Q&A for [REF] Roms, Root, SBF, RSD, Bootstrap, Mods
Some developers prefer that questions remain separate from their main development thread to help keep things organized. Placing your question within this thread will increase its chances of being answered by a member of the community or by the developer.
Before posting, please use the forum search and read through the discussion thread for [REF] Roms, Root, SBF, RSD, Bootstrap, Mods. If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

I know this is a dumb question -_- But I had to ask it.
I can I factory reset my phone even though it has a custom rom (ICScrewD 2.0.1) and its rooted?
Would it mess it up?
Yes, just follow these steps http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=20229527&postcount=46

Sorry, wrong link. This one is the one you need http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1286432
I bricked my Original Droid Razr (XT912) and I can access AP Fastboot mode as well as Recovery, etc. Can I unroot it so when I bring it to the store to replace it, they won't know? How do I unroot it? Thanks.
Dude! How many threads are you going to post on this subject in the same forum. I count three in this forum. At least be creative and cross post.

I'm really sorry! I would crosspost, but I don't know how. But does anyone have any idea to solve my issues?
Please stop posting the same question over and over. The other threads have been deleted

There is one in General Q & A too. He may not know what cross-posting is, but he knows how to do it. LOL

I think I saw in one of your many posts that you tried to RSD Lite restore in fastboot that didn't work.
Have you tried putting it in AP fastboot and using DroidRazrUtility 1.82 to restore the image? It is option 1. A little more forgiving than RSD Lite I hear.

I didn't know spamming different questions was illegal..... and besides I don't know how to "cross post". Anyway, I successfully unbricked my Razr, so I don't need help right now. Thanks.

Well, why don't you follow these threads? Just start with reading about the emmc brick bug to avoid the risks that come with 4.0.4.

And a warning flashing onon this firmware can lead to u hardbrick
There aren't any absolutely specific instructions, same method to root as any other version (search/learn/read). Flash Odin version of Siyah so you're free of the brickbug then you can flash whatever you want/wipe.etc.
Edit - Post above mine. Again, you'd better be around to hold the OP's hand when he has questions about using the method you linked to from another site (which frankly is convoluted and contains so many unnecessary steps it ain't funny). The rest of us won't be. Stop doing that.

Thanks, but is there any tutorials with in XDA ?
As you've already been told (reading not a strong point eh ?), yes. Guides.
They're simple if you take your time. If you don't, you may well break your phone.

The guy only will respond to and press the Thanks-button for those who give him answers he likes. He just ignores the rest.
If he bricks his device, it's his own fault.

Cheers ! :good:
I have read through the forums for the last two days trying to figure out how to get my tab back to stock and cant seem to find any links that are current (or unbroken). Can some one please point me in the right direction to a stock rom image? My note 10.1 gt-n8013 wont boot up at all after a recent update. I do have access to the recovery screen and the download target screen but I cant get my computer to run odin (it recognizes the device but fails connection set up every time). I re installed all drivers on my windows 7 laptop but it looks like I will have to load onto the memory card to get anything to work. Thanks in advance for any help and please don't hesitate to ask questions if I have left any needed info out.
can u get to download mode..?
if so download ur stock firmware from www.sammobile.com and flash with odin

You've already posted in the Q&A section. Why are you posting here? Furthermore, this is the Galaxy Tab 10.1 P7500/P7510 forum.

Then the likelihood of him fixing his note is pretty low if he cannot figure out where to post a q&A .......

First this is in the wrong section this should be in either the Q&A or general and second if you just peeked at the Q&A section you would have seen this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/g-watch/help/downgrade-t3337013

Also if you just want to unroot flash this in TWRP but why would you want to unroot anyways? It's not like OTAs don't work and also your system stays completely stock anyway. There is no upside to unrooting
I need this knowledge in case of warranty. By the way sorry for writing this topic in the wrong section.
