Gear Manager on note lollipop port
First things first, huge fan of sacs roms. I've tried so many and they are my daily drivers. On the latest lollipop port im noticing i cannot download or use the new galaxy gear manager for my gear s watch. The galaxy app store must think i have a device that is not compatible. I've installed from titanium backup but it doesn't function either. Unable to load plugin is the error i receive. Just wondering if this will be addressed in V2. Thanks in advance.

I have the Galaxy gear fit watch and I Googl'd gear fit app replacement and found a website that had the . apk file for download and downloaded it and it's working for me.
Thought I would share.

Have been running this rom for about 18 hours now and I've had to recharge my phone three times so far. I know there is a period of time where the rom needs to settle in. But this seems to be a bit excessive. Anyone else noticed this problem?
TIA!

Sorry one more stupid question. How do I get the toolbox floating bubble to appear?

With a lot of people having troubles with many apps, I opted for a more permanent solution though when I wanted to jump into this rom. I flashed to the latest Complete NK4 update via Odin. After I let it all set up. Made a complete backup of the stock base and cleared for new rom install. I then flashed Sacs rom and everything went smooth all the way through to the beginning with wifi setup and all with no stops along the way. No problems with battery life as well......
Now this did not prevent me from having the usual problems that everyone else has like unable to connect to wifi right out, FC on incoming calls, etc. I was able to update PRL and Profile normally though. Installed all my Root apps including updating Busy Box as well to try everything out. So far no problems with what I have tried so far unlike what I mentioned prior already. :good:
Anyone else start playing a flappy birds type game with a flying Andy through a level in the phone? I thought it was hilarious.....

No Wi-Fi calling, I assume? Any way to get it installed afterwards?
TIA!

Unfortunately Phone has stopped
This Rom may be lollipop but it's nowhere close to stable. Can't keep track of all the headaches. Not sure why I keep getting my hopes of for this guys ROMS. Clearly I'm insane by definition.

Ive been unable to connect wifi after restart

5.0 Lolli
Was wondering has the lock screen freezing issue has been fixed

SView
Can anyone post a fix for the S-View?

Gear S still not working
OP: Gear Manager on note lollipop port
First things first, huge fan of sacs roms. I've tried so many and they are my daily drivers. I've installed from titanium backup but it doesn't function either. Unable to load plugin is the error i receive. Just wondering if this will be addressed in V2. Thanks in advance.
I downloaded Samsung Gear apk and when it tries to download "additional data" it fails and says "unable to load plugin" at the bottom briefly. This happens right after i try to pair with the watch. Then a full "notice" appears and says: "unable to connect to the gear. connecting to the gear is not supported by your mobile device or your software needs to be updated. Check that your mobile device is able to connect to the gear, then update your mobile device software."
I cannot find the real samsung gear app in the samsung app store or play store. I'm assuming it thinks my phone isn't a note 3. Any work around would be greatly appreciated I'd hate to roll back to the old rom after seeing this one.

viper4android
Does anyone know if there is any audio mods for sacs lollipop 5.0..like viper4android???

Is there anyway to make the menu key a recent tasks key without an Xposed module?

You can do a lot with Soultweaks. You must initially deny it root access to use it though. Give it a try.

This might sound stupid, but did you update the profile? You should be getting at least 3G without trying.

These are the steps I took to get LTE back. I hope they work for you. Switch off data First.
Dial ##DATA# and select edit.
Go to the bottom of the screen and select "more".
Go to (1) HDR/1×selection. Choose LTE+CDMA+EDVO. press okay without power cycle.
Go to (2) Korea mode set and select Sprint mode.
Back out and go to (3) LTE APN Settings. Change to APN 2 LTE.
Turn on data and reboot. Check your data settings to ensure everything stuck.

If you can't get into SoulTweak, know that you must first deny it access in SuperSu. Once inside SoulTweak go back to SuperSu and grant so changes may be applied.

Cant get PC to read watch in step 10 of flashing
I have an Omate 1/8 which arrived yesterday. I factory reset it. I got through steps 1-9 of the recent Rom update. When I tried 10, to connect my watch to my PC, it recognized a "removable disc G:" and told me to insert a disk, but it didn't/couldn't read the watch contents.
(The setup file in step 2 did properly set up according to my pc.)
Anyone able to suggest what I do?

Is ADB installed?
Did you disable Quickboot?
Did you enable USB Debugging?
Did the Patch give any errors when you ran it?
Just hard wiped my dev unit, flashed stock Jan20 and ran the Patch v1.0.2. The only thing I had happen was SuperSU tell me the su binary needed to be updated. I am curious as you mention trying to install SuperSU, it's preinstalled by the Patch and should not have to be installed by the user.

I did all of that according to your instructions and didn't get any errors. Decided to wipe and return to stock, but got an error during flashing (status bar went to 100% really quick and an error popped up around 13 seconds). Watch won't respond to anything including plugging it into a wall charger. Will try with another computer to see if that helps, and then try pulling the battery if that doesn't work. Any advice to unbrick?

Those errors are really important. Knowing what the error and what color the was was tells me a lot of things. As far as the watch being unresponsive, battery pull or wait a few hours for the battery to die. If you don't want ot void the warranty I suggest waiting for the battery to die.
Something is not right then because if SuperSU (or any file file that matter) was not installed, the script would have given an error.
EDIT:
I don't want to seem like I'm not trying to help but I run the script 20-30 times before a release and use it about 10-15 times a day on a regular basis. In fact I use a slightly modified version to cut down on dev time.

Sounds good! SuperSU was installed, it just said the binaries weren't installed. I took off the screw covers for the waterproofing warranty, but one of the screws was stripped, so I think I'm out of luck...the watch is off so I don't think the battery will even drain. I guess it is time to see what Omate customer service is made of.

Unless you pull the battery, the watch may appear to be off but stuck on bootloader mode. It's happened to me a couple times as well.
If yours is anything like mine, the placement screws are better than the ones in the TS.

Thanks for all the help! I'll just wait until tomorrow to see if the watch dies on me and see what Omate has to say. Really appreciate the quick responses!
I just flashed back to stock, what next is needed?
Following Lokifish's very helpful video, I have finally succeeded in flashing back to stock. Do I need now to do a security patch, or was that included in the stock file I'd have used? Also, how might I obtain some of the useful additions that Loki installed in Imperium, working from stock?
Thanks for all your help!

If you flashed back to stock then none of the improvements listed in the OP will be found on your device. Stock is exactly that, stock with no changes at all.
Except for some build.prop edits, removing preinstalled apps like FB and a different launcher, there is no difference between the patch and the ROM. I in fact use a slightly modified version of the Patch myself to build the test builds of the ROM.

I am not sure if I understood. Weren't there some security issues you helped address,( before Imperium), that were recommended to add to the stock rom?
Are you saying if I do this patch, I will basically have the Rom plus some adjustments? Are these security related or just improvements, tweaks and some helpful programs? Either way, I think I will prefer this to the basic stock. (I took your reply to suggest there might be no need to do the patch, that it is useful to you but not so necessary...)

Oh, by the way, for us true newbies, it might be helpful to offer some advice how best to negotiate the downloads at host-dev... I found myself in a hellish loop of websites offering that I join for free but then never giving a way to get past the "upgrade to premium" offers. In the end, I downloaded iLivid download manager and got it to work.

Omate TS slow and built-in memory full
Hi all, hopefully this time I am posting in the right place. After flashing the patch my TS seems to be slower and seems to ignore storing things on the sd card. The TS memory now has only 228mb free and the SD card is all free (this is set up as the default storage). Has anybody come across a similar situation (TS slow and memory full) and how could I overcome that? Many thanks in advance (please be patient, I am not an expert)!

I can't find the "Uninstall Recovery" button. When I turn on the phone, the "SafeStrap: Disabled" screen comes on. It has 2 buttons: One says "Continue" , the other button says "Recovery". If I press "Recover" it brings up the screen in the attached photo. If I press through all the options possible, I don't find an "Uninstall Recovery" button. ???
If I press "Continue" instead, and then go to Samsung's Application Manager, the only application listed is "Samsung Applications". There's no SafeStrap application listed there.

You need to install the APK.
Just to let you know, this is the Kindle Fire HDX forum. Safestrap isn't a universal solution, rather each device has its own specific version.
You should head over to this thread instead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448942
Problems with safetrap by booting ROM-1 (Stock ROM works)
Problems with safetrap.
Everything looks fine at my Kindle (thor) with safetrap, except, when I have restored a backup (from stock) to rom-1 and reboot my kindle fire System REcovery says, that it cannot boot. I shall reset to factory setting.
But when I go directly at bootscreen to safetrap back and aktivate the stock rom for booting, it seems to boot without problems.
How can I solve this? Before flashing a new rom I will have a backup that works.
Edit: Seems the problem is: When safetrap is enabled at booting: I have the Problems,
When safetrap is disabled (boot from stock rom): I can directly boot.
Solved the problem: I think you need 13.3.2.4 or 13.3.2.5, then safetrap works fine. Have also running new rom,
thanks.
Hi. I have the 16gig version, and when left it stock I had 10gigs left, after safestrap and putting the Nexus on it, I show only 2.44 gigs. I'm wondering how big the romslot partitions are and if they can be changed. I'm assuming that's some of the problem.
Thanks.

Need help rooting (& installing SafeStrap) on my Fire HDX 7"
I can't figure out how to root this thing (so that I can next install SafeStrap) and it is driving me crazy. I have looked through many threads and have tried many Google searches about how to supposedly root this device but have come up empty. I don't understand what Hashcode means when he says:
"To root, I recommend flashing SuperSU.zip from here and flash in Safestrap to the active rom-slot after flashing the ROM:"
I tried installing the file with the following command:
adb install UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.46.zip
But it keeps giving me the following error message:

Safestrap does not run on 4.5.3 or any version above 3.2.8.
You can't root 4.5.3 directly. You have to rollback to 3.2.8, upgrade to 4.5.2 then disable OTA (over the air updates) so Amazon doesn't push you to back up to 4.5.3 or beyond. Basic instructions here but I suggest you skim the entire thread before doing anything. Also see this if you are thinking about installing other roms and this thread if considering installing gaps on 4.5.2.
Looking for help rooting 3.2.8
Hey guys, I managed to downgrade my HDX Thor to 3.2.8 from 4.5.3 and upgraded back to 4.5.2. I rooted it and that was successfully I'm having the black screen issue after installing safestrap, namely the screen flickers a little but doesn't do anything and needs a hard reset. Booting back into fire os is fine.
So I decided to downgrade back to 3.2.8 to try installing safestrap again but can't gain root access. Any clues on rooting 3.2.8? I searched but couldn't find anything for 3.2.8 specifically, only lower or at 4.5.2.

updated source for Safestrap-thor?
I have been trying for two days, on three devices to download: "Safestrap-Thor-3.75-os3.2.4-B02.apk" from goo.im... however everytime the page loads and i get the download button, I get an error "invaildcust" message.
I have spent a good amount of time searching for alternative sources, but unforturnity been unable to locate one... I have rolled back from 4.5.3 (which was rooted, but I want a diff rom, so didnt help me much). So that I could install a different rom... I would even be happy with roll-back or upgrade to a differnt version...
In the end I want to replace fireos, the goal was to go with Ubuntu Touch... but the more I mess with this the more it seems like my Kindle isnt the right version (only seem to be otter and otter2 ports).
Sooooo if anyone could direct me on to where I can download/obtain SafeStrap, that would be a great help. Thanks

Thanks

I checked the Goo.im link and they seem to be having issues with it right now. I get the same "invalid cust" as you do too. I've uploaded "Safestrap-Thor-3.75-os3.2.4-B02.apk" to my Google Drive for you, hope that helps.
I can't post links as I don't have 10 posts yet, you just have to remove the spaces I added to the link below. Gotta help another out you know!

No problem, I hope that helps you out. Not sure about Ubuntu touch though. I may be wrong and it might have been a new development but I haven't seen it here yet.

Android is Upgrading....
Seems that this works without any issues, still haven't fully booted up but looking very hopeful.

this worked until...
So this process worked without any issues except that I wanted access to Xposed and after flashing the zip file for Xposed, it broke some of the LG programs. The first being LG Smart something, had to get past the forced close screens to remove it via Titanium and in return broke the LG weather app now. Other then this small hiccup the rom fully updated everything although Wi-Fi is slightly slow and not sure how to fix it. I do have apps force close randomly as well.
Possible brick going from CM12 to this ROM
I previously had a CM12 nightly on this device, and followed instructions fully to apply this ROM. Backup was successful, unzip was successful, and script completed with version number displayed, etc. Next prompt was to flash SuperSU. During that process, a red message appeared in the console in TWRP and the phone immediately shut off. I couldn't read the message. I am now unable to get the phone to power on at all - not normally, not with the recovery key combo, not with plugging on USB while holding volume up button. Unless you all have a suggestion, I will attempt to get a replacement from the carrier.

sounds bad, sorry i cant be of assistance. was just curious that you got a prompt to install su. the rom is rooted already, not sure why it would have prompted you.
really odd that the phone shows no sign of life at all. maybe try pulling the sim, sd card, and battery for a couple min, then just put the battery only back and see if it wants to do anything.

That's a known Xposed issue with our phone or LG in general. It's an Xposed problem.

I am wondering why the install includes aboot and laf. Are they any different then 12b?

because you dont have to be on 12b. in which case they would be needed.

[ROOT] Working CF Auto Root for US Cellular SM-J320R4

So I doubt there's too many others looking for this anymore (all I could find were a few old threads that seemed to fizzle out pretty quickly), but as some may remember, the existing pre-built CFAR for this phone that's widely available on the net didn't work for some reason. One person in the old threads here said that they eventually did get it to work after several failed initial attempts, but I didn't see any followup posts or explanations. Anyway, that particular version would flash successfully but would hang on the splash screen with a SEAndroid error and refuse to boot.
Thinking it might be a version mismatch or something, I tried generating a new CFAR based on the current firmware (ARA2, January 2018) using the default settings, but that only gave me a file that wouldn't even flash ("unsupported dev type"). So I dicked around with a few settings, generated another CFAR file, and voila - root for the USCC "Galaxy J3 6" on MM. The usual disclaimers apply of course, but I feel like you should be good with this one in case anyone still wants root on this thing.
Note: On the first flash, the phone booted only to the initial splash screen with the "Recovery Not SEAndroid Enforcing" error and a "Set Warranty Bit: Cache" one too. It'll hang here for a minute, but before long the phone will reboot. When it comes back those will be replaced by the usual yellow "Set Warranty Bit: Kernel" error. This time it'll boot to the Samsung logo and then reboot itself again. Third time is the charm, though - it should go ahead and boot fully now, and you're good to go.
Here's the file - http://www.mediafire.com/file/ugkdb...m-j320r4_j3lteusc_mmb29m.j320r4tys2ara2_t0.7z
Now, how bout a recovery? There's what claims to be an unofficial TWRP build for this phone ("j3lteusc") that exists online, but I could never get it working (flashes, but only boots to stock still). However, the official generic "j3lte" build (found here - https://dl.twrp.me/j3lte/) will flash and boot successfully, but for some reason touch doesn't work, making it kinda useless. Anyone know how to fix that?
(BTW, in case anyone's not aware, the 320R4 is already network unlocked and works fine on GSM, though the network mode and APN settings are only accessible through hidden menus until you enable Global Mode in the hidden LTE settings menu.)
I actually have a fully working TWRP for the SM-J320R4
with fully functional touch capabilities with f2fs support and otg support... if your interested let me know by private message or replying on here
---------- Post added at 08:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:41 PM ----------
I also have a CFAR that works perfectly as well as some custom roms as well as xposed and multiple TWRP backups
J320r4 TWRP and ROMs, please? CFAR?
May I have access please? I have a j3lteusc/J320r4. It's my first root. Would love to find success! Also, will I need to flash the first release stock fw that was there before the OTA updates? Or is it fine to install and root on updated firmware it has now?

Samsung S9+ rooted, daily irregular automatic reboot

Hey guys,
I have bought a Samsung S9+ via Amazon.
Because I am rooting my Samsungs since forever, I intended to do so again immediately. Used Magisk and so on.
Somehow this phone got stuck at the logo (bootloop?) and I couldnt use it anymore. Felt like the whole system was broken cuz nothing was possible.
So I downloaded a legit new firmware (I think it was the right one for my model) and used Odin to upload it on my phone. Then I rooted the phone again without any issues.
Perfect root right now.
However, independent from any used apps the phone reboots everyday by itself, lockscreen or while using. (I assume its not an app issue then..?)
I'd highly appreciate any help.
PS. I forgot where I got the firmware from, but it was definitely a legit website.
Here are some phone stats.
Modelnumber:SM-G965F/DS
ONE UI-Version 1.0
Android Version 9
Kernel Version 4.9.59-15540155
Please let me know if you need more information.
THank you ahead

I have heard that there is a "protective system" against root on the new galaxy phones, did you try flashing this too?
https://download.highonandroid.com/...65_PIE_Root_for_OEM_issue_devices_V5.zip.html
Hope this will help!
Thanks for the reply.
I think I have done that too.
Followed a certain guide on xda actually, which included 3 or 4 files for rooting.
Is it afterwards via magisk possible?
Whats the suggestion anyone can give me, except maybe as last option reflashing everything.
Also, where would I be able to find a proper firmware if that is the issue.
Thanks a lot!

Try cleaning cache partition, if it doesn't work, try booting into safe mode, and see if the problem persists, if not, it must be a app, disable apps one by one and see which one is causing the problem
Magisk can only flash modules specially designed for it.

I have actually factory reset my phone completely and while adjusting the first settings (right after the wipe, with no apps yet) it did it again..Reboot.
However, I didnt mention, the reboot might happen, but after the phone is back to its previous state, apps are still opened. Technically its not a real reboot then.
Happens once a day, no fixed time.
Is it a matter of a wrong root? Followed this one
youtube.com/watch?v=-Fx8sD8yqpw
exactly the same way.
Still looking for help :/
