I am on I545VRUFNC5-Stock-Root-Deodex ROM running 4.4.2 TouchWiz on galaxy s4.
The other day I made a back of Samsung Keyboard 4.0 and tried to flash a S5 ported SamsungIME zip file found in xda forum.
After the flash, the keyboard never worked and the back up also give me "android.keyboard.process" error. I extracted the keyboard apk from the stock rom and placed in system/apk with correct permission but still getting the same error.
Any help would be appreciated

I've recently installed ICS 4.0.3 on my galaxy s2 (The official rom) and after rooting and deleting some stock apps the original Touch Wiz stopped working so i looked everywhere for the stock TW apk (unmodified-the one that comes with the original rom) and i had no luck finding it.
If anyone could give me a link to the apk i would truly appreciate it

better flash again i don think ppl will keep tw4 apk wiv them...i don think it alone will work too...

I have a GS2 had stock operator ROM (Cellcom Israel 4.0.3)
backed up free titanium
installed pilotx JB rom and dual boot thin touchwiz JB
wanted to restore the stock memo app onto PilotX
titanium freezes when doing so
when I find the apk file, and click it tells me not installed
have tried to put the apk (including a deodexed version i found somewhere on XDA) into system/app (and data/app)
and reboot - all to no avail.
note that on my dual boot to thin touchwiz JB i CAN restore the memo app from titanium.
is this because this rom includes TW 5 - I think I read somewhere stock samsung apps require TW (??)
So is there a way to get the stock memo app onto pilot X?
is there a way to find a TW5 apk to put onto pilotX in hopes that after that I could restore the memo app?
(yes I have tried numerous memo apps from market, don't know why but I like stock samsung one best!)

you can only use those original samsung softwares on touchwiz based ROMs (meaning in fact custom roms based on stocks = "sammy roms")
so it's not possible to use them on aosp or aokp based roms if the touchwiz framework is not incorporated...and normally it's not because exactly the usage of easy theming and independence from samsung is the source of those roms.
So i don't know what pilotX rom is based on, but if not based on sammy it will probably not work

if I go back to pilotX will give this one a shot and let you know

I'm trying to install GB stock keyboard apk on Gin2 JellyBean, default keyboard in this rom does not support additional hardware buttons on keyboard. Problem is that I'm getting 'Error parsing package'. Copying to System/app does not work either.
I was thinking maybe i should recomple stock apk for this rom, but I dont want to go through trouble unless doing this has a point.
So any ideas?
Hi all, i'm using a different ver of s3 SHW-M440S. I've thought of have note4 UI and features on it but it seem to be impossible when i found out that note4 roms for s3 don't support my phone, it only supports gt-i9300 and people said that trying to install may brick my phone. Next i trying to have note 4 app but it only for 4.4 yesterday i install note 3 secphone.apk by replacing the original one in sys/app but i found that there wasn't any secphone.apk but secphone_KOR.apk. i backup it, paste secphone.apk and renamed it into the same as ori one, set permission and reboot. When it turned on again, i call a friend and it said ... has stopped. i backup it and it worked so i could have note3 call features All thing i can do now is root it. Does anyone know how to have note4 features on my s3 4.3???
