I am not responsible if you brick your phone or recovery, use the backup function in MTKDroid tools
Desire 816G is a MTK 6582 device with easy steps to install a working CWM Recovery
Step 1:-
Gaining Root Access:-
Use iroot [PC version] to root the device,i used this but motochopper should work too.Install SuperSU from the playstore, iroot will install some chinese app that will root the phone and even some other superuser app , keep it as per your wish
or uninstall it from any root System app uninstall utility and use SuperSU instead.
Step 2:-
MTKDroid Tools.
Connect the Device to your PC in USB Debugging mode.
Open MTKDroid tools a button below will say ROOT , press that and adb shell will be granted root access , grant access when a pop up comes up on the phone.
switch to the root, backup, recovery tab ,tick on use boot from phone then hit the button,'Recovery and boot',a custom boot and recovery will be generated, hit ok on prompts if you want to install it.
Bugs:-
Only the external sd card can be mounted in the recovery,it will need some edits for mounting both of them
There isn't a lot of space on the internal memory though so
everything other than internal memory mounting works fine.
IF ANYONE WORKS OUT HOW TO MOUNT INTERNAL MEMORY PLS MESSAGE
Pls help
While trying to root my htc 816g in getting the error.
pls find error screenshot and kindly help

1. Download jdk 32bit only from here, Android sdk from here, Unlock root from here, adb_usb.ini from here and A87 drivers from here.
2. Install jdk
3. install Android sdk, after installing open sdk manager form star and select "android sdk platform-tools" and "google usb driver" unselect the rest, click install packages. After installing put the adb_usb.ini file in "C:\Users\(your PC name)\.android"
4. Now on your phone goto settings>applications>development>enable usb debugging and connect usb cable, it should say usb debugging mode and show a little green android icon on the topleft (if not then reinsert cable or re enable usb debugging)
5. Windows will detect the device, let it stabilize then extract A87 drivers to a location say "C:/drivers"
6. Now goto start type "device manger" open device manager, you wil find "android adb interface" right click upgrade drivers and lead it to a location of your extracted drivers, do the same with other devices you get with an exclamation icon. (dont worry if you dont find other devices, its fine)
7. Install Unlock root, open it and click root, it wil ask for the device select micromax A87 and Your done !!!

I too faced the same problem a while ago :crying:, but at last got its solution...
Do this only if you Have CWM(clockworks mod) installed on your device...
If not then goto - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987020
And find it there...
Firstly, Get a rooted custom/stock ROM and save it in your device's sd card,
Then goto ClockWorks Recovery ( First power off your device, then hold volume up and power key untill superfone logo displays to get into recovery menu), (scroll up and down for three times to enable the power button with vol. up and down key)open 'mounts and storage' menu
Then choose 'format/system' . After the completion Goto main menu and choose 'install zip from sd card' -> choose zip -> And install it.
And after completion, Reeboot. DONE, your got a rooted device...!

That is because you deleted the vold.fstab file which handles this.

Yes i know that, what i dont know is how to get it back.
Do you have a custom recovery or bootloader mode? If you do, most accept adb commands while they are booted in this mode and they're separate from your Android OS, so they should still work.
Didn't have any of that but i managed to get stock vold.fsbat file through root ftp program so this thread can be locked.
In most cases an android phone user comes to know about ROOTING and Installing Custom Recovery like CWMR, TWRP and Philz......Popular System on a chip manufacturer(Soc) like Qualcomm has been in the industry since 1985 and has a strong foundation and many of the flagship companies like sam, sony, lg, are using their Soc's. So somewhat developers are very eager to develop for these devices and let the other manufacturer down in their developer community(But not now a days).
So here we present the Ultimate guide for the media tek device owners on how to root and install Clock Work Mod Recovery for their phones.
ROOTING
One of the Best tools for rooting your phone is using FRAMAROOT which was developed by alephzain (Senior Member at XDA)

Hello guys
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy Duos GT-s5302. I installed a ROM that has a bug for external storage (USB) and other bugs. I want to install another fine ROM. When i placed my external sd card in the phone, i entered the recovery mode and i do not find the option for update from external sd (i find only 4 options). When i placed the USB in the PC, i get "Please Insert a Disk into Drive E:" I tried some fix methods but nothing new
Can you do me a favor please ? I can't use my phone now
Thank you
Some changes are made
Hi !
I cherched for a solution and some people told me that adb is a good one. To resolute the problem i need to send a rom from PC to internal SD Card. So, i tried the push function and i got permission denied, i cherched over the forum i found that i need to activate the USB debugging in the phone (i can't do it because the ROM 'im using has a bug), run as Root (it told me that adbd can't run as root in builds production) and give permissions with "su" function (i got a text saying the permission is denied). Then i cherched again and i found that i need to run adb in recovery mode, but my Samsung Galaxy Pocket Duos GT-s5302 is listed on device only in boot mode.
Can anyone give me a solution please ?
Please Help
Thank's
Hi everybody.
I have a tablet with General Mobile E-tab 4. It has been soft-brick when I install a custom rom. I guess it has been such, I removed the cable without the process is completed. I'm sure to I installed correct rom because previously I installed same rom to some model devices. I can access to the device with ADB but I haven't root access. I can use busybox because the rom includes busybox. But I can't install rom, like as I said, device hasn't root. When I enter "su" command, it says "file not found". I tried many tool to root device but none didn't work. When I tried "dd" command in busybox (it to install rom), it says you haven't writing permission.
I don't know why, fastboot doesn't work.
Also, the device hasn't external sd card slot.
How can I root or can I install rom to the this device? Please help.
