I'm rather new to this, please have patience with me.
Trying to install Cyanogenmod on my P760, I have unlocked bootloader and rooted my phone. However when I try to reboot into recovery with CWM my phone restarts and then an android robot with a red warning triangle appears. I've searched a lot for answers but unfortunately without success.
Using windiws 8.
Would be kind if someone here could tell me how I could fix this?
You have to flash a custom recovery after unlocking bootloader then you have to boot into recovery by pressing vol down home + power button... only then you can flash a rom
Sent from my LG-P760 using XDA Free mobile app
Try to install recovery again. Maybe Artas TWRP? I use it, its stable and i dont have any problems with custom roms. Here is link to Artas TWRP
artas182x-downloads.you2.pl/L9/TWRP-ALLF2FS/twrp230714.img
The problem seem to be that fastboot can't recognize my device even though I have the LG driver(s) installed. ADB devices work though.
Did you installed omap drivers if not install it

Where can I find that?
Sorry I don't have the link you can find it in the Google, search for it.
I also had the same problem as yours but things get better after installing these drivers.
I hope this will also help you.

Use fastboot to reflash the usual and x from ics. There's a thread with a link if you haven't already downloaded it.

So first off let me say that clearly i'm not any sort of expert. I was fooling around with different roms for my htc one and read somewhere that a OTA to 4.4 was available for the stock rom. After reverting to the stock rom (official release) I found that I could not install the update because of the version of TWRP I had installed. Apparently it was not current enough. Anyway I installed clockwork mod only to find out that (again) i installed an older version. Sooooo I installed the newest version or TWRP I could find aaaaannnndddd..... Bootloop. When I try to enter recovery it shows the clockworkmod Icon then reboots and stays that way until the battery dies (which is built in of course and not removable). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Well okay...
First of all head to this link and download the desired recovery image from the list (with or without TOUCH- both are equally functional) :
http: // www clockworkmod com/ rommanager
( REMOVE SPACES IN BETWEEN THE LINK TEXT)
Go to fastboot mode (from ur device):
Switch off the device, press & hold Volume down + power key simultaneously till you get a special mode.
This special mode is nothing but a Bootloader. In bootloader, select fastboot mode option (using Volume keys & power button)
Now put the recovery image which u have downloaded into the working folder of ADB.
Now Check u are in fastboot mode or not:
Code:
fastboot devices
If your device is listed with above code then enter this code in terminal:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery ----------.img
replace the ------ with your recently downloaded CWM recovery image filename i.e.recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.6-m7.img
All done...
Now Boot into recovery and Do whatever you want..!!
GL...!!

It's really easy....
Search the xda for fastboot, download this file for your system (windows or linux) - install the device-drivers (Windows only)
then plug in your mobile and reboot into bootloader... fastboot
Open terminal or Cmd - test if your mobile is connected by typing in "fastboot devices" in the path where fastboot is placed
If it doesn't say "waiting for device" you are conneced
Download the cwm recovery for your device and copy it to the path where fastboot is placed
Then type in "fastboot flash recovery *name of your downloaded recovery-file*"
Wait if the prompt is back - usually some seconds only
Done
Reboot bootloader ... start recovery ... flash your ROM ...
Done too

the big problem that the mobile isn't work it's turned off and i can't turn it on after i was updateing the recovery so any way depend on that the
mobile is turn on not working and if i tried to open mobile in recovery or updateing mode , i have got any result and mobile is still working so tell my way that not depend on the mobile is turned on
Hi
as long as I know mobiles there is no way to flash anything without booting up to fastboot. You need energy to do something with it. Your car won't run without fuel too!
But did you check your battery? You might charge it with a different wire or/and charger (yours might be defect)!
As soon as this is checked you will know if your mobile is dead or still alive.
You have to know: to flash the wrong recovery usually cannot break your device. I dit it twice and my HOX still is running properly.
This is why I ask for your battery - you need more than 30% battery life for a secure flash!
If it works you have to boot up into bootloader and check the Code name of your device. Only with this you can find and flash the matching recovery and ROM for your device.
If nothing works you might give it to a professional for a try to repair it.

u should flash the stock rom using odin and booting ur phone in download mode which can be done by holding the home and vol dwn buttons and powering up the phone.
this way also not working
Uhhh that sounds really bad - my ideas are off. You should search the forum for "unbrick device". As soon as you installed an unmatching ROM, your boot.img is the wrong now. That's a piont where I cannot help. Too less experiences.
Sorry

Yes I am talking about recovery mode. I have rooted my phone through Kongo root app and want to install custom recovery
The easiest way is to press power button + volume down or up, but it's not working for me
Actually I rooted my phone through kingo app, but after rooting it's do not go to recovery mode. (sorry my English is so much weak)

I think that won't work on most sony devices because of no RECOVERY partition (unless you use the special sony open bootloader which i doubt kashif0938 is using).
@kashif0938 since you already rooted your device what you need to do is to connect the phone to your pc and install Nut's XZDR recoveries:
link and instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
After a successful XZDR install you just have to press vol down when the phone led blinks during boot and twrp will start.

It's possible i am wrong because my z2 has an unlockable bootloader and i can't test any other recovery, only XZDR works on locked bootloader and that's what i always used. If the bootloader is unlocked that situation might be different, i'm not sure so i'm not gonna argue
But xzdr works on unlocked bootloader and stock kernel too, he can still try that if he wants.
Greetings. I was trying to root my Nexus 9 and was hoping to make it faster by flashing a custom ROM on it (PureNexus).
I failed with everyone now it's stuck on a bootloop (Google logo), and when I try the Power + Vol Down button and go to Recovery (OpenRecoveryScript loop on TWRP 3.0 happens)
I have no idea on what to do first, I've tried installing ADB drivers but I can't seem to get into Recovery long enough to install fastboot + adb.
I was using Nexus Root Toolkit when this all happened. Any professional people that root here? Mind helping me with my problem? Thank you!
I'm no dev but you need to boot power+vol up for fastboot
And extract the factory image from google and press the flashall.bat/sh (win/Linux) to get back to stock.

I did this step by step and I fixed it! Though I want to flash to Pure Nexus. Do you have any tips?
You'll want to flash the latest twrp using fastboot. (Google teamwin nexus 9) Then download pure nexus Rom and gapps of your choice to your phone. Boot into twrp and do a wipe first. The default wipe is fine. Flash the rom and then flash gapps. Also, read the faq on the pure nexus thread. I believe there is something there about the vendor.img

You can flash it using TWRP
