Autorotation stopped working with Paranoid Android ROM - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Title pretty much sums it up. I downloaded sensor box for android to check what's up and accelerometer, orientation and possibly magnetic sensors are not working. Haven't changed the kernel. Rom's version is the latest. If you need any other info please ask me.
The ROM was downloaded from the official website (cannot post link because just registered)
It is the latest one (the top one):
Build Version: 4.6

Try to reflash the rom with wipe cache and dalvik cache and try again.

Do I have to factory reset as well? Or should I just wipe cache, wipe dalvik and then reflash the room?

Just want to be sure so I don't screw up my phone

I doubt it's hardware issues since everything was fine before I flashed the custom ROM. Perhaps I should try to flash the latest stable version of PA because this one is BETA?
Can I downgrade by just flashing or is there a specific process?

[Q] Method for CM10 Nightly updates

Hi all,
I've been using a nightly build of CM10 for a while now, one of the ones with the memory leak. I'd like to keep on top of the most recent nightly builds on a regular basis, but I hate the process of having to re install all my apps again, losing app data and adding all the sync accounts etc etc.
I was just wondering what process people used for updating to the most recent nightly, if there are any easy ways of doing a simple backup for everything, then just restoring it after the update.
Any information would be appreciated.
Cheers.

I disagree completely, wipe once, if at all.
Twice is completely unnecessary.
Before or after doesn't matter a sh*t as long as you do it before you boot the ROM.
(I've often not wiped anything and its been fine although I'll give best practice advice here.)
Actually with nightlies I don't wipe anything, ever, unless specifically instructed to do so by the dev (new code base or whatever)

[Q][Solved] CM10.1 Always Fall into Deep Sleep and Never WAKE UP!

Anyone can help?
Finally, I find the solution by myself! The main reason is a kind of software collision. In my case, it is two launchers, i.e. Trebuchet and APEX launcher. I just uninstall the Trebuchet and it really works!

Sorry for this generic response: have you rebooted into recovery (home+up+power) and cleared cache then advanced and clear dalvik cache. Failing that re - install your CM ROM (or the latest) and repeat the above cache clearing just after the install.
If you still have problems get betterbatterystats and post the dump in their thread, someone better then me there may help point you in the right direction.

I was told that there is no need to wipe cache and data when update CM10.1, so I didn't do the wipe.
Actually I have heard someone have done this but it didn't make sense!
Still thank you!

hello poeple i have pac rom and its working great except the sound
its disappearing after few hours of booting phone or letting it away
no sound in music , no sound in viber , no sound in vid
i reflashed but nothing happened
please help
edit:: it doesnt work again unless i reboot
Start from the basics back up your apps and reinstall the Rom and kernel.
Maybe it's a app you have installed that's causing the problem, so install them one at a time if the above options fails

and if you suggest a full wipe so would you recommend pac rom or what other rom??

[Q] Please help, Screen of Death on ANY KitKat ROM

It's really starting to bother me. I even thought that it might be that I deleted files I needed, so I completely unrooted and factory reset my phone, then rerooted and installed CM11, but it still did it.
ROM's I've tried that do it: CM11, Gummy Rom, OmniRom, AOKP
Any KitKat ROM causes my phone to Screen of Death and I can not for the life of me figure out the cause.
Please, can someone help me out?

I will say this. Twrp 2.5.0.2 is probably the best recovery for this phone. Others have had success with various recoveries. But IMO it seems to be the best.
That being said let's alter your process.
Factory Reset is fine. Then go to advanced wipe, select system, Data, Cache, davlik. Then Wipe.
Install rom and gapps. Reboot. Don't wipe cache and dalvik again.
Let me know.
If that didn't work I'll help you get to the right version of TWRP.
Let me know.
Which gapps? Make sure it is a version for 4.4.2.
Banks gapps or PA gapps are fine.

I use the Cyanogenmod Gapps from their list. And today is the first day running the new TWRP. For the last five months or so I was on 2.5.0.2 and I had the same problem. So I don't think that's the issue. I'm really at a loss though, I can't figure it out at all. But I'll definitely try your method.

Google banks gapps. Use the standard Version for 4.4.2. It's a small download. Let's mix it up. Try nameless or beanstalk, roms I know are working great right now. Get the latest beanstalk țhru goo the op isn't updated I don't think. Or the latest nameless.

they both can be very customizable. But if you leave them be they are very stock looking. Cyanogenmod is the base for both. I'm very partial to nameless right now personally. But they are both very good. I just know both are really stable right now.

If not, then do it though recovery by wiping system+data+cache+dalvic cache and flash the ROM.
If still problem persist then flash the stock ROM and check weather everything works normally. If still the problem exists then its the hardware fault (maybe the charging socket).
