Try using another USB port. It usually works when you do that.

[Q] Help Help : Cherry Mobile Flare s100/ Karbonn a9+

I have Karbonn a9+. I Updated to JB. After some days, Its prompt "Software Update" in My Android about 5.7MB.It's Downloaded... but When I trying to click on UPDATE NOW, Its prompt to restart..... and it Restart to CWM/TeamWin (Which i install). Actually Stock Recovery is not available for me because my phone only charge while connecting USB. I Think may be socket problem or else.. [Q] odin does not recognise device

odin is not recognising Galaxy s2.what can I do? I nead to install a custom rom because my stock rom is damaged and recovery is not reading external SD.
Did you update usb drivers? If not, download them from the Samsung web site. Which OS are you using?
Did you try another USB cable or another USB port? And also the drivers.

[Q] How to install a custom recovery with a broken usb port?

Hi,
I have s3 i9300, usb port is broken, I use an external battery charger for the battery.
I want to install a custom rom, I can transfer files no problem over the network in file manager.
is it possible to install a custom recovery and root phone without functional usb port?
do I need to root the phone to install custom rom?
what are my options?
thank you.
Fix the usb port, you can't install a recovery or root without using odin.
