I personally recommend you to install KitKat based Color OS because it looks absolutely beautiful.
In the past I used to have this ROM in an older version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and I was very happy with it.

1. enter allviewmobile.com
2. select "products" and "viper" under the smartphone section
3. scroll the page to the bottom an click on v1 viper 16Gb
4. click the download tab
5. download "update_v1viper_16gb_kitkat_17.11.2014"
6. read the instructions carefully from "Update procedure V1 Viper 16GB/ 17.11.2014"
7. wait for it to install
8. Congratulations! You now have a stock V1 Viper 16Gb

does the af.zip fix work also on MT6589 phone with standard Jellybean 4.2.1?
I'm not an expert so I need some more information.
I have done the root of my 4.2.1 smartphone and I have installed a root explorer app.
I did not install a custom recovery. I'm using the standard one but the camera autofocus dosen't work.
My question is: is it sufficient to substitute the "libcameracustom.so" file with the one included in the zip file or I have to do something before or after?

Am in need of Aosp v2 for my gionee P4. The link I saw from this thread was showing some oda stuff. I didn't c d real file inside.

I think the GPS have a minor bug. The gps not working in the maps & other tracking apps without internet. Please have a look on this issue.

Failed flash
Hi,
I've recently installed this ROM, someone suggested me that it could help me with some touchscreen issues I've been having. But now I'm stuck on bootloop. I'm not saying anything, I know this could happen.
Just before flashing I was running
XMP sk17a
.58 Android 2.3.4 (GB)
locked bootloader
stock kernel and ROM
Rooted and CWM
It seems like a good ROM, to bad that it couldn't boot properly, is it out of the question?, or do you have any advice to try again and see if I can get this ROM running on my device? Any help would be appreciated. Also, anyone knows something on how to fix an unresponsive touchscreen?

As the ROM you want to flash is an ICS ROM you need an ICS kernel. At the moment you're on GB, so I think at first you need to flash a stock ICS ROM (.ftf file) according to your device. You have locked bootloader, so no option to flash a custom ICS kernel. After flashing stock ICS ROM and including kernel you have the needed ICS kernel and should be able to install the UHD ROM .zip in CWM and run it properly.

when i tried to port a custom rom i discover that 3g is not working and the signal reception is too weak how to fix this ?

So Can someone tell me how do i port a Rom for my device, like i want miui v6 for my Panasonic P81(which is not available currently). And the base rom which you are telling should be of cyanogenmod, but cyanogen is not available for my device! So what base rom should i take? thanks! and should the port be of the same type as the base? i mean like i have a base of cyanogen (just an example) and i have a port of miui then what should i do?

Cyanalarm.ogg is bugging my system. Whenever I try to copy or delete it, the progress bar will get stuck and I'll have to reboot windows to make it work.
[EDIT] On most things I download here I cannot copy the ogg files... am I'm doing something wrong?
[EDIT 2] Nvm... I forgot I'm supposed to use the zip file without unzipping it.

App2SD, means the ability to move apps to the SD card, that allows you to liberate more internal storage. I recommend more this cm11 version
