WOW
Unbelievable stability at such an early juncture...Hats off to the devs....

Thank you sir! Working great so far.

How does this version compare to Santod040 cm12?

These are nightly official builds. So they will always have the latest cm commits.

Has anybody figured out how to disable proximity sensor completely in lollipop? I have asked around and have been trying to find this out by myself but it is beyond my skill-level. My proximity sensor broke and I just want to turn on my screen during calls. Somebody please help.

Whats going on with battey life in lollipop roms? Working so far but poor battery

I have been on the 1/11 nightly for a few days now and have experienced no measurable difference in battery life from the latest CM11 snapshot I was previously using. I flashed the pico version of PA GApps and only installed the other Google apps that I actually need. What are the battery stats telling you that is consuming your battery the most? Perhaps you have an app installed that doesn't play well with Lollipop and is burning through CPU cycles?
One thing that irks me a bit with Lollipop so far is the stock MMS/Messaging app and its notifications. I don't want the content of my text messages to appear in the notifications when my screen is locked, so I turn on the content hiding for notifications. But when I do that, the notifications don't tell me how many missed texts I have. Nor is there ever a notification count in the taskbar when on the home screen. When content hiding is disabled for notifications, I will see the content of a single missed text on the lock screen, but when there are multiple it shows the count. In comparison, Gmail will always show the notification count on the lock screen regardless of the content hiding setting.

Is this safe to dirty flash over santod040's unofficial cm12?

I don't think dirty flashing is ever completely safe. It should be in this case, but you can't ever say for certain that a dirty flash will be "safe".

It really should always be safe. If stuff breaks because of it there's only really two reasons.
1) we screwed something up with database migrations or an update path (yea right =P)
2) some weird stuff was installed or previously broken on the install you're coming from
Generally speaking though, it should be fine to do.

Would you know what the misc battery consumption category consists off?

I use the USB tether function quite often. Is there a way for me to create a shortcut that toggles it on/off, either in the notification menu or on the home screen? I know there's one already there for hotspot, but USB performs better for me.
Also, great work so far on the ROM. Smooth and stable 100% so far. Only problem I've encountered is GPS eating a lot of battery, and that may have just been because of 1weather overusing it.
Edit:
I tried to flash 1/15 nightly over an unofficial build. It was "succeeding" in half a second with errors in the log that said it couldn't mount /system. Using TWRP something or other that I've flashed other ROMs with just fine.

Anyone tried hotspot tethering? Does it work as good as it does on cm11?

Not the latest, no. What did they change that might affect this behavior?
edit: I flashed the latest TWRP and gave it a shot, and it worked. So, really, what did they change? I wass using like 2.6 or 2.7.
Also still interested in making a USB tethering shortcut so I don't have to venture into the settings every time, but I can take that question elsewhere as well.

I just moved from the unofficial builds to the nightlies last night(to 1/15 build). I am still having issues with bluetooth audio that I was hoping might have gone away by now. Anyway in my car(Pioneer DEH-X6500BT) phone calls work just fine but when I try to play music, it will either play for half a second then cut out or not play at all. The music ticker for both youtube and google play music will continue to move, meaning the song is definitely not paused, and plugging it in to the headphone jack causes the audio to return. I have tried disconnecting and reconnecting to no avail. I was on a clean install for both builds(unofficial and official) as well. If you would like a logcat or any other information let me know and I'll try to get it.

I had that issue too on 2.7 TWRP. I updated to 2.8.4 and clean installed and the issue went away. If you don't want to clean install I would try updating TWRP first, if you haven't already, then try installing again.

can we flash this rom in XU ??

UPDATE 4:46pm 7/21/2012:
Setup:
Motorola Photon
On Verizon network
With TWRP touchscreen recovery
Running AOKP Milestone 6
32gig sd card
Flashed the 1st alpha from aokp milestone 6 without wiping anything on twrp touch screen recovery. It booted up without fc's or issues, from the first 10 minutes of using it I can tell that the camera is not working (on preview it just shows a white screen). When plugged into my laptop it only recognizes MOT (internal sd card) and not the external sd card. Tried face unlock and it just fc's (I should of know that because the camera does not work, DUH :cyclops: ) I have not messed with anything too extensively but mostly everything works! :victory:
Quick issues (there may be other issues but these are the main ones):
*Camera and video camera are NOT working
*External sd card is NOT working

Dear Jokersax, do you leave cm9 and stop developing it? I just curious, but I don't care now that you develop an even better ROM.
And what about the old issue of laggy camera? Do you know when you or someone from your team will have the needed drivers? Motorola will release the ICS OTA update only in Q4 this year, so I thought that we will have to wait till then to get the fix.
The download speed is slow, and I can't wait for it to finish. It's odd, I used to download files from your website at 800KB/s, and now the average speed is 1300KB/s. It might be my terrible ISP.
Thank you very much for your work, and thanks to your team!

downloading will be giving this a try.....thanks joker
Runs pretty good, the first thing I noticed is the camera is only 5mp and I don't have SU access right now.
Great Job Joker!
Maybe this is nit picking, but the start up animation still says Cyanogen Mod 9. It has to be Cyanogen Mod 10 cuz it definitely looks different.... just sayin. I also got a Google One time has stopped error. I have rebooted twice and haven't received it again. It must be a setup app for new phones? Tried the Google Now. Kinda cool...
Seems to be running hot. I don't know if I have that sleep of death thing people have started talking about but, just curious if anyone else has noticed it, or I'd bring it up...
Joker. As usual. Thank you. You're the reason I haven't traded in my phone... it's been in a gutter and still works better than others!

[ROM][4.3] MoKee OS Unofficial 9.18.13

As good a place as any to post this.
Pio-masaki.com is being shut down due to a Cease and Desist order sent against the host by Google and homeland security. I have no idea why, however until this is sorted out, and to avoid any possible or further legal issues, the site is down for a period of time that can be a day or forever. This includes any and all ROMs, kernels, gapps packages, for any and all devices, that were hosted on pio-masaki.com.
I apologize in advance for this as I know some ROMs are only available at pio-masaki.com, but it is out of my hands, the host has to consider their own safety, and has my 100% agreement and backing in taking down the site until the matter is resolved.
As this is a very large matter, and one that has us incredibly scared, I'm retreating from android for the time being, until I know what it was that I did that was illegal, and may return once this is cleared up and blows over.
After this is cleared up the hosting for pio-masaki.com may still remain offline as the hoster has some personal issues with me at this point and may or may not continue to host for me, should we resolve our differences it may return.
If by some chance Google or whoever sent the C&D notices this, I urge you to contact me as I was responsible for what was hosted, and would genuinely like to know what the issues are so we can get them resolved immediately.
I will be making similar postings or editings to any other ROM threads that link to pio-masaki.com.

TIPS:
CDMA vs GSM in a Global ROM
CDMA Users, visit settings > Wireless & networks > more > Mobile networks and select the following:
Network Mode = LTE/CDMA/EvDo
System select = Automatic
CDMA Subscription = RUIM/SIM
If you are having issues with CDMA, try this trick
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=45654080
GSM users, visit settings > Wireless & networks > more > Mobile networks and select the following:
Network Mode = GSM/WCDMA preferred
System select = Automatic
CDMA Subscription = RUIM/SIM
If there are issues using GSM on the Global ROM setup, I'll go back to making a GSM specific version if needed (APN settings are missing, so this may cause problems)
LANGUAGE:
The ROM is Asian, as such its native language is Chinese, this can be changed immediatly as the first screen offers you a scrolling list of available languages. This is a very international ROM, with a huge variety of languages, just scroll down or up to your preferred language and the ROM will then run in that language.

No sir, its basically a lightweight ROM with only a few additions, its actually the first ROM to appear with Listview animations that are now in every other ROM out there. They also have a mod to the recent apps list that now appears in PAC, and maybe other ROMs as well. Its based on CM10.2 and contains the mods for that, plus PIE, HALO, Listview animations and some other features tucked in there.
Cool...Thanks and Thanks on your awesome work I guess I prefer ChaOS

That's why I offer a variety of ROMs, I think I've covered every option and choice in the ROMs I've made available, feel free to enjoy whatever you want, even if i didn't make it :silly:
I've heard a lot of good things about MoKee, but I've tried one of your previous releases as well as others for different devices and everything's always been in pure Chinese without giving me the normal option to change it in initial setup (or maybe I missed it since I can't read Chinese, haha), so is this in English? I'd like to check it out in full English, but as a minimalist, I don't like having all the other (Chinese specific, useless to me) pre-configured stuff like baidu loaded up. It seems like a neat ROM to check out, but personally I'd be curious to see if anyone mods it more for global use.
Edit: I know it's not gonna be perfect, but I was wondering if this was still considered beta or is it "stable" now?

Read the second post, I addressed languages, you can run it in English it's always been an option in the setup. This ROM is the definition of a Global ROM, it has probably every language android has available as an option, and runs on CDMA and gsm carriers.
Its been stable for some time now, but with the switch to the M7 kernel and its steps backwards I've marked it alpha again, when the M7 base is back to where the DLX kernel used to be, it'll go back to beta.

MoKee got me off carbon. Running mokee on my DNA and nexus 7 now. English definitely works fine on everything except that market app that comes with it...
I got a lot of random reboots on the latest build I did with the m7 kernel. Anyone else got that or was my build a little off?

If its everytime you turn off the screen or the screen powers off, its your build. Try mine and see if it happens, if it doesn't, I can correct that for you. While mokee seems to have the dlx in their sources, it's broken so I doubt it's actually maintained by anyone that builds or uses it. I don't use their trees I use my own, got tired of correcting the same mistakes over and over again
Edit: I sent a pull request to correct that, you can see it here https://github.com/MoKee/android_device_htc_dlx/pull/4 and you can easily implement it yourself.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.

Sweet! Too bad it's not CM12 quite yet but now we have an official build.
I'm not ready to jump on CM12 yet until some more things are worked out but CM11 official is running great. So nice to be on CM again rather than stock! Thanks for your time & efforts invisiblek.
FYI: The CM updater doesn't play nice with Philz recovery, CWM is fine as expected, have not tried TWRP.
@invisiblek thanks for this, been running it since first posted (unofficial).
quick question, im working on a bug list for all roms for reference, is this just a continuance of the unofficial version? just trying to keep the list accurate.
thanks

Great to see official nightlies for the Verizon G3!! Can anyone confirm if the blank screen bug still occurs after making a call? That and Bluetooth calling were the only bugs I really had...everything else works fantastic

Big thanks @invisiblek [emoji106]
Do you want logs posted here (when obtained), or directly to you via pm?

Nothing makes me happier than people posting logs along with their bug report in the same post. Then I don't have to sit and guess "wtf was this log for again?"

I've tried to reproduce the screen on bug, but its rather difficult to do it seems. Any time I try to examine it, it doesn't happen. A log of it happening world be amazing.
In call bt audio is fixed. That was the main thing I was holding off officials for.
It doesn't happen all the time for me either...but it does happen...weird issue..I haven't played with the new nightly yet but will very soon...I just played around with the unofficial CM12 build too and it seems to happen on that too...its like the phone doesn't realize you've pulled the phone away from your head after ending a call.

First off, thanks for doing this. Can't wait to rock this. I know how to do logs, but wanted to ask about the qi charging bug. Is that something a logcat wouldn't be able to show? Or you guys know about it but at bottom of list of things to do?

I was wondering if there was a reason you chose to link to this particular gapps that's almost six months old, instead of the PAgapps that's updated every few days at least.
Running great!!!

So far after a few calls I haven't experienced the sensor issue. It happened after every call on liquid smooth. I'll give BT a try in the morning when I leave for work. Just enabled ART and so far so good. New DD for sure.
Sent from my Super Famicom
So far this is running pretty amazing! Thought I had the screen on after call bug, but I could be wrong and mistaking that for yesterday haha as I just placed a call and it seems to be working fine now. The only other issue I had (and this isn't a deal breaker, but I've seen it on here and on cm12, as well as another aosp rom I want to say so I know it's a definite issue), is that occasionally the expandable volumes panel loses its "expand" button on the right hand side, and so the only volume adjustable is the default top one. Changing the panel setting to something else and back to expandable again seemed to fix it for me, otherwise a reboot does as well, but just figured I'd note this in case no one else has. Thanks again for this! I finally got my brother to start rocking this on his phone, which is no easy task and for a nightly build today's seems real solid. Thank you so much for all your hard work @invisiblek!!!
I have to agree with ^^^ for a nightly this is a solid build. I tested BT today. First try it didn't work but on the second try all was good. Haven't had issues with the sensor during calls yet either. I was also having issues with Pandora on liquids ROM but it works fine here. That you!! I look forward to a stable CM12!!!

Please make sure you read every step in the OP and then read every step again before you flash anything. I'm not saying this to be rude, I just want you to be informed as it seems you may be a newer flasher.
1. Yes you can always go back to stock whether with a KDZ/TOT or with a nandroid backup.
2. You can flash this in any custom recovery. If I'm not mistaken we do not have CWM, we have TWRP and Philz.
Let us know if you have any other questions! =)
PS, flashing this does technicially void your warranty.
EDIT - it would appear I am, in fact, mistaken. @invisiblek has a CWM build located in the recovery folder for our device. =)

I wouldn't. Flashing a ROM is equivalent to installing a new operating system on your computer. Updating has no impact on the new ROM and you start with a clean slate.
Make sure you back up any data you want to keep and then do a clean wipe (wipe everything except external SD).

IMPORTANT INFORMATIONS
- Root is now disabled by default on CM12.1. To enable it go to Settings>Developer Options>Root access and set to Apps only or Apps and ADB.
- Even if I (Lysergic Acid) don't own an i777, I'm maintaining it officially as everything I do for my i9100 gets to the i777 too, so it's fair enough to open a thread for you guys
We'll not support users and answer questions from users which:
- Are running a custom kernel
- Have flashed mods
- Modified system files
- Didn't follow our instructions
- Are unfriendly

Hi,
I'm currently running Cyanogenmod version 11-20140402-Unofficial-i777 on my SGH-i777. I'd like to update to this Nightly build. Can I use the instructions in OP to update to this Nightly? (Just want to clarify because your OP clearly says "First Time Installation Instructions" but the process looks the same as any other update.)
CM and kernel details:
CyanogenMod version 11-20140402-Unofficial-i777
Kernel version 3.0.64-RB11-Shift-1.1
Thanks for your work on bringing CM 12.1 to the Galaxy S II!
Flashed 07032015 but stuck at cm logo.

Great work but IMO this should have never gone official for the i777. The outgoing call bug is a huge bug.
It would never have passed under Entropy/Cody.
Is there a thread on JIRA for the outgoing call bug? I couldn't find one but would like to contribute by scouring the code (and would like to see what others have done so far).
Build cm-12.1-20150704-NIGHTLY-i777 Install fine on my sgh-i777. Phone bug still there. I used Tasker to toggle the speaker on and off for incoming calls and it seemed to work ok. Build ran cool and stable for the short time I had it install. Surprised with the Cyanogen Recovery limitations, seems like it won't install zip files. Had to use Mobile Odin to flash a kernel to get CWM recovery back to restore backup file.

I thought this bug had been fixed, anyway, I don't have this problem on my i9100, that's probably related to the different mic location of the i777. Sadly without the phone I'm not the best to fix this.

CM recovery installs signed zips only.
^Yeah it's not fixed and really going to be a ***** I think.
i9100 is fine. i777 with the yamahell chip I still think is the problem. Remember Paul from the replicant project? Helped greatly but maybe not so with 5+
The i777 seems to be how many hacks can you stack on top a hack.. ie. hwc
Edit: That Dead show was gooooooooooooood. LA? My emmc was definitely repartitioned.

I'll look in the differeces of the i777 and try something, but I don't promise anything.
The OTAs are block-based in Lollipop btw, that's why it looked like a repartition, but it was not
Latest nightlies will resize the system according to your pit.

Sadly not yet, only through adb. CM recovery is very simple indeed, I think it's made for people that don't even use the recovery
Looking forward to trying this and thanks for the ROM. I wonder if the AJNewkirk mic-swap kernels would have any .ko files that would help the call bug?

Glad to see that finally make it in. I wouldn't want to have to redo that partitioning again.
Are the scripts setup not to have to reflash gapps after every upgrade yet? (it was an issue on the i9100 thread last week -- not sure if it got resolved or if with the block update there is no way to solve it).

The block-based OTAs came in to fix the gapps backup, so yes, it works
The phone runs really well on the latest nightly! Multi tasking is smoother than ever before. Unfortunately I lack the skills, but it would be great if someone (CM? @cyril279, @rogersb11, @Lysergic Acid) could re-pack the stock kernel with a custom recovery.
Edit: unbelievably solid as a rock. Thank you to all the devs over the years that have helped keep this device relevant. This latest nightly from CM is like butter on the SII...I even put the OneplusOne and the Nexus4 on the shelf and threw my sim card back into this phone for the last couple days. Loving it.
The slim kernel is essentially the cm kernel, with TWRP 2.8.7.0
So the quickest solution would be to flash:
CM
SLIM kernel
Google apps
Regarding the call-bug @Lysergic Acid, I'd ship you an i777 if you were in the states, but I fear that international shipping makes it cheaper to buy you one than ship one... Are there any particular logs that could help to identify the issue?

I don't think that a JIRA issue has been filed on this, but it deserves one, along with logs. Jira is designed to centralize and track the progress and effort of specific issues.

^I really doubt they'll ever touch it.
I still think it's the yamahell **** all over again.
OT thanks for Omni that's my dd and runs as nice as you could expect on this phone. Plus twrp. cm recovery is trash and a dealbreaker till they fix it up a bit.

BEWARE:
- Cyril's cm-kernel does NOT currently include the FPbug-fix recently added to CM kernel source.
The kernel that I'm linking to only includes CM commits up through may 2015. I just noticed that CM more recently included the FPbug fix into their source (thanks LA), and my CM kernel does NOT include that (I wasn't paying attention when I switched to the CM kernel source from OMNI). : embarrased :
I'll update and build another within the week.

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.
Features
Pure AOSP
It's pure AOSP (based on Slim and CAF)

NFC is stuck and causes a wakelock, remove NFC's APK from /system/app, so no, Android Pay does not work
And Baseband is not detected, this is a common issue with newer ROMs on the VS985, ill hunt down CM's commits for this
Probably a gapps issue, but Google Play Services refuses to work for signing in at the first boot, looking for my old gapps now, ill edit this if it was indeed because of the March 10th Gapps
Otherwise, it runs smooth as butter, keep up the good work!

I haven't seen your version of g3-common or anything but on most ROMs this winds up being what you need to do

Found some odd little issue on the Newest Build, unsure if this one applies to the previous, but the Ringer, regardless of what ringtone is set, does not ring, and Autobrightness does not work, so turning it off is the only way to set brightness, and because you're using CM device trees and kernels, you technically have the proper libs, unless those files are on CM's venders for LG :silly:

Hey, thanks for pointing out those issues, yes i am using CM kernel and device trees i guess that's the reason brightness is not working properly because even CM had that issue many users reported that, i guess its fixed.
