hey guys since im a newbie, i cant post to the dev threads and ask questions. so i hope you guys can help me out over here.
i just installed by first custom rom, the cyanogen6.1.3 as modded by rendeiro2005; amazing rom, works brilliantly.
my only problem was that facebook, (the all black fb didnt appeal to me) doesnt update and neither does launcher pro.
i have then tried to backup them up through titanium and uninstall them, hoping that market would now dl them and install succesfully. even that didnt work. i then looked through my own back ups of apps, n ran the apks for both of them on the phone, none installed.
so now m left with no fb and no launcher pro
any help would be v much appreciated.

i am new here in the forum, I would like to learn a bit how the android operating system works and to fully utilize my tablet.
My tablet is upgraded to Android 4.1.1 from oficial website and i can't use contacts because it is not an application for it, in /system/app the only application related to contacts GoogleContactsSyncAdaoter.apk v4.1-392829. Then i can't use mail applications (gmail, standard mail app) because when i try to write a new message it doesn't appear contacts. With other standard smartphones i can synchronize contacts with my google account and use it with mail apps without problems.
You know well the android operating system. How can we fix this problem?
I don't know how contacts app works (internal databases involved, other services involved...) i would like to know about it and i could test with my tablet if you help me.
I think if we find solution to this problem might help other users with this tablet.
On the official site have asked several people about this without getting any response.

Contacts.apk working again but on 4.0.4 firmware
we have installed previous firmware version 4.0.4 from yarvik and it we have now contacts.apk again, we had to install AppDrawer to create shortcut for Contacts.apk (it is hidden) and now it works ok for creating, synchronizing and managing contacts correctly.
The problem is that now we have old firmware version.
¿Do you think it could be possible save
Contacts.apk
ContactsProvider.apk
GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk
from version 4.0.4 upgrade again to version 4.1.1 and install this 3 apk after upgrading?
Do i have to save other *.apk for this to work?

after several hours searching i have access to adb.
tested other Contacts.apk, ContactsProvider.apk and GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk and received message "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped", all tests are on the following link:

Original Yarvik GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk is version 4.1-392829, size 194,268 bytes.
Which other apk are related to Contacts/People in Android version 4.1.1 for use and synchronize it completely in my tablet?
How could i use Contacts/People service in my tablet?

Hi All,
i am facing an issue in restoring whats app chats
i use HTC one x, i submitted it to the service center and i got it back after 9 days and it got updated to jelly bean.
meanwhile i was using whats app on other number ,
now when i got my phone back i restored the whats app folder which i had earlier copied to my laptop and installed whats app
but it doesnt help and it only shows group names, i tried changing the file name method but it also doesnt work, please help , how can i get my
previous whats app messages

Hello everyone,
I need your valuable help in resolving an important problem for me.
I use a Note 2 with either Stock based Custom ROM or Carbon ROM. My problem is related with Contact pics.
Issue:
Offline Contact backup (Export to SD card) doesn't backup my set Hi-Res pictures. Only crappy very low res images. In both Stock or AOSP based ROMs. (Only exception I can remember is Regius ROM by @Ees52). Neither does any backup app do that. I tried almost all.
Am I doing something wrong or there is a workaround?
Plz don't suggest Google Sync. I don't use it and wouldn't.

I finally found an app that does it and perfectly App name is BackupYourMobile.

Hi, some months ago I unistalled my gallery after the roots installation; I don't really know why but I've done it. Now I want to reinstall it, but I don't know how. Someone has some apk or something else that can help me?
