AFAIK, it didnt worked for the G2, G3 support is beta. Yesterday I installed the new official CM12 and the G3 QuickRemote. I thought if the G3 app is working on the G3 so SMART IR ,which its G3 is on beta, should use the same drivers. So I gave Smart IR a shot and it works! It does crash often though. I managed to use it on LG TV, my AC and my set box.
Just to mention again I am running CM12 on D802 so I dont know if its gonna work on stock.

It has broken my car player and I'm planning to buy a Pioneer AVH-X8600BT. One of the features that most interest me is the MirrorLink and I doubt if it worked with my Lg G3.
This phone is compatible with MirrorLink technology?
If you need support which wire to connect the phone??
Thank you very much for your help!

But some people have managed to get phones not on the list to work....
Edit: I swear Pioneer uses Appradio, which supports mirrorlink but is not limited to Mirrorlink ENabled devices:
Check this - it looks positive:

Judging by what you're saying it shows, you are compatible, Android Wear is compatible with 4.3 and above. However if your phone only has Bluetooth 3.0 support and not 4.0LE you'll see some battery drain outside the normal amount specified by both users of the device and the manufacturer. This is because 4.0LE maintains a link with the device without actively being connected to it causing it to use less power to communicate, 3.0 lacks this ability so your phone would need to keep an active link with the watch at all times.
That being said, don't let that discourage you from getting it, your phone is completely compatible as it is now and should give you an alright experience with the device. I personally love my LG G Watch and feel that it's the best purchase I've made in a long time.

They wouldn't do that. They have to many new devices to sell, but not so good as LG g2-mini. There is few custom rom based on 5.1.1 but nfc and IR not working ;(
Finally switched to Cyanogenmod from Stock Rom, because I do not expect any more significant updates from LG.. With this switch I am now on Android Marshmallow, works like a charm on the G2 mini, even if the Cyanogenmod release is still in beta.

With 6.0 from LG you will get real, fully functional UX 4.0 so you'll can use LG device in 100% (IR remote controll, NFC and other producer functions.. etc), in CM it's imposibble and you don't know when they fix all bugs but of course CM is a good alternative and it's good that G2M has now official support but for me LG official firmware is the best Greetings
Ps I dont think so we will get 6.0 but maybe 5.1, it will be nice too. LG makes updater faster than other producers, G2M is now little bit old but still good phone.

Thats true, CM has some downsides like no NFC and IR support. But it has one important upside for me: Android Auto works far better. With LG stock rom, my mobile did not connect reliably with my car using Android Auto. After the switch to CM 13, Android Auto works perfectly.
I noticed too, has a much stronger GPS signal with CM13 , and i hate this stock rom large icons and not possible to hide status bar(a bunch of unnecessary google apps). My conclusion CM13 is better in every way, the only for camera I'm not sure.

I'm back. ???. I ended up getting a h830 today. Mint condition. Works good. Needs a new battery. Already unlocked the bootloader. Will be flashing to try. I run fulmics on my g3 and maybe even in My g2. Been a while. Gonna downgrade I guess to get twrp and root. I had a sprint and Verizon g5 back when no root was available. Don't know if it is yet depending on how well the battery holds up on downgrade. I may flash this very soon just for trial
Been stuck on Samsung for the most part. Getting annoyed with my s8. I got like 10 phones laying around and my s8 can be rooted. But my mate se is the only one bootloader unlockable

Kcal is working perfect for me I got a lucky g5 my GPS works. My last 2 g5s neither GPS worked. The new battery getting me about 5 hours sot. But kcal makes or breaks mine has a horrible ghosting problem. But auditer and kcal 100 fix this. I bought a oppo clone Helio p80 supposedly off wish. But if it's a decent clone. I'm ditching my s8s and running the g5 and knock off as dailyz. I got a v40 unlocked bootloader but it needs a screen so I'm gonna wait for the v60 so the frame and lcd come down a bit on price

That's cool. I do most of my gaming on my PS4 or psvr. A bit of remote play on my 10 inch Sammy tablet. As long as I'm near the house I even got ds4 support
Hello everyone. There is a thing called Renegade Project which allows you to install Windows 11 Arm on some phones. I've already installed it half a year ago on my old OnePlus 6 and used this phone as a mini Steam Deck with a Bluetooth joystick, but now the thing is also available for LG G8X. Has anyone tried this yet? I am wondering about a performance difference between 845 and 855 Snap in Windows games

I'm trying it rn and Windows 11 itself runs great, unfortunately there are some drivers issues like the lack of audio, USB and DP support which is a deal breaker for me, also the GPU driver has some glitches (probably fixable by using a different one). i tried a few games like
Ori and the Blind Forest : Playable at around 25 to 45 fps at 720p
Tomb Raider (2013): runs at mostly at around 30fps to 35 fps with a few minor dips at 1080p lowest settings
GTA IV: Garbage optimized game, starts running at 20fps and after driving 10 Centimeters dips to 15-10. same fps at 1080p and 800x600
well this work on a lg g8 thanks

Unfortunately the G8 is not officially supported, you can still try and still hopefully works with the G8X or G8S drivers/UEFI, no guarantees.

Thanks for the reply. And I found out that after I odered the lg g8 I order a lg g8x to try with it bricked a g8x trying to root and then by mistake I hit in qfil erase the hole flash by mistake tryed to get it back but it was a no go not even a the hs qd loader. Com port is showing up any more that lg g8x I had a hard time with rooting the device and getting the root and twrp to work on the 1st lg g8x I got the 2nd lg g8 then found out it not really supported on that one but that lg g8 tought me alot What on the rooting part of things and flasing the boot loader and doing cross flashing as well so hopefully for the this next LG g8x things work out for the best and i get it to work
