hi
has anyone been successfull at rooting this phone?. I read it's the same as t-mobile version but I couldn't find any thread saying someone did.
would it work using DooMLoRD_v3_ROOT one click program?..
thanks
You could try it;Most likely it would work. It works on approximately 8 variants (listed in it's thread) of the Samsung Galaxy SII, so yours should be included.
Hi.. This is my first thread, sory if the thread is untidy
It's been so long since 2006 I visit this Xda-developer forum, with my old ID Meooww(Locked, dunno why).. Back then I have XdaIIs aka BlueAngel.. I upgraded it to WM 6.0 and then after several year usage the device R.I.P because the device screen's crack after I dropped it..
it's been a while i'm not using Smartphone/Tablet device and here I'm now back.. I'm going to use Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7510 and there's some question i want to ask.. so please help me, here..
I have try to do search too before posting new thread to avoid double posting, but seems i still got no aswers..
I have a big question that I find no aswers on google, so I try to ask expert people in here to solve my problem..
Ok then..
I just accidently won & bought Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7510 from ebay.. The Item has not arrived yet since I'm in Indonesia and the Item was just ship not long time ago from south carolina..
Unfortunately, I want Tab that have 3G/Network but I accidently buy the wi-fi only ver.
So I do a couple search and i found that there's someone selling the "SIM Slot" for p7510 & p7500, Please check here:
- SIM SLOT for P7500
- SIM SLOT for P7510/P7500
I know I haven't see the device by my self, but there's a video on youtube showing dissasebling GT-P7510 & GT-P7500, Please check it here :
1. GT-P7510
2. GT-P7500
What I can see is that the GT P7510/P7500 have the same mainboard, even the P7510 have an empty slot for SIM SLOT on the same location, only the GT-P7510 didn't have a hole on the case too put the SIM from outside, but this doesn't matter..
Please refer to this Image: http://imageshack.us/f/696/p7500.jpg/
I can do the Hardware thing, like dissasembling, Screewing, etc and putting the SIM SLOT on the right place. I'll do it on my own risk..
The only matter is the Software things... if I do it, will it works??? can the device recognize it??
or
Do I have to uninstall/wipe out all the P7510 stock firmware/OS and put the P7500 Firmware/OS so the 3G Mode will work..?
There's someone who has similiar problem but not the same before, He has the P7500 which is has P7510(wifi only) Firmware running on his tab.. and he now has fixed it back to P7500 Firmware.. See it here : Need 3G firmware GT-P7510
But can I do the same on My case??
If there is a way so I can install P7500's firmware on my P7510.. Please help me, by telling me where to start to doing that, What I need and what I must do..??
I'm really-really new about Installing ROM, Firmware or OS on Galaxy Tab..
Thanks before, your aswers might help me vvery much

I'm no expert but I don't think it would work either way. Installing a sim slot and 7500 firmware won't actually make it a 3g model. There's definately some other hardware differences. If not, many 7510 owners would have done it already at a cost of $10.

It looks promissing when reading tha ad on ebay. It say compatibilty: 7510 and 7500. I have never heard about that though.
But in the beginning of the add it say replacment of sim tray. So it looks like a typo. Confusing I have to admit.
Otherwise, depending on the rom you run it could be realy easy to test. Maby as easy as flashing the kernel.
I would try a custom rom made for the 7500. As long as yiu are rooted and have cwm (recovery) its easy.
Look at some rom thread supporting both versions. Download the one with 7500 support. If it works perhaps it will show up after boot.
Im no expert. You could surly get some help from our developers.
Interesting project

The 7510 may have a SIM card slot hiding inside it's case, but I doubt it has a 3G radio. It should be a pretty easy to see if it does - if you parse through dmesg in a console on a 7510 you should see that it finds the hardware, even if it doesn't have a driver for it. If it did have a 3G radio, I don't think there would really be a distinction between a 7500 and a 7510 and they would just all be 7500s. This information would probably have hit XDA soon after the tablet's release over a year ago, and there would be topics about it here showing how you can pop in any SIM card with a data plan.
Hello all thanks for the reply for this topic...
Yes, i'm also doubt if it has the 3G radio..
Actualy what I want to know is if the Mainboard Model number is just the same with P7500.. But my search came in nothing to find it.. i believe if it the same then the 3G might 80% will works.. since i didn't find any Antena Parts on the device..
Otherwise I'm still going to doing it, I'm awaiting the device to arrive here..
By the way, rather using the 7500 CFW, I prefer to use the Stock/Oem 7500 Firmware..
Does anyone know whe should I download the stock 7500 Firmware and How to istalling it to my P7510..?
Any help or comment would be very handy for me..
Thanks..

Flashing on the p7510 is like flashing on p7500,only if you don't mess the partitions.well, that's automatic in Odin...
Download the official ICS here:
http://stockroms.net/file/GalaxyTab10.1/ICS/P7500XXLQ8_P7500OXALQ8_ITV.zip
Hope to see your p7510 working like p7500,interesting,isn't it?!

So does the p7510 work as the 7500 or not?
Thanks.
I compared the Mainboard P7500 and P7510 (32GB version) )and my P7510 MB have complet full GMS part on Mainboard.
In other words, on the left side of the MB are all integrated circuits, for the GSM, including a connector for connecting the SIM card slot.
I know how Samsung, the GSM will blocked in software.
Some knowledge in this field?
Hey there
I have or "had" it seems to be Samsung Galaxy S GT-S7562
After flashing a KyleOpen custom rom, the mobile worked just fine but there's no network when calling or receiving one.
I went to maintenance service, they told me i have to get a new main motherboard or something
I read here that some people got the same problem but they fixed it but don't know how..
I'd appreciate it if anyone can help

Hello, XDA members! I am in dire need of help. I recently factory reset my Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (US Cellular, had Android 5.0). Because my phone was flashed to Pageplus and I reset it, I am not able to make any sort of calls. Now here's the problem: When I went to Pageplus to flash my phone, they said they are not able to "speak" to the phone because of there not being a way to flash Android 5.0 phones (That surprised me). I'm just an ordinary consumer, so I do not have a lot of knowledge about tech. I was hoping you guys could help me. Thanks.
P.S. I hope this is the correct place to post this in the forums.
