme but it has a "True Black" option which I'm guessing was made specifically for AMOLED.... too good not to use!

I use Nine as well, love it.
My company requires a pin or password, but I'm also able to use a pattern, which is much better than a pin or password for ease of use. Your fingerprint scanner on the new Nexus will be an option in addition to pin or password. No worries, it will all work.

[MOD][XPOSED][5.0+] Bypass Exchange Policies (Outlook & Gmail)

Bypass Exchange Policies
Bypass Exchange security policies for Microsoft Outlook and Gmail.
This Xposed module will attempt to bypass the security policies that e-mail applications might want to enforce when you add new Exchange accounts. Currently only Microsoft Outlook and Gmail for devices running Lollipop and above are supported. Some applications - like Gmail - apply obfuscation (with a tool like ProGuard) to prevent tampering with the code. It's possible that this module stops working for future Gmail updates if classes and/or class members receive new random names compared to the previous version. Feel free to submit pull requests fixing bugs or version incompatibilities or adding support for new applications.
Download
Please refer to the GitHub releases page to download the Xposed module until the module is not made available in the Xposed Repository.

As I suspected, since Gmail is obfuscated with ProGuard, new versions generate new random names for class names/members and the Xposed hooks fail because it can't find the proper methods.
I'm afraid it won't be possible to have an Xposed module that works consistently for Gmail. It would need to be updated every time a new version is released and that's not feasible for me, sorry.
I've made the code open-source for lots of reasons and one of those is so that people can submit pull requests to fix problems like this. I currently don't have the time to look into this, maybe someone else might take a look. In the mean time here's what you can try if you want:
Remove your Exchange accounts.
Downgrade to 6.5-1.123769152.release.
Enable the module (don't forget to reboot).
Configure your Exchange account.

Ok, I just took a quick look to the latest Gmail version, compared both applications decompiled source and only found a single difference of relevance.
That difference was in the dialog popup that appears when setting up an account with Exchange policies. If that is really the only difference, when you get that dialog, just press "OK" to "accept" the dialog and continue with the account process creation. After this step, can you finish the setup configuration without being asked to setup a device administrator or it still doesn't work?

Make sure you have the latest version installed for the app you use (check http://www.apkmirror.com and download new version if necessary).
For this module to work, you'll need to remove your Exchange account from the e-mail client (check the settings, accounts and device admins and make sure everything related to that account is removed) and then re-add it with the module activated. Don't forget to reboot your phone after enabling the module in Xposed Installer.
If this didn't help, please be more specific. Detail exactly what you are trying to do, post screenshots or record a short video demonstrating the issue.

For this module to work, you'll need to remove your Exchange account from the e-mail client (check the settings, accounts and device admins and make sure everything related to that account is removed) and then re-add it with the module activated. Don't forget to reboot your phone after enabling the module in Xposed Installer.

I attempted to do this, but I didn't ensure that Smart Lock was allowed after removing the account and re-adding it, so I'll try again, including this step, and report back.
Thanks again for your time,

Currently, both. I use the Outlook app to view/reply to my work emails, and I use the Gmail (connected to the same account) in order to get my meetings to show up in my Google Calendar (if this is possible - I can't find the setting - to do this only using the Outlook app, I'm all ears).
I don't think it's possible, that's a limitation on the Outlook app. A really frustrating one.
Currently running Outlook Version: 2.1.33 (Current per http://www.apkmirror.com/?s=outlook&post_type=app_release&searchtype=apk)

I wasn't it either, just update the app manually and use v1.0.1 of the module, should work

All is working. Thanks!
Glad I could help.
Hi, Nuzgulled, v1.0.1 running with Outlook Version: 2.1.33 worked. Thanks for the great work!
Just want to check if you will extend the support to Email app, I'm using Email version 12.0.A.0.9, which should be AOSP compatible.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Not sure what e-mail app is that... Point me to the .apk on APK Mirror please. However, I don't really have time to work on this right now, but pull requests are welcome
Hey,
Works great with Outlook.
Any chance for Nine support?

I thought Nine had a built in option to bypass Exchange security, but it must not work if so. Have you tried this?

It doesn't work, I can't open any of the databases (it just says that any file I select there "isn't a databse").

US998 LG email client

Before anyone makes any suggestions to use some other random email client the answer is, I cannot
My company is only set up to use the LG, Samsung, HTC and touchdown email clients. Anything else costs money to service and they arent going to provide those services when they give you the option to use a company owned iPhone.
So, I need to find a way to make my V30 use the LG email app. I have installed the APK and it doesn't work. I dont know what else I might need to get it go work.
Its asking for phone permissions in the app, but under permissions phone isnt an option.

wasn't the email app already installed on v30 out of the box?
have you disabled any packages or rooted?

I'm curious as to what app you installed. I was surprised my V30+ didn't come with a mail app.
And I didn't find any LG specific mail app. Did your company provide it?
Also surprised you can't use the Google mail app.
As for your permissions, maybe look under General>Accounts & Sync?
The unlocked versions of the LG Phones (I'm finding posts dating back to G3) dont come with the email app.
The app I downloaded was from APK Mirror and it is marked as thr LG app.
Nothing but the email apps I mentioned will work with our servers. Its just the way they have Airwatch servers configured here. Each additional app requires a license to use. Touchdown is crap and now going out of support, so I have to do something before June.
General Accounts and sync doesnt do anything in this regards. It just links an account to an app. In this case thats not an option, since the app wont let me do anything.
My Airwatch profile executes and creates the config, but when it passes me to the app to provide my credentials it fails with this permissions error.
US998 does not come with stock email app.
I purchased Nine. it works great.
This is not a solution tho..

When you go to Apps click on the 3 dots in upper right corner and choose configure apps. Click on App permissions at the top and scoll down to Phone.
Is you LG Email app in that list?
Update: I downloaded the latest version from APK Mirror and had the same problems you are reporting. I unistalled it and dowloaded the version 6.70.35. This version works normally on my V30+.
Hope this helps.
The 6.70.35 version said it appears to be corrupt. Can you send me a copy of it?
The app thing you mention doesn't work either. Its just not in there.
Never mind. It installed this time.
It doesnt give me the phone permissions error, but doeant give me my email and crashes conatantly. I also cant add my hotmail there either. Its very strange.
Well.. Thats that. I am processing the return and ordered a mint condition used verizon model. Sucks, but need work email and calendar access.
Thanks for the replies. I spent all last night working on it to no avail.

How To Guide More than 5 App Notifications

Little Trick!
In order to receive more notifications than the 5 you set yourself, you have the option of loading the Blackberry Hub+ and the associated services from the PlayStore. You can manage many accounts there. works perfectlyfor me!

Isn't it just a notification 'watcher'? Those apps would still need to show notifications to appear in the Blackberry Hub+ inbox???

No, the hub accesses the accounts directly, not the system.
Is like your mail program that accesses your mail account.
Look on Screenshot, it is Not the Gmail icon at the top.
I can't see a way to configure WhatsApp for example - surely it requires me to approve access or hook it up somehow?
I must look and test it, the N is not my daily driver.
WA is at the time on iPhone.....
Most of the chat apps (WhatsApp, Line...) Have auto-start set by default (without being one of the 5 custom auto-start apps), and therefore notifications will show, and be 'captured' by the Blackberry Hub. But for example, I just added Google Chat, which DOESN'T have auto-start set, and it doesn't show in Blackberry Hub, because there are no notifications...
I'm not sure I like the solution or workaround of yet another app to deal with notifications that should be a standard solution, aka OS and base UI API, from Google AndroidOS itself.
I'm fully aware of BlackBerry and its history, yet how up to date is this BlackBerry Hub and what's the official word from BlackBerry update future updates? If nothing official this would be a temporary solution.
Is Oppo taking user feedback on all channels (aka official support forums, support email/phone, twitter, etc)? They already have a global 'Ambassador' program to help launch and sales of the Find N2 Flip.

CN ROM have limitations because Chinese app developers are garbage that stuffs apps full of offer notifications auto start and push for more monetization.. if u seen the china app market, it's 90% junk apps there that ask for every single permission possible to harvest ur data and sell openly to the big firms..
I tried this on my Find N2 (fold) no luck in getting other apps configured to receive notifications - the only one I could get to work was GMAIL..
Anyone else have any luck in getting other apps working using the Blackberry HUB such as Facebook etc?
Cheers FROSTY
