Self explanatory title.
I'm choosing a good protection case for LG that work with the LG WCD-100 charger.
I almost buy the Spigen Slim Armor, but then i read that it doesn't work it.
Can you indicate a good option to me??

Its not a WiFi charger its a qi charger. The total distance that qi is rated for is 7mm so between the back of the phone, case and charger that's the maximum it can charge through going off the qi standard.

I want to choose something beautiful and with strong protection, and with working qi charger

No problem, I know it's hard to measure and know how far the qi coil is from the phone, so if the slim armor is too thick the odds are you will need a thinner protective case that will hold up just as well.

And i dont know if im wrong,but what i see is that these cases from LG arent real cases, just back covers to chamge the original back cover (protecting the battery) with a more rugged back cover with qi support on it.
Im looking for a transparent case like the spigen ultra hybrid
The only thing I dont like about that case is the antena cutout.
Do you think this cheap one will protect the phone any good compared to the spigen?

I have the supcase and love it. Fit is perfect and it looks and feels great. Highly recommend this one.

I have the Supcase Beetle. It doesn't make the phone much bigger and it does not block wireless charging. This us the first phone I have had with wireless charging and I love it.

I got this Ballistic Clear Case.
I also have the supcase. It's translucent, not transparent, if that matters to you. You don't really see the full beauty of the phone through it, but you do kind of see through to the back.
Wireless charging works fine with it.

I've got the Supcase as well (I have the white phone and got the grey/clear case). So far, I like it a lot. Wireless charging works through it, just barely; it's almost too thick, so you have to be careful how you position your phone to avoid the "slow charge" warning.
The only issue I have with it is the weight; it's heavy enough that my Infinniapps magnetic car mount doesn't work with it. I could have moved the magnet to between the case and phone and it probably would have been fine, but then the plate would have blocked NFC or Qi. I just went and bought a different mount unit instead with clamps instead of magnets (this one) - the reason I went with magnets was because of the clamps hitting the buttons on the sides, and since the G3 doesn't have those it should be fine.
Let's talk about cases and wireless changing - what works and what doesn't:
For example
Works
Generic charging back and cheap gel case works with Tylt charger
Generic charging back and cheap gel case works with LG hockey puck charger
Otterbox defender works with the tylt vu and qi sticker
Nillkin bumper case works with the Tylt wireless charger
Slim Armor works with the Tylt Vu
Qi sticker chip with generic eBay hockey puck (Powerbot clone) and it charges with Seidio Surface
Qi sticker (from GB) on OEM backing with Quick Circle Case (without the built in inductive) works on both the Tylt Vu as well as the LG WCP-300 puck.
Ringke slim case and with the 3 Coil wireless pad+original LG USB cable+2A Samsung charger (links in post #21)

You forgot about the Qi sticker chips for those who purchased.
I have a Qi sticker chip with generic eBay hockey puck (Powerbot clone) and it charges with Seidio Surface.
Overall, I think wireless charging will work with any case so as long there is no interference such as magnets or something.
My otterbox defender works with the tylt vu and qi sticker

My slim armor DIDNT work with Nokia Dt910. Had the on off issue. Ordered a lg wcd100 will see what happens.
EDIT : forgot to add that i got the slow charging message when using the case.
I have a 3rd party quick circle case with wireless charging I got off of Ebay and ordered the WCD-100. Although it worked I kept

problems with that one when I get it then I'll know it's the case that's the issue.
This thread will be hard to follow just like the "What wireless charger works best with the G3" thread. I had to read that thread over and over. lol A list in the OP would be nice but a little time consuming to make I guess.

Doesn't matter if you use no case, the Nokia DT910 will do that with this phone.

Maybe the OP also needs to add "a case and charger might work for someone and not another person. I guess depending on the sticker/placement".

I apologize for not updating the first thread within microseconds of someone posting - sheesh.
In order to make this thread worthwhile, we really need more information on some of the more obscure combinations. Stickers, for example, can come from multiple vendors and each may be a different quality. I'd suggest adding a link for no-name products. I'll continue to update the first post every couple of days for a while until we have a good representation of products.
I am using this OEM rear plate.
I am also using the Best Buy Insignia TPU case.
The charger is the Tylt Vu.
The Tylt works fine without the case on the phone but has trouble with this case.
Slim Armor works with the Qi sticker and the Amazon Cheotech charger....

It was a joke. Calm down. And my comment about the Seidio was because you updated the original post with stuff that was posted after mine and thought you missed it.
As for the Qi sticker chips, there's only one source that makes them but obviously sold by many others.
Just got my official LG qi charger WCD-100. I really like it, it's stable, and charges quite fast for qi. I got it for a pretty good deal so I don't mind and this is my 3rd qi charger that i currently have and by far the best one. It's really nice because I can't place my phone on it the wrong way. You just put it on and you're done! No alignment bs like on my other ones.
Qi sticker (from GB) on OEM backing with Quick Circle Case (without the built in inductive) works on both the Tylt Vu as well as the LG WCP-300 puck.
So a while back I ordered two moto stands because they were on sale. I hardly use one of them so I decided to modify one.
This is what I came up with because I had been wanting a qi wireless stand. It was a lot easier than I thought.
Took apart one of the stands. Under the pad are just four lil screws, then just clipped off a couple of tabs so that it can lay flat on the back of the qi charger.
I didnt want to use super glue to stick them together, then I remembered I had some adhesive for cell phone screens and that stuff is strong, for being super thin (i think 1/16)
Here are some pics. Works awesome and looks good.

I might try this with mine, I mainly use it for holding my phone when I do work but this is a good idea.

With this setup, it only charges while it's standing up. I wanted it to charge both ways standing and laying on the side. But now I like that I can lay it on its side after its done charging, without it continuing to charge.

Yeah I might see if I can't change the position of the charging pad a bit so I can charge it on its side. I'd like to use it as an alarm clock type dock.

It's possible, the charger would just need to be lower. Or if you had one of those rectangular ones that have like 3 coils. I think theres one on amazon that I saw thats the same thickness as this round one.

I dont think it would make a difference with that charger, I tried it that way and it wouldn't charge the phone sideways.
Just got a nexus 6 and i see that this stand is on sale.
Does the charging pad work with the N6 in that position?
I like the subtle plug for FKupdater.
How well does it work with a case? My nexus 4 qi charger works while the other I got for my Sammie doesn't. The nexus charger is just very difficult to find the sweet spot and get it to stay there. I'm currently is using the supcase unicorn beetle heavy duty case, awesome case by the way. Thanks

with this setup, it will only charge in the portrait position and yes works perfect with the N6

I'm using the Qi-infinity dock from Amazon. It works fine. I actually have a Spigen Ultra Hybrid case on there. Although I haven't tested it to the extent of charging it while running GPS, BT and all that simultaneously.

Is there plenty of room to plug an external charger into the bottom of the nexus 6 if you need some extra power?
That looks very similar to one I just bought. Does the cradle push down on the volume down button?

I have used this Dock from Amazon for over a month and works great. The side arm will push down on the volume down button unfortunately. The arm can be modified to avoid this, or use a case with cut-outs for the buttons (I use Spigen slim fit cases).

No, it doesn't. There is an opening on the bottom for you to plug in a USB. It doesn't push down on the buttons either.
I can't choose between Tylt and iOttie.

Get the Tylt. The thing I've noticed about wireless chargers is the more expensive ones always work. I guess that's why I've got a Nokia and a Tylt for the car.

How aboit heating and charging time in Tylt? If screen phone is off, how long does it take to go from for example 10% to 60%?

It chargers very quickly. The desktop Nokia I use takes much longer in comparison but I've been using it for years now, had a DNA and a g2 after that, now a N6. The Tylt is just a quality piece and looks great too.
The reviews on Amazon say that the Tylt Vu car charger doesn't work very well with the Nexus 6. The claims seem to be about how well it actually grips and holds the phone (and not so much about charging or feeling cheap).
I've got iOttie already. When plug in motorola stock charger then it charges 50% in about 90 minutes. Grip is very good. No risk of drop. Battery during the charging is cold. Tomorrow I'll try a car charger.
I have the Ghostek Qi car charger coming today from amazon. I'll post pics when it gets here.

Apparently the Nexus 6 fits without a case pretty tightly. I'll know more once I try it myself. $29.99 is one of the better prices I have seen.

It grips and holds the phone fine naked and with a thin case. Using it with my Supcase Unicorn Beetle Pro rugged case works but its jammed in there.
I can tell you which one not to buy, even know it has a ton of good reviews.

It's got a terrible sweet spot that has the phone off centered. The pad itself feels like it came right off the .99 cent ship from China. I'm returning it as we speak and getting something more quality. Just wanted to let you know in case the 25 dollar and almost 5 star review enticed anyone. Hopefully the next one will be better.
I read a few reviews about the phone over heating on the tylt....can anyone confirm or deny that? It looks quality and I'm also wondering if it has to be set exactly in place or if it has some wiggle room. Thanks in advance.

I use this one .If I leave my distronic slim fit on it pops on and off charging.Take off the case and it works fine. It does touch the bottom volume button but hasn't been a problem.
