Hi, just realized that my brand new Honor 4x is SIM locked on China Telecom. I can use the slot SIM2 but only wit 2G.
I travel a lot between Germany and China and therefore would like to insert my German T-Mobile LTE SIM in slot one. I get the message "invalid SIM"
Any chance to unlock the sim, bypass the provider restriction?
Thanks!
PS in the meantime I translated the Chinese description which states that it is provider locked
I'm trying to get my Huawei Valiant (Y301 A1) SIM unlocked. I'm still looking for ways to unlock it. Not sure if FreeUnlocks works

Dear all,
I just purchased a A199 Huawei dual CDMA/GSM phone from Aliexpress. Prior to purchase i had confirmed with seller that phone isn't locked and that i would be able to use my own provider SIM cards.
When I received the phone only the GSM SIM is detected, the CDMA SIM isn't detected despite using the same 800 Mhz frequency band (CDMA 2000). I then tried to download a ROM file from a chinese forum shuajizhijia.com, after the flash my phone kept rebooting itself continuously.
Anybody have any idea how to solve this?
Thanks.

Well I have HTC One Max 809d which is the only version that have CDMA+GSM Dual Sim Feature . Its imported from China but I am unable to use any CDMA sim in India as it shows no network but I can use GSM sim in India on its second slot . So I think it first slot i.e CDMA may be locked to its original network or region i.e China Telecom and China Region.
I have searched a lot on this and does not found any help but found this is a general problem on all dual sim cdma+gsm mobiles imported from china.
I have already tried various steps like unlocking bootloader, s-off , changing cid but did not receive any success on unlocking cdma network.
I also want to install gapps but there is no custom recovery for this version on one max only availabe is FOR sprint t6_spr , t6_vzw,
and mine is t6_dwg.
So Please help me in this .
Thanks

Well that goes against the CDMA standard. I know india phones well and the dual sim is for dual GSM sims or a CDMA data sim. CDMA is completely different tech then GSM that uses sim cards. If it is locked then you will have to call the Carrier that released the phone and have it unlocked but I think you will find even then you will only get a data sim with CDMA

Looking at buying an Irish huawei P8 from Vodafone and according to them it is not a dual sim phone.
Were there different models from the factory or is this just the vendor firmware/ROM disabling the second sim?
Any help would be appreciated TIA
You need to buy the GRA-UL00 model. It is dual sim.
On GRA-UL09 there is no option option to activate dual sim.
As I readed on the internet, only on P8 lite can be activated. Check their thread
Hello,
I'm from Portugal, and i have a samsung galaxy s9 plus dual sim.
Now im using just one sim card and one micro sd, I have two imei. If i unlock my phone i give us what imei?
Other question my phone is from meo, and in service provider sw version i have MEO/MEO, MEO/MEO.
If i unlock the phone in service provider sw version show TPH/TPH, TPH/TPH or no?
Thank you
If your phone is Dual SIM, you might have issues unlocking it.
Talk first with your carrier and ask them to unlock your phone.
Tried theunlockingcompany, they said the manufacturer hasn't released the unlocking code. So does that mean that no such unlocking company has it?
I try 7 place and no one can get unlock code network .... And i need a sim sprint to just activate mine im living canada
Same issue, folks. I'm having Indian LMG850EMW.AINVBK (LMG850EMW1). Need an Indian provider SIM card.
