I wonder if anyone else has this bug (couldn't find anything relevant):
I search for something in Google Maps (say "factory outlet") and the list of results pops up. But when I select a result (location), just after the location details are shown, the app freezes (stops responding).
Sometimes, a second instance of Maps will pop up after showing the location details, and then Maps will freeze.
I can still use Maps by selecting a result from the suggestions screen (the results that appear as you type), but this bug is still very annoying.
I have tried everything to fix this, clearing cache and data, uninstalling upgrades of the app and upgrading again, but nope, the bug remains.
Happens on the very latest version of Maps (and the one before) on my Galaxy S3 (official Android 4.3 rom)
Anyone else has this? Anyone knows how it can be fixed?

the "my apps" tab in the android market is currently only showing 6 apps installed out of maybe 25 or 30 at least. my tab is all stock with touchwiz. i also noticed that my apps that arent showing up in the "my apps" tab aren't auto updating like they should be either. i found this out by searching for one of my installed apps and it gave me the button to update it.
another weird thing is that when i searched for adobe flash app(which is currently installed) the button was there that said install instead of manage or update.
i really am not sure why this is happening and its really bugging me. is anyone else having this experience? or does anyone know a way to fix this? thanks in advance.
I'm wondering if this is a server-side issue. Yesterday, I opened up the market and was unable to download anything. When I went to my apps, they were all missing. There was nothing there but a message that said something like "No apps to download" or something like that.
I cleared the cache and data and restarted the Market a few times and it resolved itself.
If data and cache cleaning do not help you can always use Titanium Backup's Market Doctor feature.
will look into it thanks for the info
well i tried clearing data and cache as well as rebooting tab. not really sure what else. i did just get prompted for a system update i did that and for about 10 minutes it was showing all of my apps, however its back to only showing about 10 apps out of 44.
I m having the same issue, because i did not installed the apps by market.
I saved the apk and just install it from the card and mine apps are not showing in the market.
So the easy way to list again is just manually search the app in the market and update it. (if update is available) and it will show in the My Apps
Google Play randomly locks up my SGS2 running CyanogenMod 7:
Nothing else gives this problem on my phone, and my phone also had this same problem with the old Google Market App. Is there anyone else having the same problem as me, and more importantly does anyone know a fix
you could try clearing the cache, settings-->applications-->manage applications-->select google play and clear cache.
it is a known issue with cwm 7.1 and s2. have a read to the official cwm forum... workaround use appbrain. the issue occurs when you scroll in the market/play app
OK Guys thanks for the pointers.
I'm getting Google PLay FCs all the time!
I don't why my google play is giving continous force closures.removing cache or unistalling update is not working.
No answer here but at least you'll know you are not alone.

Hey everyone,
I hope this is in the right section. But just recently i noticed my phone acting weird. Seems when i open google play store and do a search, Most recently i did "Weather Widgets"
It will return with like 6000 app results. Normally when you click the apps bar it takes you to the app results, When you scroll down and you reach the end of the list it will auto load the next group of apps.
Well now when that happens it no longer loads anymore results and it stays stuck on the first 10~15.BUT this is the weird part.. IT ONLY DOES IT FOR APPS and GAMES.
Music and Books the list loads as usual.
So far i have wiped the cache / data and just tried uninstalling the recent update and took it back to version 3.7.15 but google play auto updates itself back to 3.8
This really sucks. Anyone know how to stop google play from auto updating? soon as i wipe it back to 3.7 it auto updates back to 3.8
Nevermind - Resolved.
I guess somewhere along the line when gapps updates to 3.8... it no longer likes the device ID. I checked it and its DROIX but 3/4 of the apps on the market dont show.
So i downloaded Device spoofer and setup gapps as a Nex S. works like a charm
Hi everyone.
I have a problem on my HTC One S (S4) everything Stock (again)... no root, bootloader locked etc.. (but don't think the problem is device specific)
I will describe it a little detailed so sorry for long text:
Yesterday i saw under notifications that "google+" is auto-updating to latest version. but because of i don't want to use google+ (and i can't uninstall it), i pressed and hold (during the update-process - on the notifications bar) and tapped on "App Info". From there i selected to stop the task, cleared the data and deactivated. Then it was gone also from the notifications. -- i know i could have tapped only once and stopped the update in playstore, but i just wanted to make it quick.
But the problem started there: when i want to open playstore, it shows up for a second then closes back again with a FC. Reboot didn't helped.
I have done clearing data of "Google Play Store" and "Google Services Framework" and rebooting but this did not solve the problem.
Today i received 3 Update-Notifications for some apps but when i tapped on the notification, playstore opens then closes after a second the same way.
I got also a com.google.gapps (as far as i remember) FC-error sometimes..
I wanted to install the playstore from an apk, but interestingly i couldn't download anything from the (stock) internet browser (the download does simply not start or the download-page closes). I also tried with Chrome to download, but there i even got FCs when i wanted to download anything. So i think this has to do something with the playstore-problem.
Now the question is: is there a way i could fix this, without restoring the whole phone?
Problem solved (thread can be closed).
i just needed coffee to wake up i think. i simply restored all app settings to default (via HTC Sense). Everything works now.
Hi, I have this issue with the Google Now search results area display being blank after a search. I'm using lollipop on an Elephone P8000. If I force close the app, it works once or twice but quickly returns to this faulty behaviour. I've googled it a bit and found that some people seem to see it as a known issue which Google have so far been unable to put right. Does anybody else experience this behaviour of know any solutions?
same problem in my xperia z1 running on 5.1 , Problem solved after updating google apks and clearing cache. Give a try on this
