[Q] Huawei Honor u8860 Big Problem

Hi everyone
I have big problem with my honor
i read this forum about 3 days but i can't find anything that helps me
problem is that i bricked my phone
i was trying to change my stock ROM to custom
and i read that i need to flash custom recovery.img and also unlock bootloader (pink screen)
i couldn't install CWM and unlock bootloader
so i rooted my phone (everything goes fine)
then i install root explorer and renamed stock recovery.img to recovery-original.img (placed in /.cust_backup/image/)
next i placed custom recovery.img to /.cust_backup/image/
i think this will give me a CWM but my phone stuck
when i'm trying to power my phone i see huawei logo and then i see error "signature verification failed"
and nothing happen next
i was trying to flash new rom from sdcard (vol+ vol- power)
but i have update failed and in dload folder is .log
dload_sd_ram_data_proc->(retry >= DLOAD_RETRY) failed!
i was trying about 50 times with different Roms and allways have "update failed" at step 2/2
i have locked bootloader so i don't see system partition
i was trying also to flash some downgrade .app and b928 pink screen unlocker
but here also give me message "update failed"
I have
HUAWEI HONOR U8860
ROM: ICS B928
BOOTLOADER: Locked
Kernel: 3.0.8 but i'm not sure
Phone purchased in Europe
is there any option what can i do?
windows don't recognize my phone
adb toolkit also don't see my device
mayebe there is a program that let me go inside my system partition and change recovery.img back?
help please!!
you cant flash custom roms with b928 base -____- now you need to install this
http://www.huaweidevice.com/cn/downloadCenter.do?method=toDownloadFile&flay=software&softid=NDEyODk=
later install any rom (i suggest you b919 in this trhead http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1552038)
Than install any b9xx custom roms
i was trying with this update.app but i allways have update failed
anyone have idea how to flash my phone?
i think i'm only one person i the world who have u8860 with official ROM B928
because this rom is for huawei u8800

what do you mean with rebooting into Pink screen? I just did exactly what you explain here: put the UPDATE.App file in dload folder on sd card..., but now my HUAWEI is stuck at the boot logo after the the device did the update, so what do you mean with reboot into pink screen or how do you do this? I think YOU can very help me out here!
Thanks!
To reboot in to pink screen you have to delete the dload folder and turn off the phone
then you have to turn it on with holding vol up+ and vol down- buttons until you wil see pink screen
But my problem still is not fixed please help
Yeah!!
my phone works!
I give it to my friend and he flash a china B919 ROM
I have no idea how he did it because when i was trying to flash B919 i allways have update failed
mayebe the point is that he use other sd card
So can anyone tell me what i have to do next?
Because I'm afraid to don't brick my phone again
I have to flash a CWM? If yes please give me a link to a correct version of CWM
Peace!

[Q] Soft brick issue

I recently attempted to flash the CM11 M11 snapshot on my Z2 Tablet (Wifi only), following these instructions: hxxp://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_castor_windy (I'm not allowed to post external URLs yet)
I unlocked the bootloader using fastboot and flashed the boot.img like the instructions say, but when I tell the tablet to reboot (fastboot reboot) the LED turns solid red and it never goes any further. I tried re-flashing the boot.img from the Cyanogen image and I've tried downloading older snapshots (m10 and m9) to flash their boot.imgs, but I can't get the tablet to boot to the point that it shows the Sony logo.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to at least get this thing to boot to recovery?
I've done some more playing and I am able to get the tablet into flashmode as well. However, when I attempt to load an FTF file via flashtool I get this error
flashsystem.X10FlashException: ERR_SEVERITY="MINOR";ERR_CODE="0017";ERR_DYNAMIC="0x800A0017 ";
Click to collapse
I have no idea what this error means and I can't find any source that knows either.
So I'm just a misinformed moron...
I was told that this tablet is a Z2, but it is actually just a Z. Since I was using the wrong image I almost bricked the thing.
I ended up using Flashtool to flash a stock FTF file for the Sony Xperia Tablet Z and now it boots fine. I guess that means my question is resolved.

I have done it

I have converted my padfone x to a padfone s
The basic way I did it was follow the directions for installing cm12 boot cm12 using fastboot boot cwm6.img instead of flashing unlocking the bl using cwm6 ( I was not running a tested version of att software) then flashing the flash the newest ww padfone s firmware from their webpage then doinf a data format then rebooting to stock recovery and flashing the asus firmware a second time then factory reset.. I kept BL unlock and did not flash new recovery because I will unroot when 5.0 is released. second bonus is incall recording. but the minus is the mobile net connection is based on strongest signal not fastest and LTE band 17 needs to be enabled on each boot using anycut But in my opinion the benefits are way better the the lte thing HSPA is really fast enough. IF these instructions dont make any sense to you dont ask for help they are to advanced for you
Update
LTE has worked it self out. this conversion is 100% and my device is still unlocked BL and SIM
Very good. Thank you for posting this. Currently on tmo running CM12 and will be attempting this

good luck first boot takes along time
also flash stock recovery then in fastboot boot to cwm6 using fastboot boot cwm6.img and when it loads do a data and system format flash the update from asus padfone s support page. i used the WW one then power off not reboot then reboot into stock recovery (took some time) then flash the update with stock and factory reset
This is the firmware package i used.
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Mobile_Phone/PadFone_S/UL-ASUS_T00N-WW-11.10.7.11-user.zip
After root with this
A new thing I've noticed with this waw firmware it supports incall call recording
an interesting thing. the zip file from asus does not update the modem.

After bricking my phone, I managed to push the zip file into recovery mode. However, I cannot update my phone to WW version as it states that Padfone X is a T00D instead of T00N!!!
How did you manage to push the files into it?
Or you just installed the CM12?

[Solved] How to root acer liquid zest (3g) model T06

Hey can anyone help me on how to root acer liquid zest (t06) 3g version? I don't seem to find any guides on how to root this phone.
If anyone can help me thanks in advance
Edit:
(Must be flashed with unlocked bootloader.)
To those asking on how I rooted my phone here:
Get this recovery and flash it:Flash this via fastboot/ADB
Mod edit: Link removed as recovery was causing issues with users' devices.
If flashing it doesn't work try booting it instead:
https://aubykhan.wordpress.com/2013/07/21/-tip-boot-into-twrp-or-cwm-recovery-without-flashing/
After Flashing the recovery download supersu and flash it:
https://download.chainfire.eu/969/Su...0630161323.zip
Done you rooted your phone
For anyone asking for a custom rom here:
http://www.droidpeepz.xyz/2016/08/cm-rom-601-cyanogenmod-13-unofficial.html
I know this isn't for acer liquid zest but it worked for me without porting it
try changing themes and settings if the rom is lagging or stuttering
For the stock rom I still need to upload it

I have the same problem as you do and have installed twrp several times but it's not helping i still get stuck into the bootloop that shows twrp trying to do some things but can't do it. So do anybody know where you can find the stock recovery for this device?
do you have a different link for the CyanogenMod? i can't download it in Mega Server, it says "Limit Exceeded".
Hey guys, bought this phone a month back and tried the recovery in the op and the display was off. As well as a couple of the partitions. Just booting the recovery once messed up my touchscreen somehow and I was unable to repair my phone. So I got another one and I went ahead and unpacked the recovery and repacked it with my recovery kernel as well as removed unnecessary partitions from the list of used partitions in the recovery. If anyone has a new liquid zest with Android 6.0, use this recovery:

Also, I found the stock firmware if anyone needs it, just shout me a message and I'll upload it for you.

that is the stock firmware for the acer z525 aka the t06 aka liquid zest. This firmware flashes with sp flash tools. you will need the mtk preloader driver. alternativly, you can just flash the recovery and boot images included in the firmware package with fastboot. the commands are "fastboot flash boot <image>" for the boot and "fastboot flash recovery <image>" for the recovery. now as I said, this recovery works 100% for me and i have the same phone.... so When you unlocked your bootloader, you used the "fastboot oem unlock" command? and did you press the vol up button on the phone afterwards to confirm the unlock? and did it do a factory reset? all of these things are mandatory prior to flashing the recovery. if you did all of that then i gotta ask, Are you sure you have the z525 and not the z528 with lte?

Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro (SM-J250G) Rooting issues.

Hello XDA!
I am writing this thread to ask for help rooting my Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro.
I attempted to use apps such as: Framaroot, Kingroot, etc.. but so far none of them have worked and I have not been able to find a working guide on the internet of how to root my phone.
I also tried installing an unofficial version of TWRP for my phone but everytime I tried to boot into the recovery it would say "No Command" and then boot into the original recovery.
Is anyone able to help me root my phone? Can it even be done?
Any help is sincerely appreciated. Thanks!
Phone Specifications:
Samsung Galaxy J2 Pro.
SM-J250G
Android Version: 7.1.1
Bumpity Bump
Try this at your own risk
Make a backup before trying
I got root access with this method
Download stock Rom from sammobile extract and there should be 5 MD5 files extract the AP file with 7z and copied boot.img on to sdcard
Installed MagicalMmanager-7 used it to patch the boot.img to a tar file
Copied the boot image to my pc desktop then flashed the boot with odin
When I booted it back up magisk manager kept crashing so I uninstalled it and installed magiskmanager-5.23 rebooted it opened magisk and followed the prompts to update it

Unfortunately I have not found a solution. Please notify me if you find one.
here is a copy of my boot.img after flashing this you will get a verification problem and you will have to reset your phone if it bootloops into recovery or starts to update and says no command take battery out put it back in and boot it again or boot in to odin mode and push down and boot it eventually it will boot in to recovery then factory reset it. first boot may take 5-10 minutes
my software version is J250GDXU2ARD3_J250GXSA2ARD3_XSA

What do I do from here? or do I need to flash the original rom?
don't worry about "Set Warranty Bit : Kernel" mine does it too here is another boot.img after i flashed this i got verification failed so i used 7z to tar userdata.img.ext4 i extracted from the AP image i got the boot.img from.
i put boot in BL and userdata in AP and flashed it. it fired up as normal and then i installed magisk apk

Hey, sorry for the late response. Everything is working fine! I now have superuser abilities but everytime I try to flash my recovery with TWRP it just loads the stock recovery. I even tried removing certain files from the root folder to avoid the stock recovery being flashed but it hasn't worked.
Any idea? Ps. You are a life saver my man.
