CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 5.0.x (Lollipop), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
Code:

* We are not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM

*/
CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. You will need to provide your own Google Applications package (gapps). CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github Repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. Your changelog is whatever was merged into gerrit.
Instructions:
1. First time flashing CyanogenMod 12.0 your device, or coming from another ROM?
2. Download the zip(s).
3. Install a compatible Recovery
4. Perform a NANDroid backup of your current ROM (Optional)
5. Wipe data & cache partitions of your device
6. Flash CyanogenMod.
7. Optional: Install the Google Apps addon package.

PA GAPPS for Android 5.0.x here.
Bugreport: On nightlies, you don't have to report bugs here, if you wish to, you can do that here.
The CyanogenMod team would like to thank everyone involved in helping with testing, coding, debugging & documenting! Enjoy.
PS: I didn't built that rom, I don't even know if I can do that here, otherwise I will close this thread again. Please tell me that! Thanks

I think this is, because there are just some nightlies out and not much more. They will first bring a great, stable Cm12 and than some gapps
Yes, pa is more or less zhe same, I always used them.

Does it work good with this one you have at the moment? If yes, let it like it is. If you have some problems, flash the PA gapps. But yours should also be OK
so far so good, I'll leave with gapps from basketbuild.. thank you!
Been running this all day and only noticed a glitch in Bluetooth. It does connect but the sounds come out fuzzy and off.. Pretty solid though for so early. Using PA gapps

How do I allocate more space in my system partition for the full version of gapps? I'm getting an error when I try to flash it.
"Double tap to wake" function not available, like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YNy8QC5TbTI
it will be on later or not?

Assuming you're using pa gapps, you have to set a .gapps-config or gapps-config.txt with a few exclusions
TKruzze said:
You can choose either the apps you WANT installed (called an Include Install) or the apps you DON'T WANT installed (default behavior - called an Exclude Install). To select ONLY the apps you WANT installed, add the word Include to your gapps-config file. The installer will now install ONLY THOSE APPS you have listed in your gapps-config. (Since the default behavior is an Exclude install, it is not necessary to add Exclude to your gapps-config). Stock/AOSP removals (see below) function the same whether you're doing an Include or Exclude Install.
Type the name of the application you want to Exclude/Include inside your gapps-config file.
Valid options are:
Books - To Exclude/Include Google Play Books [Stock/Full]
CalendarGoogle - To Exclude/Include Google Calendar [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
CalSync - To Exclude/Include Google Calendar Sync (installed by default when Google Calendar is NOT being installed) [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro/Nano/Pico]
CameraGoogle - To Exclude/Include Google Camera [Stock]
Chrome - To Exclude/Include Chrome Browser [Stock/Full]
CloudPrint - To Exclude/Include Cloud Print [Stock/Full]
Docs - To Exclude/Include Google Docs [Stock/Full]
Drive - To Exclude/Include Google Drive [Stock/Full]
Ears - To Exclude/Include Sound Search for Google Play [Stock/Full]
Earth - To Exclude/Include Google Earth [Stock/Full]
ExchangeGoogle - To Exclude/Include Google Exchange Services [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
FaceUnlock - To Exclude/Include FaceUnlock [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
Gmail - To Exclude/Include Gmail [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
GoogleNow - To Exclude/Include Google Now Launcher [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
GooglePlus - To Exclude/Include Google+ [Stock/Full/Mini]
GoogleTTS - To Exclude/Include Google Text-to-Speech [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro]
Hangouts - To Exclude/Include Hangouts [Stock/Full/Mini]
Keep - To Exclude/Include Google Keep [Stock/Full]
KeyboardGoogle - To Exclude/Include Google Keyboard [Stock]
Maps - To Exclude/Include Maps [Stock/Full/Mini]
Messenger - To Exclude/Include Messenger (not installed on tablet devices) [Stock/Full]
Movies - To Exclude/Include Google Play Movies & TV [Stock/Full]
Music - To Exclude/Include Google Play Music [Stock/Full]
NewsStand - To Exclude/Include Google Play Newsstand [Stock/Full]
NewsWidget - To Exclude/Include Google News & Weather [Stock/Full]
PlayGames - To Exclude/Include Google Play Games [Stock/Full]
Sheets - To Exclude/Include Google Sheets [Stock]
Slides - To Exclude/Include Google Slides [Stock]
Search - To Exclude [HIGHLIGHT]BOTH[/HIGHLIGHT] Google Search [HIGHLIGHT]AND[/HIGHLIGHT] Google Now Launcher [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro/Nano]
OR
Search - To Include Google Search [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro/Nano]
Speech - To Exclude/Include off-line Speech files (Required for off-line "Okay Google" support) [Stock/Full/Mini/Micro/Nano]
Street - To Exclude/Include Street View on Google Maps [Stock/Full/Mini]
Sunbeam - To Exclude/Include the Sun Beam Live Wallpaper [Stock/Full]
Talkback - To Exclude/Include TalkBack [Stock/Full]
Wallet - To Exclude/Include Google Wallet [Stock/Full]
YouTube - To Exclude/Include YouTube [Stock/Full/Mini]
To manage the removal of certain Stock/AOSP applications type the name of the application inside your gapps-config file.
Valid options are:
Browser - To remove the Stock/AOSP Browser
CalendarStock - To remove the Stock/AOSP Calendar Application (automatically removed when Google Calendar is installed)
CameraStock - To remove the Stock/AOSP Camera Application (automatically removed when Google Camera is installed)
Email - To remove the Stock/AOSP Email Application
ExchangeStock - To remove the Stock/AOSP Exchange Services (automatically removed when Google Exchange Services is installed)
Gallery - To remove the Stock/AOSP Gallery
KeyboardStock - To remove the Stock/AOSP Keyboard (automatically removed when Google Keyboard is installed)
Launcher - To remove the Stock/AOSP Launcher(s)
MMS - To remove the Stock/AOSP SMS Application
PicoTTS - To remove the Stock/AOSP PicoTTS
Studio - To remove the Stock/AOSP Movie Studio Application
The information below pertains ONLY to Google Stock GApps packages.
To bypass the default removal of certain Stock/AOSP apps when using Google Stock GApps, type the name of the app preceded by a '+' as shown below:+Browser - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Browser [Stock ONLY]
+Email - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Email Application [Stock ONLY]
+Gallery - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Gallery Application [Stock ONLY]
+Launcher - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP Launcher(s) [Stock ONLY]
+MMS - To bypass the automatic removal of Stock/AOSP SMS Application [Stock ONLY]
+PicoTTS - To bypass the automatic removal of the Stock/AOSP PicoTTS app [Stock ONLY]
NOTE: The installer will not automatically remove the Stock/AOSP application if its Google counterpart is NOT being installed. For example, if you are NOT installing Hangouts or Messenger, then the Stock MMS app will NOT automatically be removed (although you can still force its removal by adding it to your gapps-config). The same is true for Google Camera|Stock Camera, Gmail|Stock Email, Google Keyboard|Stock Keyboard, Google+|Gallery, Google Now Launcher|Stock Launcher, GoogleTTS|PicoTTS, and Google Calendar|Stock Calendar.

No, it isn't caused by that. I also don't receive any ota updates on my S4, so I think, they are not ready at the moment..

Sweet ROM!!!

is it necesary to flash supersu in recovery like some of the other lollipop roms?
edit: looks like the answer is no.
I finally got my daily driver
This ROM is so stable. Calls work, music plays, camera works, zero reboots, great battery life, mobile data works, mobile hotspot works, etc. Thanks Tony for working on this! I have not had any issues yet after nearly 5 hours of continuous usage.
This rom is going strong. I haven't had any major issues yet. Memory usage seems to be a little weird (if i am listening to music and doing other things the music player just stops playing). the AudioFX app has crashed a few times as well out of the blue. Thats about it. It seems VERY stable so far nice work!

Flash Gapps from here and you will have the playstore.
I did but..
I flashed gapps from that link para playstore doesn't appear, just show play music, google+, play movies, play games. Please help
No Play Store
I have the same issue here; no Play Store. I have tried the suggested Gapps as well as the full package from the Slim build.
Getting "Get Google Play Services" message when trying to use google apps.
I have tried installing the Play Store APK manually. I get a message saying "can't open file". Yes, unknown sources option is enabled.
Otherwise, superb ROM! Thank you!!
Nik
Did you guys follow the install instructions? I flashed the rom and booted up. Then went back to recovery and flashed the Banks gapps in the OP and rebooted....and I had Playstore with NP.

Not really. At least on my Gnote it absolutely will not install Google Play Service or Google Play Store, nor will it let me set up my account through the GMail app. I can set up other email pop3 or imap addresses but not gmail addresses. I've tried several different GAPPS packages, I've signed into the play store from the web browser to try to install stuff (e.g., Play Services and Play Store), I've found online and downloaded APK's for Play Services and Play Store; nothing works. Sometimes it says it works, for instance if I install from the Web based play store, when in actuality, it hasn't. Other efforts will explicitly fail like trying to install the APK's; and yes, I have unknown sources ticked as well as installed Mr. G's TWRP 2.8.3.0. I give up. None of these Lollipop ports work on the i717; at least not on mine. All of them are deficient in different but important ways. No sound on SlimLP, not even a ringer. CM12 Unofficial has no ringer and very buggy browsing with all browsers (Chrome, Chrome Beta, Dolphin). Finally, Candy5 is orphaned in a different universe from the Android ecosystem. It's knocking on the door but no one is answering. I'm worn out

Actually, that was the second one I tried and it didn't work for Candy5. It worked for SlimLP though. Some one tried a PA Gapps package and it apparently worked. I'm going to try that next and see what happens.

and mention @Myself5 in op as it's his great work, and if he doesn't authorise usage of his kernel, take off dl links and use my other branch wich is also kexec hardboot patched, btw u can mention its multirom ready
keep up da good work!
try this tomorow
How about the dual
Does this rom work for the dual 6633
Works perfect!!!Thanks. Just the loudspeaker bug that is already fix in CM. Clean and fast. And no random reboots for the moment with M5 kernel.
Guys, Any screenshots?
Xperia Z3 D6603
does this rom support app to sd or extenal sd swap or obb to sd?
Good rom, thank you
Great ROM, flashed yesterday to my Z3.
The only thing I found is that it seems to have issues at incoming calls. It's not always possible to pickup the call because of non responding display (on touch).
Many thanks!
Tom
Same issue here and of course in CM.

Update: after I made a complete wipe/factory reset via recovery, answering incoming calls work fine now. Made several tests with locked screen (w/wo PIN, etc.) but can't reproduce the problem anymore.
Today I had the same problem in CM. I performed a clean install and It worker again. But I had again the same problem. So trying different options I could reproduce the bug. And the double tap to wake up the device is to blame. If you deactivate that option.... Then... Everything works properly..... Don't know why...

Welcome to PixeLineage, a slim Lineage based ROM with added Pixel flavour.
My goal is to stay as close to Lineage as possible, with just some simple useful changes. This won't be a fully featured ROM by any means.
Current changes compared to stock Lineage in short form (full changelog in the second post):
Pixel themed, of course
More frequent builds
Pre-rooted with Magisk (Don't enable Magisk busybox to avoid losing root)
AptX & AptX HD
Useful added features here and there
Download:AndroidFileHost
WARNING: You are not able to cross flash between official LineageOS and unofficial ROMs based on LineageOS. A clean flash is required if you're coming from official builds.
Installation, assuming bootloader is unlocked and you got an up to date recovery:
Copy Gapps and ROM onto your device
Boot into Recovery
(If coming from another ROM) Perform factory reset
Flash ROM and Gapps
Reboot
Huge thanks to all Lineage contributors, topjohnwu, PureNexus, idprophecy, crDroid and anyone I've missed here. Without them this ROM wouldn't be here

That's my current one. Stock package replaces the AOSP app if you install the google one (For example if you install chrome, the stock AOSP browser will be deleted).
Apps with # in front of them are not going to be installed.
Will probably have a look at the Pixel icons and sounds tomorrow as I don't have so much time today.
So its finally here, will test this out Tomorrow and see how everything goes.
Thanks for another new rom for bacon!
Btw,gdrive or AFH links would be much better than mega.
Thank you for the Rom. But when installed dont see the Pixel launcher at all. The drawer box from bottom is missing.

You need to install a gapps package which includes Pixel launcher or install it from playstore and move it to the /system partition to get google now working (I recommend root essentials which is also on google play)
New build uploaded, in the mega folder for now.
I requested upload permissions on AFH and need to wait for approval.
Changes:
- Pixel bootanimation

I guess there are several apps(root) on play store which can do that.

@om22 ,you can use this to add round pixel icons to your rom,
https://github.com/idprophecy/android_vendor_cm/commit/daa0a29dd72c687ab2ffed3f9c36bd3e8d5e2c9d
Yes but built in just seems better to me. It's not like it's some crazy mod or wacky theme or something like that. It's a very useful tool.

Which wakelocks do you block for example? IMO wakelocks are there for a reason so everything works as it should. I'll focus on the things that I have planned first and if there are more requests I may have a look at it although I'm not a fan of it.
Maybe it would be enough for you to use the privacy guard and block the run in background or keep awake permission of the problematic app.
FINALLY a Pixel ROM for the bacon. I've been scouvering the internet for one. Is it stable, and can you please add some screenshots? I'll flash it rightaway.
I can also make a video review of it on my YT channel

Hey there fellow bacon lovers :victory:
Introduction:
As I couldn't find the perfect ROM for myself I just decided to start my own Lineage builds. My goal is to stay as close to Lineage as possible, with just the things added that I find useful.
So that currently means:
More frequent builds than official Lineage
Included AptX support and pre-rooted with Magisk (passes SafetyNet)
Pixel themed, of course
I am not a good developer by any means. Just tought myself how to use git and got basic skills from school. If you have any feature requests that seem useful, I may have a look at it and see if I can include it. So please be kind to me, as I am also using this project to learn more stuff
Downloads and Installation:
Download folder:Mega.nz
WARNING: You are not able to cross flash between official LineageOS and unofficial ROMs based on LineageOS. A clean flash is required if you're coming from official builds.
I recommend to use a stock gapps package with a gapps-config file on your sdcard for full Pixel experience:
OpenGapps Advanced-Features-and-Options
Installation, assuming bootloader is unlocked and you got an up to date recovery:
Copy Gapps and ROM onto your device
Boot into Recovery
(If coming from another ROM) Perform factory reset
Flash ROM and Gapps
Reboot

It's as stable as LineageOS and screenshots are already there (Screenshots tab on top of the site). You can make a review if you want but I didn't do anything special it's just LineageOS rethemed to the Pixel style. I don't deserve any special attention
Thanks for this, I like it minimal. My feature requests would be:
*pixel style navbar (I don't care about the animations, just the themed buttons hehe)
*easy toggles for WiFi, data, location (very useful if you ask me but then again, not that important)
*apk signature spoofing
*quick unlock option for PIN secure lockscreen
Later on I'll try to find the appropriate commits, I guess most of them could be imported from idprophecy's github history heheh

*easy toggles for WiFi, data, location: I would like to keep the stock Lineage behavior here.
*apk signature spoofing: I'm really not a fan of it. Have to say no for now. What do you need this for? MicroGMS?
*quick unlock: also added to the list

Good too see you master. Now only phone needs to arrive
Good Job!
Why 'only' Legacy Substratum and not full OMS though ?
Is it a technical limitation or something else?
Keep up the good work
Can I assume the ROM has the "security issues" fixed? (So the tin foil hatters can flash in peace)

Android experience relies heavily on Google's Play Services. The microG project creates an alternative to installing Gapps, which install and execute closed-source blobs on our phones. MicroG however requires a patch called "signature spoofing", which allows microG's apps to spoof themselves as Google Apps. LineageOS currently does not include the patch due to different opinions among the developers.
This makes microG installation difficult on LineageOS and other ROMs. Our ROM is a fork of LineageOS with just the necessary changes to have microG built-in. We ship weekly builds for all the LineageOS supported devices..
FAQ
Why all of this? Isn't OpenGApps free software?
Yes and no, the name "OpenGApps" is misleading. While OpenGApps uses free software to retrieve and bundle the GApps, the apps themselves are not free software, they are in fact the same Google Apps you find on a new phone.
Why should I use microG instead of the standard Google Play Services?
First of all, freedom. I can't explain here why free software is so important (this is a FAQ, not a 200 pages manual), but if you're interested you can start by reading this.
Second, the Play Services are very expensive in terms of resources, they drain lots of battery and they use lots of space, while microG requires much less resources. To give you an idea, the smallest possible package of OpenGApps ("Pico Package") on ARM 7.1 is ~125 MB, while the full microG suite (GmsCore, GsfProxy, FakeStore, MozillaNlpBackend and NominatimNlpBackend) is ~4 MB.
Isn't Android free software? Can't I just install LineageOS without both GApps and microG?
Android is based on the AOSP project, which is free software. However many common features are handled by the proprietary GApps, generally by the Google Play Services. You can use LineageOS without GApps/microG, but you will probably miss something. In particular, you won't have the:
network localization services, which means that you can only use the GPS for the positioning
Google Cloud Messaging, so you won't receive any push notification for any app that relies on it
the Maps API, which means that any app that uses Google Maps through the Maps API will probably crash
With microG these services (and many others) are reimplemented.
Is LineageOS for microG completely free software?
Unfortunately no, like LineageOS it still has some non-free components. See the Replicant project for more informations.
Which is the current status of microG? Which APIs are already implemented?
See here.
Why do we need a custom build of LineageOS to have microG? Can't I install microG on the official LineageOS?
MicroG requires a patch called "signature spoofing", which allows the microG's apps to spoof themselves as Google Apps. LineageOS' developers refused (multiple times) to include the patch, forcing us to fork their project.
Wait, on their FAQ page I see that they don't want to include the patch for security reasons. Is this ROM unsafe?
No. LineageOS' developers decided not to include this patch for various reasons.
The signature spoofing could be an unsafe feature only if the user blindly gives any permission to any app, as this permission can't be obtained automatically by the apps.
Moreover, to further strengthen the security of our ROM, we modified the signature spoofing permission so that only system privileged apps can obtain it, and no security threat is posed to our users.
Do you use test keys?
Heck, no! We sign all our builds with our own private keys.
Do you offer OTA updates?
Yes, once a week.
Do you offer delta updates?
Not currently, but it can be done if there's real demand.
Can I install apps from the Play Store on this ROM?
F-Droid is included in our ROM, so you can freely download all the FOSS apps on their repositories.
However, if you need apps which are available only on the Play Store, you're free to host your personal instance of PlayMaker (see this demo) or GPlayWeb and connect it to your F-Droid client, Playmaker will let you download apps from the Play Store and install them via F-Droid. Another solution is to use a local app, like Yalp Store.
Do I have to enable "Unknown sources" to install apps in F-Droid?
Our ROM includes "F-Droid Privileged Extension", which allows F-Droid to install and update apps without the need of user interaction or the unsafe "Unknown sources" option.
Can you add support for my device? It is officially supported by LineageOS
We already build LineageOS for microG for every device supported by LineageOS. Find your device in our Downloads page!
Can you add support for my device? It is not supported by LineageOS though...
No, I'm sorry.
I don't trust your build, I want to build it myself!
No problem! Our builds are done with this Docker image, feel free to build it yourself.
I am running a custom build of LineageOS, but yours is way cooler! How can I migrate to it without losing my data?
Replace the LineageOS official keys in our migration ZIP with your keys (or follow the suggestions in the LineageOS migration guide).
Post-install
First, open the "microG Settings" app and check if everything is OK in the "Self-Check" section; you will probably have to give microG some permissions, like location and file access. The UnifiedNlp section will have some issues: that's normal, we haven't configured it yet.
UnifiedNlp
UnifiedNlp is the microG Network Location Provider, which provides the current location of the device without the use of the GPS. While Google's NLP can only use Google's servers for positioning, UnifiedNlp obtains the geolocation through different plugins, which interface to different services.
By default there are two plugins installed:
MozillaNlpBackend, which uses the Mozilla Location Service (online)
NominatimNlpBackend, which uses MapQuest's Nominatim service (based on OpenStreetMap) for geocoding (online)
If you want to use these plugins, go to microG Settings -> UnifiedNlp Settings, configure and enable both.
If you instead want different plugins (like the LocalGsmNlpBackend, which uses a local offline database of the GSM towers to obtain the location) you can download them in F-Droid and enable them in the same way.
Reboot and check whether UnifiedNlp is correctly set up in the "Self-Check" section of the "microG Settings" app.
F-Droid
You should add microG's repository to F-Droid, so that you can easily update microG's packages. On your device, follow this link and open microG's F-Droid link in F-Droid (or scan the QR code) to add the repository.
Moreover, you have the F-Droid Privileged Extension installed by default, why not use it? To make a good use of it go to the F-Droid Settings and enable auto updates.
Google Cloud Messaging
Many apps rely on the Google Cloud Messaging, a Google proprietary system to push notifications to your device. This feature is implemented in microG but, as not every user requires it, is disabled by default. If you need it, enable the "Google Device registration" and the "Google Cloud Messaging" features in the "microG Settings" app.
Weather service
If you want the weather features of LineageOS (like in the lock screen or in the cLock widget) you have to download a weather provider from here. Choose your favorite one, install it and configure it in cLock (or in Settings → Apps → Gear icon → Weather).
If you don't want to enable "Unknown sources" you can also import the PlayMaker demo repository in F-Droid (by adding this URL to F-Droid) and download it from there.
SU (root)
Our ROM doesn't include root by default for security reasons, but you can easily install it: go here, download the appropriate ZIP and install it from the recovery.

I think not
I've been using this ROM for the past 4 months and I love it. I don't think I had any big issues. The only complain I have is that the camera recording sound is too low. I don't know if that's only me or someone else is also experiencing this. And I've run into couple of blue screens, but again not sure if that's magisk(I used to see lots of them after upgrading to beta) or ROM's fault. So far I've had better experience than with any ROM I've tried before. Thanks for your work! Are u going to update it anytime soon?
I can not configure it because it does not accept my google account.....help

Nope. It's microg version, I have checked it today. Microg needs to be updated, but in overall this rom is pretty fast.
