Let me clarify a bit.
I have a Jabra Classic which supports both the Media and PHone profile.
When I disable the Phone profile, my ringtones/notifications play through the bluetooth earphone just fine, however call audio does not go through the bluetooth.
When I enable the Phone profile, my notifications and miscellaneous media will play through the earpiece, however when a call comes in the phone sends the "ringing" signal to the earpiece which plays its generic ringtone.
Is there a way to force android to play the ring over the Media (a2dp) and enable the phone profile when answering?
Thanks to everyone for the help.

BUMP...
cmon theres gotta be a solution.. i mean if takser can make a notification play through the media stream.... should all notifactions be able to map them to the media stream so it plays in headphones???
got a temporary solution, got takser to put phone to vibrate and play a different tone when in headset through media stream. havent set up calling yet.
Can you try a Volume App. I forgot the name of the app before I that use to manually adjust the volume either for Headphone or External.
Every time I turn on my bluetooth headset, both the phone audio and the media audio get routed to the headset. I want to keep the phone audio through the headset, and the music through the aux-out to the car stereo.
Every time I disable the profile for media audio on bluetooth, it reverts back when I re-enable it.
Any ideas?
Hi
When I get onto my car, and the BlueTooth in my phone and car stereo sync, PowerAmp plays the next song in it's playlist. However, I would like to have Tune In Radio start instead.
There is an option in PoweeAmp to not have resume play - which is default - on A2DP Bluetooth.
This was the only audio player that i found that offered this option.
Is there some way to easily change the preference from PowerAmp to TyneIn? Maybe in Headset Micro service?
In order to utilize hands free calling in my 2014 Honda Pilot, I have to keep the "Phone audio" profile enabled on my phone. I also need to leave the "Media audio" profile enabled in order to stream music through the car. The issue comes when I am listening to an audio source other than AUX/Bluetooth (satellite radio for example). If the "Media audio" profile is enabled, my notification sounds get kidnapped (for lack of a better term) by the car, but because I'm not listening to the AUX/Bluetooth setting, I won't hear them. The two main impacts are text message notifications and navigation audio.
So here is my question.... is there a solution to this problem that will allow me to prevent notifications and navigation audio from being sent over Bluetooth to the car and force them to come out of the handset? As of now, I have to keep "Media audio" disabled, and enable it any time I want to use the AUX/Bluetooth setting on the car and stream music.
Thanks.

Hi guys,
i just noticed this strange behaviour twice since having my Honor 10.
When i'm listening to spotify music via bluetooth in my car (no Android Auto connected), sometimes (not every time) after getting a notification (notification sound is also played on car audio) the music continues to play without any bass (low frequencies are missing).
After pausing and resuming the playback in Spotify everything sounds as expected again.
Someone had that, too?
And found a fix?
For me it would be ok to disable notification sounds when on bluetooth audio.
Call rings should play tho.
I naild it down to the facebook app.
It happend when listing to spotify with my soundbar, too.
After shutting down facebook in and notification setting the sound was normal again.
Is there a way to remove "sound permissions" for facebook app but keep the visual notifications?
