Hello Guys I need small help here,
I'm trying to run "The Sims : Free Play" on my star but the game seems larger than my screen,
My phone is rooted , Is there any way to edit game's resolution and make it fit my screen ?

No u can't edit. Ur game is hvga or bigger download qvga(screen)games (try andropalace.net best for qvga games)
(1st Try "the Sims" qvga apk for same sddata)

They works on 2.3.3 fine , even nova works after prologue , but next problem is mirrors minigame

but when i open game again ~ additional files needed... so what? i have to download and replace files every time when i want to run it? (nova)....

But i saw a video on youtube where is a guy playing the last lavel of nova with his lg gt540 and the lg has the same screen size than the x8...how is this possible that he past the mini mirrors game?

guys try searching torrents for these games...search for paid android games on torrents and you'll find links to all most all the games like Nova, hawx, asphalt, nfs etc..
it is recommended that u should have 2.2+ so try MiniCMRC1 or CM7RC4

Different versions of this games are published on the internet,its not easy to find the suitable size 4 the screen of the X8 dude
i cant download Asphalt5 for x8 sd file...this link is remove...I hope someone upload this sd file... i am really want to play this game...thinks a lot..

I think Chainfire 3D doesn't have effect on several games. Especially "Temple Run"
Nope, you can play temple run only with chainfire 3d reduced settings, even though it needs a good ROM-Kernel combination, good tweaks and a swap of 280MB to work smoothly.
It does have a great impact on many games..Spiderman Total mayhem, RE4, GTA 3 and FF3 cant be played without CF 3D

uhm, but i can play Temple Run smothly without swap sir.
and i can play RE4 without CF 3D, i use RE4 English version and its run smooth without CF3D

gangstar wch shows every textures white
and gangstar MV loads till 20 pct and then close
if i had chain fire i would be able to play gangstar wch .. i donno about MV
if u can get a link for this game ( try on ur phone ) then i will be very happy
i downloaded more than 20 versions but they all have the same bug .. i even let it download data file but same problem
i don't know why it's soo complicated to play such games on android

i think its possible but with custom rom.
yes it is through custom rom if developed. But gb has very less functionality and app support compared to Jellybean even though it is fast. Ics would be best for phone(maybe kitkat wud be better, but well not know until a rom s made) All games run supernaturally fast on ics compared to jb and a lot of free ram is available (100mb consumption or sumthin) (even on 300mb ram and 800mhz processor many of my friends run the best of games easily).

its not possible to downgrade !!
and games dont depend on android versions !! it depends on processer !! u should buy a high end phone with dual core processer (atleast 1.2 GHZ) to play such games..
and chainfire 3D is actually reduce texture size and quality to reduce memory use.. its not soo effective as u think !! u cant play games which ur device cant run even with it...
and u can see gingerbread devices like galaxy y !! it cant run even temple run !!
still thinking of downgrade ???

The fps does depend on android version. the same game running on jellybean will run faster and smoother on gb or ics(for the same phone)
temple runs would definitely run better on gb or ics cf3d helps a lot lowering the graphics can make games run wonders( i have experienced it)
it may not be able to run all kind of games it wud definitely run much faster or smoother. But of course gb is outdated and all recent games aint gonna install.

recent games supports on gb !! but very few can run those games !! coz of their processers !! gb is a light weight OS !! so a low end hardware config can run gb thatswhy most of the gb device cant run those games !! like galaxy y is based on ARMv6 processer !! it can install games but cant run !! coz those games runs on ARMv7 devices..
the fact is the phone have to run the game first then comes chainfire 3D !! it reduce laggs !!
and if a phone run faster on ics it'll run games faster on ICS !! its also depends on the hardware !!
it is possible to downgrade your phone but for that we need to have a ported version of gingerbread for our device which has not been developed yet.

1st of all u'll need a kernel which is compatible to gingerbread 2.6.*.* !! and i dont think this kernel is compatible to galaxy star so its impossible !!

That kernel can be decompiled and recompiled for galaxy star but its a hectic process

as i said ppl i just want to do it to play gangstar on my phone ... if it's not possible then how to run gangstar wch or mv on this phone? i can play wch on my sister's galaxy y duos but it gives white textures on my phone and mv doesn't even load here . i just want a way to run them here so if some one have any idea please post it .. thanks

i havent't tried it with asphalt 8.. :/ so i don;t know much.. anyways.. try hibernating apps and freeing memory before you launch the game.. also install Pure HD if you havent already.. and maybe try experimenting with options on Gltools.. other than that i cant think of much..
and oh yeah.. what version of asphalt 8 are you using.. maybe update your version and see if that helps :|

I have pure graphics hd it did not help much and you are right i have updated my asphalt 8 it works very well than the old one......please tell me other tweaks and mods....
