[q] wifi stuck in turning on - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi I am having an issue with wifi on android 4.1.2 (micromax canvas A116HD). Wifi is stuck in Turning On all of a sudden. Tried several Wifi trouble shooting app, didnt help.
Then I tried a SP flash from stock ROM, but still it doesnt work - wifi still in turning on and Wifi mac address is in "unknown".
Recreated wpa_supplicant.conf by renaming the file and rebooting (youtube dot com/watch?v=PSS66qFCoys[/url]). Still wifi wont turn on.
Any help???

[Q] wifi error after installing cm7

Hi, I was able to flash cm7 (nightly build 36) rom and glitch v10 kernel for my telus fascinate
Only problem I'm having is the wifi that won't even try to connect.
When I turn on wifi, it immediately says 'error'.
It doesn't search for networks or anything.
My 3g works without a problem though.
I have tried pulling the battery and rebooting many times and tried using airplane mode to solve it but had no luck.
Thanks for your help!

Wi-fi not turning on

Suddenly i cant use wifi on android 5.1

Hi, im using dokdo rom, android 5.1(arter97 kernel ver 4.1) and everything was okay until this morning. I wanted to connect wifi but i realised that wifi cant be open from setting. Wifi status is off but it says turning wifi on. Go to Status i see that IP, wifi, BT are both unavailable athough they were ok yesterday( yesterday i used them). BT is okay, i can find other devices and pair with them. Can some help me? i tried to factory reset and reflash rom but nothing happened

WiFi issues across rom's

Sooooo. I have a problem with my ls990.
WiFi won't connect to anything. Sometimes it refuses to turn on
Bluetooth, cell service and data service all seem to be working.
There are three main WiFi states that happen.
The occurrence of theses seems to be random and they only change after a reboot.
WiFi stuck turning on
WiFi can see networks but can't connect
After boot, it auto connects then after a few second/minutes then disconnects and resorts to one of the two states above.
I have tried flashing to stock ROM ZV4.
The first time I flashed the ZV4 ROM via LG Flash tool, WiFi worked. However, when I flashed lineage os after, the wifi problem continued
When I flashed the ZV4 ROM a second time, the WiFi issue resumed.
Since WiFi does connect to WiFi networks occasionally after rebooting, this has led me to believe that this is a software issue and not a hardware problem
TL;DR: WiFi doesn't work after stock ROM flash
If anyone has any idea as to what the problem is or how to fix it, it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance. :good:
Bump as I'm having the same issue on my wifes G3

Need help please: WIFI stuck on 'turning on'. MAC Address - Unavailable

Hi everyone.
I have not been using my Mi Pad 1 for quite some time now. Recently, my brother installed an app that allows him to disable other users from connecting into the wifi. He stopped using the tablet because the wifi detects the network but does not connect (stuck with "saved"). I tried removing the SD card and restoring factory settings but still did not work. I also tried connecting it to a different ISP but it didn't work. All other devices are connecting to the home wifi with no problems.
I flashed the tablet with CWM and cyanogenmod 11 on both systems 1 and 2. Same thing. I was detecting Wifi but not able to connect.
I have also tried modifying the router settings as usually suggested by other users. Still not connected.
I also tried renaming WPA_supplicant.conf to WPA_supplicant.bak - it did not work as well
I have tried draining the battery completely and charging it again until 100% charged. Righty now, the tablet wifi is stuck on "turning on" status.
This is actually my first time doing a root, custom recovery and custom ROM install. I am really impressed by the guides posted here in XDA. I really hope there's still a solution to my problem.
Thanks for all the help!
*******I don't think it is a hardware issue because the tablet still detects available networks and is able to connect to bluetooth devices.
Hello.. Did you fix your issue?
