Just wondering if anyone here is having issues on the latest 4.4.2 stock image with reboots?
I originally got my Venue, it seemed to work ok. I loaded up just basic things (Apex loader, clash of clans) etc.
I find when looking at youtube videos then going into clash of clans either with a fresh load or switching back to the background app the tablet will goto the Dell initial startup screen, I need to wait for the tablet to fully bootup fresh again before I can carry on using it. This happened mostly with clash of clans, but then started happening when exiting other apps (youtube to browser sessions).
I've since installed 4.3 stock but I miss immersive mode, I've tried an app that auto hides the soft key buttons and enters full screen mode but it's just not the same.
Wondering if anyone has had similar issues and worked around them while staying on 4.4.2 ?

Hey,
i was trying to run the game "Reckless Getaway"
but i'm having problems:
First of all on the first start it's trying to download the game data,
If i'm not keeping the screen on (just keep on touching the screen) it will exit and i need to run it again.
Then, After i downloaded the files when i'm trying to play it,
after something like 2-3 minutes it's crashing (No message or anything like that, just suddenly going to the phone's main screen.)
Anyone experienced something like it?
I got galaxy S2, rooted, no rom...
Considering the problems with so many other games, I'd suggest trying to play with sound effects disabled and see if the crashing stops.
Nope, Still crashes even without sounds...
No one has experienced the same problem?
The comments on the android market suggest you're not alone experiencing crashes, their twitter feed seems to acknowledge problems too.
The most appropriate place for support would be their website though: http://www.polarbit.com/support/
finished the game without any problem here, maybe just one or two crashes in hours of gaming. I'm on Revolution 2.6 with nimphetamine 2.1.3.
anyway, just download aLogcat and send a log of the crash to developers.
Hi All,
I have 2x Galaxy S3's, a work one and my own one, my personal one is rooted (to allow titanium backup to do it's thing), it also has ClockworkMod running on it. It's got the stock rom still.
I'm an android developer day to do, and now when developing my app, if I'm using my work phone and it crashes on the phone it says Your App has crashed, click okay to force close.
However, on my rooted phone it doesn't do that, it just crashes and I have to restart the phone just stays with the notification top bar still there and working (clock changes and can see wifi sending/receiving) . But i can't close the app, can't use the home button etc
Does anyone know the solution to this? It's quite infuriating at times.
youtube link + ?v=3mawem-refw here's a video of it happening
When i open pretty much any app, it either crashes or continues to function properly EXCEPT when it needs a keyboard. For example Chrome, I try to type in a web address and then it just sits there waiting for the keyboard to open, before crashing. This is also happening with games, Such as Clash Of Clans, which crash upon loading.
I'm not running any 3rd Party Launchers/Keyboard, completely stock HTC Sense.
I was running Themer but uninstalled it about 2 weeks ago
I was running SwiftKey (legit) when this started, I turned it off, and has done nothing, apps still crash etc.

Is your phone rooted? This happened to my friend (keyboard wasnt working, apps crashing) because he flashed the wrong gapps into CM 10.2, but i know you said it is completely stock sense. If you didnt root or flash an incorrect gapp, I would factory reset. If you do, BACKUP first. There might be a better solution than my kind of last resort deal, but it shouldn't hurt.
I remember about a year ago, Chrome was updated with support for playing media even if Chrome was in the background or the phone had its screen off. I tried using it today for the first time in a while, and that feature doesn't seem to be working for me anymore. Anyone know if it was taken out of Chrome? Are you having a similar issue? Any suggestions/fixes?
On a Nexus 5 stock, rooted, xposed BTW.
I'm gonna throw a curve ball out there and explain a problem I have always had with the Asus Padfone X Mini. Every time I play Clash of Clans, addicting game btw...I attempt to use my Asus keyboard and it disappears after it pops up for a second. Other times I can write a couple sentences before it disappears, almost like it is crashing due to insufficient memory. However, it will pop back up after 10 seconds or so. I tried other virtual keyboards same results. I went into 3C Tools and gave the Asus keyboard high priority and problem persists. I've also had problems with Contacts not responding when playing Clash of Clans. I have cleaned my phone the best I can from bloatware and any apps that run in the background that take more then their fair share of resources. Still, problem persists. It only happens in Clash of Clans though. However, my wife plays it too with her SGS4 and has no problems. I play it on my rooted Cyanogen rom Nook Tablet and no problems. BTW, this even happened before root. I thought it was just insufficient memory problems and it was what it was until I could get root and remove all the crap. But still, it seems better but the problem still happens. Would anyone be willing to download Clash of Clans on their padfone X mini, try typing for a couple minutes and see if it happens to them? Maybe some advise?
Thanks!
I installed the game just now and used the Google keyboard instead of the included Asus one and had no problems. Maybe you could switch to that?

Thanks for your reply price0331. I ended up just resetting the OS and applying root again. No problems so far with the keyboard and the built-in contacts app does not crash anymore. Something was just causing problems. I almost want to say changing the governor to anything other then the default which is "interactive" will cause random crashes, reboots and freezing because even after resetting the phone I switched back to using ondemand and the phone would reboot and freeze. So I switched back over to interactive and no problems.

Problem came back. It would seem it has to do with the limited amount of ram on this phone. I am trying to set the niceness of the apps so that Contacts and Virtual Keyboard are top priority but have yet to find an app that does it properly. I tried a terminal app and tried the niceness commands but they don't seem to work or at least the standard niceness commands do not work. Any ideas on how to change the niceness for apps?
Thanks
