Hi guys,
I need your help please. I bought my htc one m7 a year ago in USA. the phone is at&t branded but internationally unlocked for any SIM card. I went back home to Serbia and phone works fine with my Serbia SIM card but the problem that I'm having is that phone is not updating at all. I still have 4.3 android. In the settings the option is not saying software update but it says at&t software update, just to give you a clearer picture. So I don't know if I need at&t SIM card for it to be able to update the phone or what. Is there some other way to clear my phone like its not bond to any carrier?
Thx

at&t phone can only be updated using ot aupdates if they are connected to the at&t network.
To de-brand your phone you will need to s-off and flash the dev edition ruu.

I carrier unlocked my phone ATT Titan on Friday. I tested by installed a T-mobile SIM and i was receiving network signal on the T-mobile network. However, I'm not receiving the 8107 update. Is this not the same as having a debranded phone? I debranded my Samsung Focus and the update followed soon after. Can someone please shed some light on this for me? Thanks
its not the same as having a debranded phone ! .
the process of unlocking you mentioned just allows you to use other sim cards on an at&t device . but your device is still an at&t device .
the only true way of unbranding your phone now is to flash an unbranded rom . which i think its still not possible as of now .

DOH!!!!!!! That would explain why my Focus got the update. I flashed it witha custom ROM and then it got the update. So there aren't any custom HTC Titan ROMs?
I have a unlocked titan but i have not got the update yet. Anything i can do to get it?
Sent from my TITAN X310e using Board Express
Have you tried forcing the update through Zune? Search for an update then see if it finds one, If not search again and you will need to unplug your Modem/Lan cable as it searches again, Its a trial and error thing and getting the timing right is the difficult part, I managed to force the 8107 using this method, There should be some threads lurking around somewhere on XDA, Best of luck.
Also remember it is the network carriers who dish out the updates, Maybe if you put an ATT sim back in it may update easier then you can go back to T-mobile etc.
Do you need interop unlock for reg access?

No custom ROMs yet, Don't know about REG access but imagine you would need a dev unlocked device.

The 8107 update. I got it when i searched again. I didnĀ“t have to do anything.
Use the cab sender. That's what i did and install the languages.
Don't even have to be unlocked to use it.
Hi guys,
I've seen another thread on rooting the Desire 606w. Rather than hijacking that thread, I decide to create a new one.
I just got myself a Desire 609d from China. Can some help on how to root?
I have some experience flashing custom ROMs for my Galaxy SII way back then.
I've installed GMS from the HTC Marketplace so I already have access to the Google apps. I want to remove the bloatwares but I also want to install the international version of stock HTC phone apps. For example original 609d version of HTC Mail only support Chinese email providers.
Can someone help?
Thanks!
Anyone? pls

Hey guys. I couldn't get AT&T to unlock my s3 so I downgraded to android 4.1.1 to do the free unlocking method. It worked, but my phone has AT&T apps in it, and when updating it says crap like updating from AT&T server or w/e.
When using ODIN, was I supposed to install the AT&T or the T-Mobile version of the 4.1.1 android?
I figured since it's an at&t phone I have to reinstall the at&t so it doesnt mess up the drivers or anything (I totally made up that conclusion myself).
Also, I don't get 4g LTE now and only get E internet. Do I have to do some settings so the phone cooperates with T-Mobile?
As always, thank you very much for the helping hands.

You're probably going to need to setup the apns for Tmobiles network to work for your phone fully.
It automatically made one called tmobile but I dont know if I have to edit it.
Was I supposed to install android 4.1.1 for at&t or tmobile?

As far as i know you should be fine on the at&t rom, You're just going to need to edit those apns probably.

Well, how about this? I install the T-Mobile rom. Shouldn't that have the proper apns?
Now another question comes to mind. Since this is originally an at&t phone, will installing the T-Mobile rom mess it up?
Anyone? Help plz

Here go to How to Unlock the HTC One M7 site it looks like it has all of the instructions. The key is you need to get the code from T-Mobile to unlock your phone.
Thanks a lot for the reply @majmoz. But the problem is that I bought the phone in US and I never used it there. I used it in the Czech republic with T-mobile CZ SIM card. It's very cheap to get unlock codes for HTC phones from a 3rd party service. I run my own business doing it - PM me if you want
Hello, people
I just got an HTC M9 and it is from AT&T. I'm located in Dominican Republic and I've been told that it is unlocked. The thing is that I'm not able to update the android. It has 5.0.2 and I know that the HTC M9 allows to upgrade up to Android Nougat. I don't know if the phone may be flashed and get a new android OS installed on it. I'm really newbie in this subject and I don't know what to do. When I go to Settings > About > software, nothing shows up to update. The only update option is "AT&T software update", but it always says that there are not updates. Now it says: "network is not ready". I've thought about selling the phone cheaper and get a new HTC M9 factory unlocked or Verizon, but that would take some money. I didn't knew any of this when I got the phone... What would you recommend? Is it possible to flash the phone or should I get a new one?
You can download the 3.38.502.XX ruu from htc... Nougat I do not believe will be released from ATT... You cannot update the ATT software unless you are on ATT network, I would suggest converting the device to the developer edition and then you will get at least Nougat and security updates.

Thanks for your answer. However, I already bought a new HTC M9 T-Mobile version, which got updated at once. I tried to flash it and install several android versions, but none of them worked.
Att has released 7.0 Feb patches. I haven't got the update yet but this is great news for our phone finally
I stand corrected then... This is good news for you guys...
