I just got a LG Optimus L90 as the replacement device for my G2 (broken charger port) so now that I've backed up everything from my old phone I've ran into a problem. Most apps I need to use to restore files only look for files in /storage/emulated/0 on my device, but since my apps are on my external SD card I need to get apps to show all available storage's so that I can select my sd card. Anyone know of a way to do so?

I had this exact issue before flashing a new ROM. I think it's part of the SD disconnect issue that the T's have REALLY bad. Once I threw AmberHome on there, I haven't had an issue once.
just get sma eproblem, but not on P500, instead, on LG Optimus Chic E720 (LG-E720) and Archos 32 Internet tablets. after i use android sdk's adb to enable both's function of setting SD card as default installing space and put 130+apps onto SD cards (total apps amount>150) after i reboot my phone all apps on SD card can't be recongized by the android, rarely rebuilding apps list help solve the problem but most of the time it doesn't. furthermore when the problem occur if i connect the device to my PC the device does not ask me if i want to mount the device/allow PC to access to the card as usual, and when the problem occur if i go to setting-->apps-->manage apps-->click into any apps all sizes are showing as "calculating". And the Archos 32 Internet Tablets just have internal storage instead of SD card so the app2sd move things to internal memories instead of SD cards from ROM only. But those apps on ROM still can be loaded as usual.
Hi all,
I just brought the LG Optimus One P500 this afternoon and thanks for great info in XD. I managed to rooted the device so smotthly
Question:
after rooting, now how can install/move my applications to my SD card instead of the internal memory.
Previosuly on Samsumg spica there is a tool call App2SD, any similiar tools for LG Optimus One P500
Thanks
Do you want to install directly to the sd card or just to move them after being installed on the internal memory?
You can move apps around using Settings->Applications since FroYo can do that for you but not all apps can be moved just yet. Other apps can move them forcefully (I use Titanium Backup to do that).
If you want to install to the sd card directly, look for an app called apps2sd. I found it on the market a few months ago and it opened like the Settings menu. It will just ask you where you want apps to go to when you install them. It was really simple. Widgets wont work from the sd card though. Move them to the internal memory and reboot after if you have them on the sd card already.
and make sure you have a fast card if you want to install directly to the sd card.
Going through root explorer I noticed I have sd card and sd card-ext. The internal hard drive is the sd card so when I tell the phone to store to sd it saves it on the phone and not the memory card, for example pictures. Can we correct this some how? Also, same with programs, move to media is still the internal hard drive. Do we have a list of apps safe to use app2d to force
to card?
These phones do not have a "hard drive". A custom ROM might be able to change that, but then what would you use that internal storage for? I have my pics setup to go to sd-ext currently.

I just bought an LG L9 phone which for its price of $150 was pretty attractive for a dual core.
However, I noticed that when I downloaded apps that download extra data, they were not storing the data on my micro sd, but rather the internal storage, which only has 1.5gb available.
For some reason internal storage is named /SDCARD and the external storage is named SDCARD/ETERNAL_SD
I have no option to move any apps to the sd card from the app settings menu. I put my old microsd card in this phone and tried to restore settings saved from other apps, but it wouldnt recognize I had an settings saved since it apparently doesnt know about the new microsd card directory.
When I download a game that downloads extra files like Asphault for example, it doesnt store the extra data on the micro sd, it just puts it all on the internal storage. I cannot use my offline gps program because it says I dont have enough space to download the map files which normally would be downloaded right to the microsd
I called LG about this, and they claim its normal and all ICS phones have this file name structure.
Is this true? Starting with ICS, are all phones making micro sd cards practically useless aside fro m storing pictures and videos?
Hi all,
I just got my hands on a Boost Mobile LG Realm. It turns out this phone only has 1gb of internal storage. I popped in a micro sd thinking it would solve the issue. It turns out that you cannot save apps to the SD card. Shoot, some of my apps don't even have the option of setting the SD card as the primary save location.
I have done some research, but alas I still need some assistance. Can someone tell me how I can use my SD card as my primary storage on Kit Kat 4.4.2? I have discovered that my phone has an emulated external storage so that it stops the SD card from being used as a primary storage.
I have successfully rooted the phone via Towelroot, and I have frozen/uninstalled some bloat ware using Titanium Backup
Edit: I have attached my vold file via dropbox: dropbox com/s/ihpfoo4h79kaphx/vold.fstab?dl=0
Like I said I have done some research and the code in my vold file does not match the ones in the guides.

Your gonna be kinda stuck. While you can move the apps to sdcard with a few tools the app data will still be on the internal storage. There are a few ways to move that also but due to the way sd cards work on Android it kills app performance and may even stop the app from working all together. This is due to android removing all sd card code from stock Android and each OEM has to add it back on their own so coding is different from one device to another.

Thanks for the reply. I understand; I guess I will have to lightly use this.
