[Q] HTC One occasionally kicks me out of Wifi - T-Mobile HTC One (M7)

After an update by T-Mobile to fix no audio in calls, my One started to occaisionally kick me out of the internet. Turning off wifi and then turning it back on did fix the issue. However, after a couple days, my phone starts to kick me out again. I need a way to permanently fix this issue without rooting as I do not wish to mod the phone and it annoys the crap out of me!

[Q] 3g hiccup?

I'm having some strange 3g hiccups lately. I'll elaborate.
sometimes while browsing etc the phone will hang on 3g connections (eg does not even resolve DNS). the data connection icon keeps cycling the 3g and H symbols; at each new symbol switch the upload and download arrows seem to 'do something' for some instants then they fail and start the cycle all over again. I don't even seem to find a way to resolve the issue as putting the phone in airplane mode for some time does not help, and neither disabling 3g networks for a couple minutes. I also tried a reboot which did not help. The only working solution seems to be patiently wait till it works again.
I would not swear on this but I think this issue started when I flashed stock 360. I am however 100% sure that this was not happening, say, a couple months ago.
I am not even sure there is a problem with the phone, there might as well be some problems with the carrier.
anyone experienced anything similar?

[Q] Not receiving notifications when on WiFi, and Locations not updating correctly.

This issue started before rooting the phone. I noticed it while I was away this weekend. I was at a friends place and he lives in an area with no cell coverage, so I switched to Airplane Mode and then turned on WiFi. After a few hours, I noticed that I was getting no notifications from Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, etc. I rebooted the phone... all was well.
Last night, same exact thing happened at home, but before I rebooted the phone, all the notifications started working again. Is this related to the WiFi issues I have been hearing about with this phone? It showed that it was connected the whole time. I have a Linksys E3200 at home... I am unsure what my friend had at his place. This happens with the screen on and when off... so it is not that.
Also after my trip this weekend, my location was not updating correctly with GPS off (and the other two options still on). When it was off, my phone thought I was still in Peoria, IL (I live in Chicago). I would turn GPS on... updated me to Chicago fine (even without a GPS lock). Turn GPS back off.. it threw me back into Peoria. What gives? Again a reboot solved the issue.. but sheesh.
Again, I am just rooted at this point. Still on stock. I am hoping I can find a ROM that will fix these issues.
Really? I am the only person having this issue?

[Q] CM7 Radio dying

running CM7.2 with glitch kernel and whenever i'm on 3G, the connection stays strong for a long time. when i get on wifi, it seems to turn itself off. i'll try and get a logcat, but has anyone else had this issue? is there a fix or is that just the way cm7 is, because it's kind of annoying
what seems to work for me temporarily is disabling and re-enabling wifi but i have to do that like every time i unlock my phone. kinda silly imo

[Q] Virgin Prepaid Kyocera Event - WiFi phone

Radio Shack had this phone on sale for $14 cash this weekend, I picked up a couple of them to setup to use for WiFi text/music/YouTube phones for my kids.
I have rooted them and now just want to get rid of the Virgin Mobile automatic profile update that attempts to happen when I power on the phone. If possible, I would like to permanently disable the cellular data/voice modem as well leaving WiFi enabled.
Anyone know what app I should disable/remove through titanium backup to do this?
I have absolutely no intention of ever activating these phones for traditional cell service. They will strictly be used as WiFi android devices. Basically a cheapo alternative to an iPod.
I have set the phone for airplane mode and then enabled WiFi to prevent them from making calls, this is a reasonable solution but they could turn on the cell radio and start trying to activate, although they wouldn't get far as they don't have a way to provide payment anyway.
Problem is their mother isn't the brightest and when they are away at mom's, I would like to be able to text them and not be on the phone with her troubleshooting them constantly.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you
> just want to get rid of the Virgin Mobile automatic profile update that attempts to happen when I power on the phone.
1) Turn on Airplane mode with power button. 2) wait 10 seconds, 3) turn on WiFi
Should stop this. You still get a message on bootup, but it will NOT cycle off/on WiFi like it doesn't if you don't turn on airplane mode.

Wifi calling notifications make me crazy!

Hi People, I activated wifi calling and everything works fine. The only problem I have is that everytime the screen switch on, I get a annoying notification telling me the wifi calling is on.
It is possible to switch off the notication?
Thx for help
For me it was even worse...
At my work when i walked from one side of the building to the other side, i got a notification.
Even with the screen off. This happened about 50 times a day and drove me nuts!
The weird thing is that i have really strong 4g reception on that location.
I ended up disabling Wifi calling.
