This thread involves all the the things you can add to your Kitkat ROM. Note that the following patches are only for Kikat ROMs based on the Discovery ROM and not for other Kitkat roms like CM11 -
1. Modem.img
For user facing problems in catching 2G Signals on their phones, this is the fix.
The most easiest way is to download the new ZIP modem.img and flash it directly through recovery !!! If after flashing this patch, you still can't get 2G signals, then delete all files in device/data/nvram using a root file manager and then reboot.
OR
If you have the modem.img file from CM11, then open your ROM in winrar. Navigate to system/etc/firmware/ and find a file named modem_1_3g_n.img. Replace this file with the downloaded modem.img file and rename it as modem_1_3g_n.img. Now flash this rom again !
OR
Just manually replace modem.img in system/etc/firmware/ in your Root File Manager, then set right permissions. Then delete all files in device/data/nvram and then reboot.
2. Blue Dialer
The Kitkat ROM comes with a boring white and grey colored dialer. Replace it with the one in Kitkat Phones by downloading this apk and replacing it with the stock one under system/priv-app with a Root File Manager, then set right permissions and reboot.
3. New Kernel - 18.11.2014
If you haven't flashed the new kernel already, then do it now. It improves performance (as seen in Antutu scores).
4. Camera Patch
People who have A116i model of Canvas HD still don't have a fix (because A116i has a different Camera module). Other A116 users can flash these patches to fix the blue cam problem, change resolution from 8 mp to 13 mp, and to change the erratic timing of flashlight. These are 2 patches in total. First flash the 10 mb patch and then the 13mpbluecamfix patch.
5. SD-Card Read/Write Error Fix
"Google imposed new restrictions in Android 4.4 update. Data can only be read and not written so some of the file explorers may not work. You will not be able to delete any data present on your internal memory through the phones file manager."
To fix this problem, flash this patch.
6. SuperSU
The Discovery ROM comes with Superuser instead of SuperSU. One problem with Superuser is that while asking to grant to root permissions for an app, it occupies the whole screen. Also, SuperSU offers more functionality than Superuser. First remove Superuser by using Titanium Backup and then flash this patch to get SuperSU.
7. Space Partition
This thing requires more hardwork than any other patch i've already mentioned. You can increase your Phone Storage to install more apps. Refer to this thread to know more-

Dude, that won't help. It's like not flashing the blue patch at all, because all the libs will be overwritten anyway...

Installation instructions:
1. Download FXP107 from http://uploaded.to/file/30f2pj59/from/ily4bk
2. Download SCRIPTS.ZIP file & extract updater-script & build.prop files.
3. open FXP054 zip file , you will see two folders(META-INF & system) & boot.img (kernel) in it.
4. Replacing Updater-script
a. open the nightly file what you've downloaded 'FXP107' using winrar
b. go to this folder path ' META-INF/com/google/android/'
c. you will see updater-script file now Replace it with the file extracted from
5. Replacing build.prop
a. open the same nightly file which you've edited before 'FXP107' using winrar
b. go to this folder path ' system/'
c. you will see build.prop file at the bottom now Replace it with the file extracted
6. Installing CM9 Kernel
a. extract the boot.img file provided in the zip to the fastboot folder in your PC
b. power off device , plug in phone usb in fastboot mode & use this command in CMD & flash the kernel
fastboot flash boot boot.img
3. power on device & goto CWM Recovery & wipe factory settings , wipe cache & install the zip you've edited
4. reboot & enjoy

No I'am Not Facing This Problem With This ROM
He had one problem with the wake phone (unlocking)? I, unfortunately, for this reason I had to install CM7 back : (

From 1st post / link you can see it's a FreeXperia developed project with few updater scripts being replaced to make ROM work on Neo V. Also, FXP works on CyanogenMod sources..
tried the miui cam fix ! not compatible to cm9 . but the posted rom looks amazing , first boot took surprisingly too long , but it was worth the wait ! but camera is the only drawback . . so i switched back to my old miui rom . . but as soon as the cam fix arrives , this will be the rom running on my phone
the kernel overcloak is not enough to make this rom faster..... is holy crappy ugly f$%&"ng slow!!!!!!. ICS alpha from SE and the "activated versions" runs far away faster than this one.
Need more tunning to be used as a production rom, anyways is good to see cyanogen didn't forget us at all. And the FXP team is working for all 2011 models and not just for the ones they got from SE.

Gapps is the google apps. Due to licensing restrictions these apps cannot come pre-installed with CyanogenMod or other mods and must be installed separately. Contains apps like google market etc.

Oh ****....I didn't realize because that the phone did not have a sdcard.....so basically I have to remove the aroma full wipe option....

Make sure you have Boot Menu recovery installed. It will not work with other recoveries.

2. Make a backup first
3. Put the ROM file in SDCard or Internal Memory
4. Boot into the recvoery
5. Wipe cache, dalvik cache, factory reset and system/ROM
6. Install the zip file

-Go to settings > Wi-Fi > Hit the menu button > Advanced > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep set to 'Never'
-Use the Greenify app
-Turn off mobile data when not in use
-Install BetterBatteryStats from PlayStore, you can know what cause the battery to drain
-Do not overclock your phone
-Use other governors and scheduler like Hotplug
-Try to undervolt your phone. I don't know whether it is working or not on this phone.
-Install JuiceDefender from PlayStore. It saves lots of battery. NOTE: This is not for heavy user, whom always turn on mobile data for example

1. Boot to the recovery
2. Go to system keeper
3. Select install root
4. Reboot
5. Go to the Superuser app.
6. Swipe to the left.
7. Update the 'su' binary.

-Changed the version to Release Candicate.
-Changed the ROM name to MyFirstROM.
-Removed several apps from the /system/app because the previous ROM file are quite large (about 490MB). I will debloat more apps in this ROM soon.

try with BMM, SS cannot flash kernels (boot.img)

Hhhmm, i've compiled the ROM with the jelly bean EU kernel. Im very busy this week but i will looking for problems when i have time.
By the way, thank you very much for reporting.

Dear Heblu, dear TheMrcool212,
I imagined that was the issue, since this rom is based upon the Jelly Bean update from Motorola. Thank you so much! When and if I have time I will try with BMM and report!

i use bmm to install this rom, but it said abort, error, status 7.
by the way, this error not happened at the beginning installation, it shows when almost the rom flash done, then it says script error.

I've checked the updater-script for errors using Android Kitchen, i got 6 errors. I am able to fix 2 of them. But can you post any shots/pictures so i can see it?
Edit: I think it is because i got no /system/usr/bin folder in the ROM.
Edit 2: i created a folder named 'bin' in /system/usr. It may fix during the flash. Now i am uploading it.

Yes, you can install it on top of it. But i recommend you to install on other ROM slot. Like e4f said, it got a bootloop.
EDIT 1: I'm so sorry man!!, i forgot to put the stock kernel when building the ROM. i think thats the cause of the bootloop.
EDIT 2: The new release will uploaded with the kernel. Now the link is up.

I personally love moto camera and gallery. And with the latest update moto camera has also got manual exposure. So may of you may like to have the latest moto apps on your phone. Therefore I present you the latest camera and gallery app. There are many other flashable zip but they are old.

I hav installed moto gallery( which sucks) nd moto camera( which also sucks)...these r all stock rom apps....so if i flshed this zip any chance of overlapping with existing apps or any chance of bootlooping...using tp1.1 rom

This should basically work with any ROM. I have tested it on many CM based ROM's . Not tried on Titan Prime ROM . But it should work.
You said you installed moto camera & gallery. You mean you already have those app on your phone ?
Backup using your recovery and flash it , if any problem occurs recover it, and do report.
This will break theme engine?
For me this zip has never broke the theme engine. Yes when I used other zip on xda once my theme engine broke. For safety I recommend you to first switch to default android theme, then flash my zip.

Yes I know gallery app has been updated . But I don't think it has any important changes. So not thinking of updating it (I don't even have that apk) . But if any important meaningful update arrives I will sure update the zips. ! :highfive:

Which ROM+theme are you using ? Provide me logcat,I will see if I can help you.
Did you wiped dalik cache after flashing this zip , if not do that first.

Photos don't get deleted after I choose to delete them. They only disappear from the list until I reopen the gallery.
Any possible way to fix it?
No such issue here. Do a dalvik cache wipe to see if problem fixes.!!

This zip doesn't not support play store update. Slow motion camera doesn't work as mentioned in first Post, this is some rom decoder problem I can't fix it.
Zip has been updated to latest camera and gallery app as of 15-june -2015 . You can update your old app by flashing new one. You can dirty flash ( i.e just flash the new zip ). But do a dalvik cache wipe. Enjoy !!

I have the same problem. I did clear cache+dalvik and flashed latest zip today (problem was present before too)
any idea how to fix that?
