Hello
I have questions for:
HTC m8 Dual SIM
HTC one max dual SIM
Are they full active sense
1. receive calls from two SIM at the same time
2-You can connect to the first SIM of the second SIM
3-Do SIM 4G
4. Would you recommend Dual SIM or single .
5. Is there a clear difference for the consumption of the battery.
Please report point by point, and thank you

Hi All,
I have purchased Xolo Q1000 (and now rooted) with MT6589 chipset. The box says the device is dual 3G (3G+3G) dual active sim device. I have configured the phone using the below configuration:
1. Sim 1 : Sim for primarily voice calling. No data to be used
2. Sim 2 : Dedicated 3G sim for data
Problem:
The data (3G Sim 2) gets suspended when I receive call on Sim 1. The phone is certainly not Dual Standby due to the fact that if I have downloads running via sim 2, the sim 1 is still reachable; but the data suspends on call.
The demonstration shown by official MediaTek shows the above scenario with only difference that the data connection is persisted. This demo is shown in the following link:
Search Google for :mt6589 sim 1 sim 2 dual active and see the MediaTek result
I understand that I shall be able to pick call with persisting 3G connection, if the voice call is received on the 3G enabled sim. But I want the Sim 2 to be connected and also be able to call using sim 1.
Is there any gap in my understanding?

Most of the specs for the Xolo Q1000 listed the phone as dual sim (GSM+GSM) only, so I think if you are using 3G, the phone do not operate in dual sim standby mode. There are other MTK6589 phones with specs as dual sim (3G+GSM) but not your one.

Not sure where the specs are listed. The box and user manual says that the device is 3G+3G dual active. The marking on Sim slots also reads 3G for both slots.
Hi everyone
I am planning to buy a dual sim active phone on contract in UK. I had a look at htc one dual sim which works on dual sim management and user can use both sides and receive calls on both numbers at same time.
Please help me decide what phone to get on contract.
Thanks

Q. Can you run data on both sims
Sim one is straight talk
Sim two is freedompop
Honor 5X has Dual SIM Dual Standby or DSDS. These devices have two receivers and one transmitter. As soon as one SIM becomes active other goes in standby. This is applicable for both Calls and Data.
Dual SIM Dual Active mobiles can have both the SIM active at the same time. In this case, you can use both SIM data in parallel. Since Power consumption is more for Dual Active mobiles, those are not preferred currently.
Hello everyone,
i could take this phone as an upgrade with my current plan, however it is of course single sim.
In EU there are any differences in the hardware between single sim and dual sim (other than the sim tray slot)?
Thanks

I wish it was that simple, could use that functionality tbh... Unfortunately you can not convert a single sim card phone into a dual sim card.
This is because the phone lacks the necessary connections/hardware internally for dual sim card support.
Hello, I have a question about the dual 4G setting before buying this phone.
I know it's a dual 4G standby, but can you confirm that system auto switch network on secondary sim when receiving or sending MMS ? Is it fast ? Does 2nd sim use 4G in this case ? Does system auto come back to 1st sim after ?
Actually my 2016 dual sim phone can only use 4g for 1 sim, so when I receive mms on sim 2, network is only 2G/edge
so I confirm that dual 4g option allow 4g mms on the two sim cards
