Ringer Volume Lock - Verizon LG G3

Has anyone seen an LG3 ROM with ringer volume lock similar to CarbonROM? Hard buttons for ring volume is irritating once you used to locked/media only. Tried all apps for Volume Lock and all so far only reset after period of time etc. Could this be as simple as config not sysapp change?

Nice! Found in Liquid Smooth 4.4.4. Not sure if in LS LP but fingers crossed. Goto settings > sound > liquidsmooth sound > media control = enabled.

go into settings-> sound and display -> and set the "single volume" slider button to off. Then you when you use the volume rocker to change your volume you can mute the ringer volume while leaving the music(system) volume intact

This can't work since the SMS Sound is part of the system sounds...
So you still hear the SMS sound when you have Ring turned all the way down.
I also want to know how to do that!
Exactly , I already tried that method.
So I guess there's no solution for this problem.
Farewell then...

[Q] Ring volume soft, preview ring volume normal

I've got the latest energy rom installed. Recently realized the ring volume is really soft but volume is at 100%. If I go sounds and notifications tab and click the play button to preview the ringtone, it is the normal volume.
Any idea what's going on? Even notifications are normal volume. Only ringer and maybe SMS. A regedit fix would be helpful... I've toyed around in there to no avail.
Thanks!

Silent/Vibrate modes on GB 2.3

It could be me but I can't seem to have the option of having:-
SILENT / VIBRATE / SOUND since moving to 2.3?
I used to be able to use volume keys to cycle through and via lockscreen swipe.
Last time I changed sound settings but option seems to have gone....
I can only access vibrate, no silent option. Must just be removed, I for one never used that option.
Although, if you go into setting>sound, you can change the 'Vibrate' option to 'Never' and this will enable complete silence.
Instructions
Go to > Settings > Sound > Vibrate ... Select 'Only when not in Silent mode'
You can then have Silent, Vibrate & Ringer

That's what I thought but it doesn't work, I still can't access 'silent' from volume keys

Google removed this feature after 2.1 because...

HTC kept it (along with others, including Cyanogenmod).
I've made an app to emulate it in 2.2+

in settings you need to "enable silent state".
I have to quote myself from another thread, sorry about that!

Go to Settings > Sounds > Vibrate
It'll give you 4 options that also affect the way volume keys and lockscreen works:
1. Always
Your phone will always vibrate, regardless of volume level, so in lockscreen when you slide for silent or pressing the volume keys all the way down, you'll be in vibrate only, never silent.
2. Never
It will never go to vibrate mode, no matter what.
3. Only when silent
Your phone will vibrate when in silent mode, so when you slide for silent in lockscreen or pressing the volume keys all the way down, you'll be in Vibrate Only
4. Only when not in silent
Your phone will vibrate when not in silent mode, so when you slide for silent in lockscreen or pressing the volume keys all the way down, you'll be in Silent Mode, no vibration.

Random yet possibly stupid question

This maybe software opposed to hardware...
Just got my new titan sorted out last night and firstly - really happy with it! build is lovely, UI - love it, overall really nice feel to use.
However, the volume control - volume is ok, and vibrate is fine but is there a 'silent' with no vibrate mode? i cannot find it?
You can only have a "Silent no vibrate" setting if you turn off Vibration on the sound settings...the only down side is this turns off vibration in all situations so you have to manually toggle it in settings as you wish.
You've stumbled across what I believe is the most bone-headed problem with this OS: you have to choose between silent and vibrate in settings.
In other words, I think you should be able to tap the icon to switch between:
Ring > Ring with Vibrate > Vibrate > Silent
but no! There is a vibrate toggle under Settings > Ringtones and Sound. If you have it turned on, your ringer options are:
Ring with Vibrate > Vibrate
If you have it turned off, your ringer options are:
Ring > Silent
SO, if you're like me and pretty much just want to use Vibrate or Silent, you're stuck going into Settings EVERY TIME. Even more infuriating, if you're actually on the "Ringtones and Sound" page and pull down the ringer option with your volume rocker and hit the ringer icon, you can see that your choice toggles the "ringer" switch on the page - so clearly it wouldn't have been too much harder to have the "vibrate" toggled "remotely" as well.
I love this OS, but this single flaw drives me bananas.

Why not just turn the volume rocker to 0 for silent? Then you don't have to go to settings... or do you want other things to make sound?
MS has made weird choices for WP7. (Have they ever used a phone ?)
I suggest you to vote for this missing (basic) feature here :
http://windowsphone.uservoice.com/f...the-ring-vibrate-toggle-button-a-3-way-option
Have you also noticed you can't choose the volume level of the Alarm ?
Many "features" like this in WP7..

If you use the volume rocker to go to "0" and you have vibrate turned "off" in settings, then the ringer will turn to "silent" mode. If you use the rocker to go back above "0," then the ringer will turn to "ring" mode.
If you use the volume rocker to go to "0" and you have vibrate turned "on" in settings, then the ringer will turn to "vibrate" mode. If you use the rocker to go back above "0," then the ringer will turn to "ring+vibrate" mode.
There are four modes, but only two available at any given time based on whether you have "vibrate" enabled in settings.

Double-checked and it looks like I gave this three votes back in October.

Notification Volume

Coming from an HTC phone, I had the option to "Use incoming call volume for notifications". It was an easy way for me to turn up and down all volume using the side volume rockers. I don't see this option for the note. I was in a meeting yesterday and thought my phone volume was turned off, but the notifications kept going off. It'd be so much easier if i could use the volume rocker to turn down the sound as opposed to going into the settings and manually doing it every time I want to change the volume. Any tips?
I use widgetlocker and have a volume slider on my lock screen, I always just slide it to vibrate
