is it possible to root the M819N on 4.4.4? NUVUBNI5 - Samsung Galaxy Mega

Hi guys is it possible to root the Samsung M819N on 4.4.4? I dont see any root for it, I did see a root keeper from 4.4.2 to 4.4.4 but not the other way around, some people have said you can ODIN 4.4.4 down to 4.4.2 but there was no confirmation on it, and i didn't want to brick the phone. Can anyone tell me if theres a root available for the M819NUVUBNI5?
thanks

If you install Phil's it gives you option to root... Then install SU. Can you install phil's without root to begin with? Not sure... All the info is in that link. BTW. I HIGHLY& SUGGEST that rom. It is stock!!

Yes - if you need to be certain everything is wiped (all data will be lost) and stock you can go this route instead: here

No this is an odin image, meant for flashing in odin if you get soft bricked and have no other options. Knox is definitely in it. I would imagine that roms will be popping up shortly to give you what you are looking for.

It is indeed too soon to know. I'd imagine this will allow you to keep root, however, you have to be willing to take that chance.

I flashed it and don't seem to be having any wifi issues. Dunno about MMS.
However, it will cause you to lose root. I had half-working root which didn't really give me much due to SELinux (I couldn't remount /system, for example), so losing that wasn't a big loss.

"Half working" meant that I could get a "#" prompt, and could read files that I couldn't as a non-root user, but still with SELinux enforcement enabled, keeping me from doing much of anything, like mounts, etc. I started rooted on MI1 and enabled SuperSU recovery, but it didn't work for me. Probably something I did wrong, and SuperSU wasn't able to reinstall itself properly.

Try different build of cm. And make sure to do full format of data and system before flashing.

dont go by results of root checker and if u still feel then flash the updates build
if you want try a dorimax test kernel (latest are almost stable) or latest slimkat from fusionjack or resurrection remix (many features from all roms)

its up to you but i would suggest you try a look if your phone bootloader can be unlock...if it can be unlock then i highly recommend you unlock it and flash custom kernel....custom kernel is very good since all custom kernel are pre-rooted and all have recovery by default (CWM/TWRP or Both).... that means you don't have to root your phone and install recovery again and again...
Good news is my phone can unlock the bootloader but the reason i want to root because i want clear my internal memory, 53 mb left and i want to transfer all my app to sd card and to remove bloatware app.. As far i know unlocking the bootloader will not help solve my problem, am i right?

Btw remember unlocking your bootloader will void your warranty! You don't have to unlock it in order to root it

ICS will NEVER stop lag. Its ics feature (XD) if u want a unlaggy phone get JB or up with a 3.4xxx kernel. Mike's Legacy Xperia id a good choice , and its very suitable for a daily use. recently he gaved us a final CM10.1 version which i woul advice to you to try. :good::good: damn its so smoooth

Hmm,but unlocking bootloader wont help solve my problem like insufficient internal memory space and removing bloatware, am i right? When i try to check my phone with Root Checker, its say my device doesn't have proper root access. What that suppose to mean? Did i accidently delete a file or something else.. Or upgrading to ICS can help solve this 'root access' problem? Sorry i'm very noob at this..

So how did you create this, Samsung hasn't released it, who onows they may never. Is it a Note 3 ROM like your 4.2.2 one modified to work on our Canadian Note 8?
What about root? What about 4.2.2 bootloader? Does it have the external SD locked for writing from apps like the real Kitkat?
Give us some info? If this is real, its amazing and we all owe you?

I didn't think the 5120 rom would work in our tablet. The 4.2.2 didn't, you had to create a special ROM.

I think AT&T is the i467. The Canadian carriers were the i467M. I don't know the difference but I wouldn't download this yet. Don't want to brick until I understand what this is.
I know that there is no release from Samsung for our ROMS, also that the 4.2.2 ROM from the 5120's LTE Note didn't work on ours, so be VERY careful. I'm waiting for some info from the developer as to what this is.
This same developer did a version of 4.2.2 for our i467M's. I'm using it, and it's great. The thread is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2446155
But I think that was ported from a Tab 3 as he called the thread 4.2.2 N5210 for i467M. The N5210 is not a Note. it is a Tab 3 10.1 inch tablet.

Is the kernel 5120 as well? If it is then maybe be able to attain wifi using the spherecat kernel. If it isn't than perhaps looking at the present i467m kernel may lead to some headway.
